The strength is the sum of the whole class, and he is promoted to the Grandmaster level at the beginning.

102: Black unicorn badgeAfter these senior students left, Lin Yan and the others took the registration forms and found Yu Xiu, also mentioning the issue of too many new recruits.

”Then let’s select some qualified people from today’s group first, and have them join the society tomorrow.”

Lin Yan and the others nodded, asking, ”Boss, by merit or...?”

”By merit!”

Yu Xiu said, ”Let them become reserve members first, and then they’ll be assessed later.”

Lin Yan picked up the registration form, glanced at it, and then said, ”If we’re selecting by merit, there are more sophomores and juniors.”

”Among them, some have already achieved a Breakthrough to Grandmaster. Oh, and many senior students rushed back just now.”

Yu Xiu said, ”The society’s official members only need to be set at two thousand. The rest will be registered as reserve members.”

”Survival of the fittest, with irregular assessments based on strength, Talent, character, and loyalty. We’ll approach it from these aspects.”

”Lin Yan, you all will temporarily be in charge of the society’s affairs. Once Chu Tianjiao and the others return, we won’t be short-handed anymore.”

”For the initial batch of reserve members, you can decide and notify them.”

”Go back and rest early!”

It was already nine o’clock when the recruitment ended. After being delayed here for a while, Lin Yan and the others would likely be up very late if they went back to screen the early recruited reserve members.

...

The next morning.

Around six or seven o’clock, a long line had already formed outside the society.

After yesterday’s news had time to spread, the number of people today not only didn’t decrease but actually increased.

It was evident that many senior students had rushed back upon hearing the news.

Senior students, through their academic tasks and a year of running around outside, had encountered many more and more complex people and events.

The reason they were so keen on joining the society, unlike the freshmen, was entirely because of Yu Xiu’s reputation.

Their main goal was to join the Battle Team, and secondarily, it was Yu Xiu’s Martial King strength.

The saying ’it’s good to enjoy the shade when leaning against a big tree’ was something senior students had personally experienced during their year out and about.

”We’ll continue registrations today.”

Close to eight o’clock, Lin Yan and the others arrived, but with them came two hundred students who had been recruited early.

Most of them were sophomores and juniors, with not many freshmen.

...

It wasn’t until noon that the recruitment event finally concluded.

Lin Yan checked the registration forms and found that the number of registrants had reached thirteen thousand.

Huaxia University currently had just over fifty thousand enrolled students, and thirteen thousand of them had joined the society.

This number was quite incredible. Among the thirteen thousand, freshmen accounted for only two to three thousand, with ten thousand being students from sophomore year and above.

This was also because the freshmen’s strength was insufficient; if the recruitment standards were lowered, perhaps half of Huaxia University’s students would be society members.

”Boss, thirteen thousand people signed up for our society this time.”

Yu Xiu was not surprised by this.

With his Martial Venerable strength, and being a Mind Power Master, it wasn’t particularly difficult for him to estimate the approximate number.

Yu Xiu had already anticipated such a number from the queues over the past two days.

However, thirteen thousand people was a bit over the limit.

Whether it was society activities or welfare events, the expenses would also be much larger.

Just imagine.

If a society activity involved over ten thousand people, those who knew would merely be surprised, but those who didn’t might think it was a war, inevitably causing panic.

Moreover, there was still the Qilin Class from other universities; once they jointly organized society activities, that would be tens of thousands of people.

”Continue screening, and still select the best, finally leaving five thousand people.”

”Two thousand official members, three thousand reserve members.”

Yu Xiu said, ”I’ve already spoken with the principal. You can use the school’s System to check these people’s information.”

”Through their family background, martial warrior yuan training duration, Breakthrough time at each Rank, and proficiency in Martial Skills.”

”The most important thing is character.”

At this point, Yu Xiu glanced at the two hundred people nearby again, ”As for you all, cross-reference the information and just record it.”

After all, the information of thirteen thousand people couldn’t be handled by just a few people like Lin Yan.

If these two hundred early recruited reserve members were included, each person would only need to review the information of fifty or sixty people, significantly reducing the workload.

”Understood, Boss. We’ll head to the school’s System room now.”

Yu Xiu waved his hand and said, ”It’s lunchtime now. Take them to eat first. I’ll transfer a hundred thousand martial warrior yuan to you later.”

Lin Yan waved his hand and said, ”No need, Boss, I can afford to treat them to a meal.”

”Yours is yours, what I give is what I give. A hundred thousand martial warrior yuan, use it as you see fit. You can keep the extra.”

Yu Xiu waved his hand, then turned and left the society.

He had thought forming a society would be troublesome, but he hadn’t expected it to be this troublesome.

Suddenly having thirteen thousand people sign up, such a structure truly surprised him.

If not for the help of Lin Yan and the others, Yu Xiu would probably be overwhelmed.

Including the future management of the Battle Team.

He now believed it was necessary to cultivate more management-oriented Talents.

Chu Tianjiao and the others would be suitable, but they were currently participating in the National Training Camp.

Calculating the time, they should be back in about half a month.

...

While Lin Yan and the others were organizing the information, Yu Xiu, on the other hand, became idle.

He didn’t have any urgent matters right now; the urgent matters would come after military training.

Yu Xiu roughly calculated that after military training, first would be team registration and naming, followed by the freshman exchange competition.

Next would be the relic assessment on the full moon night, and finally the Secret Realm competition.

However.

Up until military training, this was a rare period of rest and relaxation for Yu Xiu.

He feared that after this period, he would once again be endlessly busy.

”Boss!”

At this moment, Lin Yan found Yu Xiu.

Yesterday, Lin Yan had already reported the screened society members to Yu Xiu.

After Yu Xiu’s nod, these five thousand people officially became reserve members.

Among them, senior students accounted for thirty percent, freshmen only ten percent, and the rest were sophomores and juniors.

Of course, Lin Yan was now considered the acting president of the society.

”Boss, these are the society emblems made according to your instructions.”

”The golden Qilin is for official members to wear; I made two thousand.”

”The silver Qilin is for reserve members to wear; I made five thousand.”

As Lin Yan took out the emblems one by one, he introduced, ”And these Ink Kirin emblems, seven hundred of them, these are the Battle Team member emblems made according to the Boss’s instructions.”

It was clear.

When Lin Yan took out the Ink Kirin emblems, his eyes revealed a longing.

Only by wearing the Ink Kirin emblem would it mean that he was a member of the Qilin Battle Team, truly becoming a direct subordinate.

”Lin Yan, you all will wear the Ink Kirin emblem, and the others will wear the silver Qilin emblem.”

”Ink, Ink Kirin emblem?”

Lin Yan immediately froze in place.

”What? Don’t want to wear it?”

”No, it’s not that, Boss. I really want to wear the Ink Kirin emblem.”

Lin Yan said incoherently with excitement, ”Thank you, Boss, thank you, Boss.”

Yu Xiu waved his hand and said, ”Gather the society members later and distribute the emblems.”

”I will personally put on your Ink emblems for you.”
