Fantasy: Reject the Supreme Bone at the Beginning

16: Wind Emperor, Wind DragonAfter speaking, True Person Da Feng grabbed Lin Xiao’s clothes, jumped, and disappeared into the Void Realm, followed closely by Limitless Sage and Daoist Luo Feng.

Lin Xiao only felt his vision go dark.

When he opened his eyes again, he found himself in a magnificent and imposing palace, a hall that resembled a study.

It looked somewhat similar to the imperial study rooms used by royalty in the TV dramas Lin Xiao used to watch.

”What is this place?” Lin Xiao asked, somewhat bewildered, as he looked around.

He saw a middle-aged man, dressed in a Dragon Robe and surrounded by the Dynasty’s Dragon Qi, sitting calmly on a huge Dragon Throne in the eastern part of the imperial study.

Although his cultivation was not strong, he exuded an extraordinary majesty.

His brows were like swords, radiating an imposing aura without needing to be angry, clearly indicating he was a person of immense power who had long held a high position.

”Unworthy descendant, Feng Zhenglong pays his respects to the Old Imperial Ancestor and all Seniors.”

When the man in the Dragon Robe saw Lin Xiao and Limitless Sage appear in the great hall, he immediately stood up and bowed.

”Feng Zhenglong? Could it be that I have already arrived in the Great Wind Dynasty’s territory?”

”This is too fast, isn’t it?” Hearing the man in the Dragon Robe, Lin Xiao quickly reacted, though his heart was still slightly startled.

He couldn’t help but marvel at the power of a Half-Saint Realm Expert.

The Immeasurable Holy Land and the Great Wind Dynasty are separated by hundreds of millions of miles, a distance a Mortal could never traverse in a lifetime, yet a Half-Saint could arrive in an instant.

If Lin Xiao were to travel by himself, even without rest, it would take him almost half a day to cover that distance.

True Half-Saint Realm Experts are terrifyingly powerful!

”Old Imperial Ancestor, who is this?”

After bowing to True Person Da Feng, the man in the Dragon Robe looked at Lin Xiao, slightly stunned, and asked with some confusion.

”Young Master Lin Xiao, he is a junior from the Lin Clan, a top Family from the Upper Realm, and a descendant of your Old Ancestor, my Saint Monarch. Just handle it as you see fit,” True Person Da Feng replied.

”So, it is a Prodigy from the Upper Realm. This little king was just a bit rude; I hope Young Master will not take offense.”

Upon hearing that Lin Xiao was a Disciple of the Lin Clan from the Upper Realm, the man in the Dragon Robe immediately grew somewhat flustered and bowed slightly to Lin Xiao.

As the ruler of a major power, he naturally knew much more than ordinary people.

He had, of course, heard of the Lin Clan, one of the most powerful forces in the Ancient Desolate Dao Domain.

”No harm, no harm,” Lin Xiao waved his hand, helping the man in the Dragon Robe to his feet.

”Old Imperial Ancestor, you and Senior are here today... should I notify the Old Ancestors?”

After standing up, the man in the Dragon Robe asked True Person Da Feng.

”No need. We won’t be staying long, perhaps leaving tomorrow. You may attend to your duties,” True Person Da Feng said indifferently, then looked at Lin Xiao.

”Young Master Lin Xiao, since you are a guest in my Great Wind Dynasty, why don’t you rest for a day, and we can make our move tomorrow? It would also allow this old man to fulfill his duties as a host.”

”Then let’s follow Senior’s suggestion. We will rest for a day and act tomorrow. What are your intentions, two Seniors?”

Lin Xiao nodded, looking at Limitless Sage and Daoist Luo Feng.

”That is excellent. This old man just remembered he has some unfinished business, so we shall meet tomorrow.”

Daoist Luo Feng said with a smile, instantly disappearing from the spot, with Limitless Sage following close behind.

