Chapter 652: The Heavenly Emperorʼs Heir Gone Soft?

The battlefield fell silent. All stared at Ye Chen, eyes filled with shock and disbelief. Eight top prodigies besieged him, yet it looked like he had them surrounded.

The Heavenly Emperorʼs heir didnʼt even stand, right hand still on his companionʼs stunning waist. With one hand, he wove techniques and laws, instantly killing seven.

Unbelievable. He was only at First Heaven, a realm below them. Yet it seemed he was a realm above. Was this generationʼs Heavenly Emperorʼs heir too monstrous? He wasnʼt the Emperorʼs heir—the Emperor was his heir!

Luo Bingling, beside him, gaped, mouth wide, staring in disbelief. Sheʼd braced for a deadly fight, expecting injuries. Yet she hadnʼt even stood, and Ye Chen wiped out the prodigies in a blink? Sitting by him, had she built any bond? With him killing all enemies, would gifting the Space Divine Stone even matter? And why was he this strong?

Her mind buzzed. Sheʼd thought he was strong but showy. Now she saw—he wasnʼt showing off. He was just that powerful.

…

Ye Chen ignored the reactions. After killing seven, he didnʼt pause, unleashing a Heavenly Emperor Fist. The punch was earth-shattering. Yao Yuekongʼs towering demon god shadow, capable of crushing all, pressed down. But Ye Chenʼs fist met it, piercing through.

Reincarnationʼs terrifying force obliterated the shadow. Yao Yuekong, standing afar, cracked across his bronze, dragon-like body. Blood streamed. He seemed moments from shattering. But his physique was resilient—green life aura bloomed above, healing all wounds instantly.

All eyes turned to him. The only one to survive Ye Chenʼs strike today. But that was it. Even surviving one hit, how many more could he take?

His death seemed certain. His face paled, eyes flashing with despair and unwillingness. He knew his fate matched Ba Wang and the seven. But he didnʼt want to die. Born deficient due to clan power struggles, his parents spent centuries fixing him, enabling his cultivation path to prodigy status. His journey was paved with immense effort and sacrifice. To fall at Second Heaven? He couldnʼt accept it.

Yao Yuekong sensed Ye Chenʼs Heavy Pupils swirling with chaotic qi, gathering terrifying destructive power. With a bitter smile, he spoke, ”Heavenly Emperorʼs heir, it was the Feather Transformation Divine Body and other Central Continent human prodigies who hunted your allies. I met your senior brother, Hua Yunfei, the Moral Heavenly Venerableʼs heir. I struck once, intending a fair fight, but stopped when I saw others chasing him. Only you are worth my siege. No one else. We have no deep grudge! Can you spare me? The Heavenly Demon Clan will offer ample compensation!”

Ye Chenʼs face remained expressionless. Even if Yao Yuekong hadnʼt targeted his allies, two sieges against him warranted death. Besides, with the human prodigies who attacked him dead, sparing a myriad races demon after a plea? What would others think?

In both lives, Ye Chen despised those harsh on their own kind but lenient to outsiders. Yao Yuekong had to die.

Seeing Ye Chen unmoved, red divine light coalescing in his right eye, ready to strike, Yao Yuekong held his dignity. No begging. He could die, but not disgrace his clan.

”I have a twin sister, a perfect Heavenly Demon Body, far more gifted than my deficient self, already at half-Saint. My aunt, a Peacock Royal Clan Saint King, once called the myriad racesʼ top female immortal…”

Before he finished, Ye Chenʼs terrifying divine light shot out.

Yao Yuekong stopped, sighing.

Of course—Ye Chen, such a being, wouldnʼt fear revenge. Closing his eyes, he awaited death. But then, he opened them. The divine light, moments from hitting, veered at a near-right angle, blasting into the crowd. It struck a Second Heaven cultivator, shattering him to pieces.

Yao Yuekong froze.

The crowd erupted. Watching the spectacle got someone killed? Was the Heavenly Emperorʼs heir slaughtering everyone?

Spectators fled, fearing Ye Chenʼs killing spree would pick more ”lucky” targets. Killing top prodigies was like slaughtering chickens. Killing them? Easier.

Ye Chenʼs lips curved, explaining, ”He chased my senior brother. I saw him in a recording stone…”

The crowd exhaled. Not random! But several figures paled, using secret techniques to flee. None could escape Ye Chenʼs reckoning. A distant point, infused with the Fight Secretʼs terrifying law, killed them. He then grabbed three mentally tough cultivators who thought theyʼd escaped, crushing them effortlessly. Only then did Ye Chen retract his hand, his terrifying aura fading.

Killing Mahayana cultivators like dogs, he awed the crowd further. Yet, amid the awe, they stared, confused, at the still-standing Yao Yuekong. He wasnʼt dead? Had the Heavenly Emperorʼs heir stopped fighting? Was he sparing him?

No one had heard of him sparing male cultivators. Could it be… Recalling Yao Yuekongʼs last words, their eyes widened in disbelief.

Yao Yuekong, dazed, seemed to realize something, his lips twitching. Had his unfinished threat caused a misunderstanding?
