Livestream Conflict-solver: The Whole Internet Begs Me for Justice!

74: You did a great job, kid!”People in the car, listen up! Slowly open the door! Put your hands where I can see them!”

Zhang Ze obediently pushed open the car door, one leg stepping out first.

He raised his hands high, slowly straightened his body, and even wore a friendly smile on his face.

”Officers, hello. Thank you for your hard work.”

”Don’t move! Hands up!” The team member next to him immediately shouted sternly, the muzzle pointed steadily at Zhang... Ze.

”Yes, yes, they’re up.”

An Yang also got out of the car. His nearly two-meter-tall burly figure cast a huge shadow under the illumination of several strong lights, causing the assault team members to subconsciously tense their muscles.

”Uh... Big Brother, just stand still. You don’t need to specifically show off your muscles.” A young team member couldn’t help but say.

An Yang: ”Huh? I’m not moving!”

The captain coughed, breaking the awkward atmosphere.

”Control them!”

Two team members immediately stepped forward, preparing to put restraint handcuffs on Zhang Ze and An Yang.

Just then, Zhang Ze suddenly spoke.

”Officer, I suggest you deal with that mercedes-benz first.”

He pointed his chin toward the mercedes-benz car not far away that had crashed into the median strip and was now a pile of scrap metal.

”There are two big fish in there, and also, there’s a gun.”

”A gun?” The captain’s eyes narrowed.

This intelligence completely matched the information they received from the command center.

”How do you know?” he pressed.

Zhang Ze shrugged: ”Because that thing was just shooting at the back of my car, ruining my paint job. See, if you don’t believe me.”

He pointed to the clear scratch mark on the porsche’s body.

The captain looked in the direction he pointed.

That was indeed a bullet mark!

”Team One! Team Two! Head to the mercedes-benz! Maintain vigilance!” The captain made an immediate decision and gave the order.

”Yes, sir!”

Several assault team members quickly flanked the mercedes-benz.

”Bang! Bang!”

They used their gun butts to smash the already deformed car windows.

”Don’t move! Police!”

Inside the car, Zhao Scorpion and Scarface had just struggled free from the embrace of the airbags when several black muzzles were pressed against their heads.

Both men instantly turned ashen.

Zhao Scorpion stared at Zhang Ze not far away, his eyes filled with hatred, wishing he could devour him alive.

Scarface, meanwhile, was completely terrified, clutching his head with both hands.

”Reporting, Captain! Suspects are controlled!”

”Search the vehicle!”

A team member climbed into the car and began a meticulous search.

A few seconds later, he backed out and shook his head at the captain.

”Report! No firearms found!”

”What?” The captain frowned deeply.

Zhao Scorpion felt a hint of secret delight upon hearing this.

As long as the gun wasn’t found, there was still room for maneuver.

Zhang Ze, however, smiled.

He leisurely said to the captain: ”Officer, your search wasn’t thorough enough.”

[Eagle Eye Vision (Intermediate)] had already been activated.

In his sight, everything inside the mercedes-benz was crystal clear.

The black Type 54 pistol, during the violent collision, slipped from Zhao Scorpion’s hand and slid into an extremely hidden gap beneath the passenger seat.

”Passenger seat, in the slide rail gap on the lower left.”

”Go check it out!” The captain immediately ordered.

The team member climbed back into the car and, following Zhang Ze’s instructions, reached out and felt around.

Soon, his expression became serious.

When he emerged again, he held a Type 54 pistol, sealed in an evidence bag and gleaming with a cold metallic sheen.

”Reporting, Captain! Found it!”

The last trace of color drained from Zhao Scorpion’s face, and he slumped in his seat as if his bones had been pulled out.

He knew he was finished.

Completely finished.

”Zhang Ze! I’ll f*cking kill you! You just wait!” Zhao Scorpion suddenly roared hysterically.

”Cuff them! Take them away!” the captain ordered coldly.

Just then, several police cars drove up. The doors opened, and a middle-aged man wearing two bars and three stars on his shoulder quickly walked over, surrounded by several officers.

He was none other than the Director of the Jianghai City Public Security Bureau, Qin Weiguo.

Qin Weiguo did not look at the escorted Zhao Scorpion, but walked straight up to Zhang Ze.

He sized up Zhang Ze.

”You are ’Brother Pingshi’?” Qin Weiguo asked in a deep voice.

Zhang Ze raised an eyebrow: ”That would be me, Director.”

”You kid, you’ve got guts.”

”Facing gunfire, not only did you not run, but you dared to turn around and fight back. In all of Jianghai City, you’re the first.”

Zhang Ze chuckled: ”Mainly, I felt bad for my car. I just got it, and it hasn’t even been driven properly yet.”

An Yang listened dumbfounded from the side.

The Boss is actually chatting with the Director like this?

That’s a huge deal!

”Zhao Scorpion’s gang has been entrenched in West City for many years. We’ve always wanted to move against him, but we lacked key evidence.”

”Your actions tonight—mass fighting, street pursuit, and finally forcing him to use a gun...”

”With both witnesses and physical evidence, even if he has tremendous capabilities, he won’t be getting out now.”

Qin Weiguo patted Zhang Ze’s shoulder.

”You kid, you did well.”

”We watched your live stream tonight from the command center the entire time. To be honest, even I was sweating for you.”

Zhang Ze’s heart stirred.

No wonder the police arrived so quickly and with such a large presence.

So he had already become the star of a ”live broadcast.”

”Then... Director, does this count as meritorious service?” Zhang Ze rubbed his hands together, asking expectantly.

”It counts! Of course it counts!” Qin Weiguo laughed heartily. ”Later, I will personally apply for a medal and bonus for courageous behavior on your behalf!”

”That’s wonderful!” Zhang Ze beamed.

”However...” Qin Weiguo changed the subject, ”Speeding, dangerous driving, intentional damage to other people’s property... we still have to discuss these matters.”

Zhang Ze’s smile froze.

”Director, that was self-defense and emergency avoidance!”

”Alright, stop joking around.” Qin Weiguo scolded him with a smile. ”Come back with us to make a statement and clarify the situation.”

”As for your car...” He glanced at the battered porsche.

”We will contact a tow truck, and help you contact the best repair shop. The costs will come from the illegal gains confiscated from Zhao Scorpion.”

”The Director is brilliant!” Zhang Ze immediately offered a compliment.

A thrilling chase came to an end in such a dramatic fashion.

Zhang Ze and An Yang got into Qin Weiguo’s car and headed to the Municipal Bureau.

On the way, Zhang Ze suddenly remembered that he didn’t know what had happened to his live stream.

With a thought, he used his mind to open the live stream backend.

The live stream room had already been forcibly closed by the authorities.

But the number of followers made him gasp sharply.

The follower count for the ”Brother Pingshi” account, which was over 700,000, had skyrocketed overnight to... 1.36 million!