”You should entertain Young Master Lin Xiao well. I have some matters to attend to, so I’ll be leaving first,” True Person Da Feng said to the man in the Dragon Robe, a hint of a successful scheme flashing in his eyes as he looked at Lin Xiao, then he too disappeared.

”Respectfully sending off Old Imperial Ancestor,” the man in the Dragon Robe quickly bowed, only slightly straightening his body when True Person Da Feng had completely vanished.

A glint of shrewdness flashed in his eyes as he looked at Lin Xiao; he had already roughly understood his Old Imperial Ancestor’s meaning.

”Young Master Lin Xiao, although my Great Wind Dynasty cannot compare to the prosperity of the Upper Realm, this little king will do his utmost to ensure you have an enjoyable time here,” the man in the Dragon Robe said with a smile to Lin Xiao.

”Emperor Feng, there’s no need to be so polite. This Lin is not a person who craves pleasure; just some simple food will do,” Lin Xiao said.

”Easily said, easily said. My Great Wind Dynasty may not dare to claim it can rival the Upper Realm in other aspects, but our cuisine is absolutely top-notch.”

”Young Master Lin Xiao, please follow me. I will take you to the palace where you will rest tonight, and then order someone to prepare a table of Great Wind’s traditional delicacies for you,” the man in the Dragon Robe said to Lin Xiao.

Lin Xiao nodded and followed the man in the Dragon Robe to a magnificent sleeping palace, the Qianxing Palace.

”Young Master Lin Xiao, these are some of the most luxurious residences in my imperial palace. Are you satisfied, Young Master?”

”Yes, yes,” Lin Xiao nodded.

”If Young Master is satisfied, this little king will take his leave. The delicacies will arrive shortly,” the man in the Dragon Robe said.

”Mm-hm, you may go attend to your business,” Lin Xiao replied casually.

Although his cultivation was profound and he no longer needed to eat, he still had some anticipation for the delicious food of the Mortal world.

But what Lin Xiao didn’t know was that the moment the man in the Dragon Robe left Lin Xiao’s sleeping palace, his own little scheme had already begun.

Great Wind Imperial Palace, Imperial Study.

At this moment, the man in the Dragon Robe, Feng Zhenglong, had shed his previous humble demeanor, his expression now utterly stern and majestic. Before him knelt a eunuch with a gloomy face.

”This servant wonders why His Majesty has summoned me to the Imperial Study?” The eunuch asked respectfully to Feng Zhenglong.

”I command you to immediately summon Princess Shangning back to the palace; I have important matters to discuss,” Feng Zhenglong said indifferently, his imperial majesty fully evident, imposing without anger.

”Oh, and also, have the Imperial Kitchen prepare a full Great Wind banquet and send it to Qianxing Palace,” Feng Zhenglong added.

”This servant obeys,” the eunuch said, then instantly vanished from the Imperial Study.

Not long after, people from the Imperial Kitchen, carrying platters of food, walked towards Lin Xiao’s sleeping palace, the Qianxing Palace.

The last platter was particularly conspicuous; it was much larger than the other food platters and was carried by four eunuch-like figures.

Looking closely, one could see that on this white jade platter lay a young girl, wrapped in a blanket.

The girl seemed to be wearing no clothing other than a jade gauze cloak, her entire body tightly wrapped in the blanket, her face somewhat flushed, as if she had consumed some kind of medicine.

If anyone with discerning eyes were present.

They would surely realize that the young woman on this platter was none other than Princess Shangning, the current Emperor’s most beloved daughter... ”Ning’er, ah, Ning’er, your Imperial Father has truly done his utmost for you. You must not blame your Imperial Father. Whether my Great Wind Dynasty can seize this opportunity to rise depends entirely on you.”

At this moment, Feng Zhenglong stood on the Star-Gazing Platform, looking thoughtfully at the Qianxing Palace where Lin Xiao was residing, and spoke.

To curry favor with Lin Xiao, he had truly gone all out today, but he had no regrets.
