The Spell's Range Covers the Entire Territory of China? Hand It Over to the Nation

21: Chapter 21 Is this just a typical ”localized marine climate”?Dragon Summer, Ministry of Foreign Affairs press briefing hall.

It had long been packed to the brim.

Cameras and microphones were aimed at the spokesperson on the stage. Western reporters were flushed, as if they were the ones who had collided with ships in the sea just moments ago.

”May I ask the spokesperson!” A reporter from CNN stood up directly, ignoring all politeness, with an aggressive tone. ”Regarding the so-called ’Fog Incident’ in the South China Sea, did your country use prohibited weather weapons or nerve gas? Why was only the Chinese side’s vision clear? Is this a deliberate murder attempt against the allied fleet?”

The hall went silent. Everyone was waiting for Dragon Summer to provide an explanation.

Mr. Zhang, the spokesperson on stage, pushed up the glasses on the bridge of his nose.

He wore a professional smile, slowly opening the documents in front of him.

”This reporter friend, your imagination is very rich. It’s a pity you don’t write science fiction.”

”Regarding the situation in the South China Sea, our relevant departments have just issued a notice.”

”Due to active submarine crustal movements recently, a very rare ’local marine microclimate phenomenon’ has occurred in the waters around Longya Island. This climate causes abnormal light refraction and is accompanied by a certain degree of magnetic field disturbance.”

”This is the miraculous craftsmanship of nature, a natural disaster that cannot be intervened by human force.”

The CNN reporter was shaking with anger: ”Natural disaster? Then why are your ships okay? Why could you see?”

Mr. Zhang looked at him with surprise: ”Who said we could see?”

”The video on the internet just now...”

”Oh, that.” Mr. Zhang interrupted calmly. ”That was a simulation animation made by our special effects department to popularize navigation safety knowledge to the public. As for why our ships are fine... well, perhaps it’s because our captain has good eyesight and eats a lot of carrots.”

The Dragon Summer reporters in the audience were already pinching their thighs desperately, afraid they would laugh out loud.

Good grief, eating a lot of carrots!

Mr. Zhang put away his smile and said seriously: ”As for the ’deliberate murder’ you mentioned, we express strong protest. Just now, our destroyer Zhenhai was still broadcasting, kindly guiding some lost foreign ships. Although... they didn’t seem to listen and insisted on hitting the reefs.”

”Regarding this behavior of ignoring warnings and insisting on performing ’dangerous stunts’ in severe sea conditions, we express deep regret and, out of humanitarian spirit, are closely monitoring the development of the situation.”

”Next question.”

...

This kind of ”jargon” exchange on the diplomatic stage left global audiences stunned.

What is the aura of a great power?

It means I played you for a fool right in front of your face, and I still have to tell you with a straight face that it’s for your own good, while you, besides being impotently furious, can’t even find a reason to refute it.

The top brass of Western countries must be smashing their desks right now, but legally, they suffered a silent loss.

You were the ones who insisted on breaking in.

You were the ones who crashed the ships.

They said it was weather-related, and you have no evidence to refute it, since all your radars and satellites were blind.

It’s like a thief breaking into someone’s house to steal something, only to slip on a banana peel on the floor and break their leg, while the homeowner stands by and says: ”Oh my, I told you the floor was slippery, why were you so careless?”

...

However, human joys and sorrows are not connected.

The noise from the outside world and the carnival in Dragon Summer could not reach the dead, silent land locked by the fog.

South China Sea, Longya Island waters.

Inside the command room of the poseidon, it was a mess. Expensive red wine was spilled all over the floor.

General George slumped in the command chair, his hair disheveled, his eyes bloodshot. There was no trace of the gentlemanly demeanor he had while swirling his red wine glass earlier.

He lost.

He lost completely.

He hadn’t even seen the enemy’s face and was already played like a puppet. The sound of collisions, screams, and that damn ”Earth God” voiceover from earlier were like sharp thorns, stabbing into his brain.

”General... the damage control report is out.” The adjutant looked panicked. ”The propellers are severely damaged, power is down by 60%, the radar System is completely destroyed, and the communication System... is still completely blind. We are trapped.”

”And... our freshwater circulation System has also malfunctioned. I don’t know why, but the water coming out is all black...”

General George turned his head blankly, looking at the pale expanse outside the window.

The fog was like a wall of sighs, cutting off all hope. Panic had already caused the soldiers below to mutiny; some tried to lower lifeboats to escape, only to disappear into the fog in the blink of an eye, leaving behind only a shrill scream, their whereabouts unknown.

Is this the mysterious power of the East?

”We are the most powerful fleet in the world... how could it be...” General George muttered to himself, his nails digging deep into the leather armrests.

He was not reconciled.

George Smith was the pride of his Family, a candidate for the future Secretary of the Navy; how could he end up here like a clown?

If he went back like this, tail between his legs, he would become the laughingstock of the entire Western world and be nailed to the pillar of shame to be spat upon for the rest of his life.

”No... it’s not over yet.”

General George suddenly laughed hysterically.

”Since I can’t get what I want, no one else will get it either!”

He lunged at the console, pushed aside the panicked operator, and with trembling hands, entered a string of highest-level authorization commands.

”Activate the ’Dragon Slayer’ plan! Activate the crustal oscillator on the prometheus!”

The adjutant was horrified and rushed up to stop him: ”General! Have you gone mad? This is a fault zone! Although the prometheus is at the rear of the fleet, once the oscillator is activated, it will trigger a super tsunami! Even we won’t be able to escape!”

”Run? Where to run?!”

General George kicked the adjutant away and roared hysterically: ”This fog is impossible to get out of! We are already dead men! Since we are dead men, let’s drag the entire Dragon Summer coastline down with us to the grave!”

”This is the true ’Wrath of the Sea God’! Let those yellow-skinned monkeys who mocked us go feed the fish at the bottom of the sea! As long as a tsunami is triggered, Longya Island will sink, and they won’t get anything!”

As the red button was pressed down hard.

At the rear of the fleet, the unremarkable giant research ship, the prometheus, suddenly emitted a terrifying roar.

The ship’s camouflage shell peeled off layer by layer, revealing its hideous true form. Deep in the hull, a huge mechanical hatch opened with a bang.

A giant metal probe, a hundred meters long and several meters in diameter, slowly extended. It crackled with eerie, ghostly blue electric arcs, like a venom-dipped fang, carrying an aura of destruction, aiming at the seabed rock layer below.

This was a strategic-level environmental modification instrument secretly developed by the Eagle Federation, codenamed ”gods hammer”. Its original design purpose was to mine deep-sea mineral deposits by vibrating and crushing rock layers. But as long as the frequency was adjusted and combined with crustal oscillation bunker-buster missiles, it could create an artificial mega-tsunami on the fragile geological fault zone capable of destroying coastal civilizations!

The probe began to accelerate, the blue light intensifying, about to pierce fiercely into the flesh and blood of the Earth.

However, at this moment.

Inside the Kunlun Palace.

Su Yun had already thrown out another totem.
