147: Chapter 147 The Special Skills of the Stay-at-Home Brother”What, what, what!!!”

By the time Fang Xun understood what Qi Lian was planning, he was startled awake by Lu Li’s phone call.

Fang Xun listened to Lu Li’s call, then glanced at Qi Lian and Shen Yue who were playing games beside him.

”You two play at home first. I have something to take care of outside.”

With that, Fang Xun went to his room, felt for the pleasant goat mask, and then left the house.

”Hey, where is Brother going?” Shen Yue was a bit curious.

”Mm.” Qi Lian pondered for a moment: ”It might be about our work.”

”Huh?”

Shen Yue couldn’t figure it out; how was Brother related to their work?

Could it be that Brother had some little trick to finding a job?

Then why was Brother still staying at home?

... ...

On the other side, Fang Xun rode the little blue, creaking all the way to the entrance of the Special Affairs Bureau.

Seeing Fang Xun arrive riding the little blue, the soldier at the Special Affairs Bureau snapped to attention and saluted.

Then, without saying anything, he just watched Fang Xun go inside.

Fang Xun now entered and exited the Special Affairs Bureau as if walking through an uninhabited land.

Before long, Fang Xun arrived at Wei Heng’s office; he was quite familiar with the route.

Lao Chu Ru was sitting on a nearby chair, crossing his legs.

Next to Lao Chu Ru, an extra chair had been specially added, obviously prepared for him.

”Great Senior.”

As soon as Fang Xun arrived, Wei Heng immediately stood up, and Lu Li stood up along with him, feigning a respectful demeanor.

Upon seeing Lu Li, Fang Xun’s expression subtly shifted beneath the mask.

When fighting in the Alternate Dimension, he didn’t have time to think much, but seeing Lu Li again now, Fang Xun immediately remembered what Lu Li had done back in the Alternate Dimension.

At that time, Lu Li had kissed him, as if writing her last will and testament.

Hmm...

Unexpectedly pure.

Now looking at Lu Li, who appeared as usual, Fang Xun didn’t know if that incident was truly over, or...

”Great Senior, what’s wrong?” Seeing Fang Xun lost in thought, Lu Li spoke first:

”No, nothing.”

Now wasn’t the time to dwell on those things, so Fang Xun first looked at Wei Heng and said:

”Why did you call me here this time? The game?”

Fang Xun could never have imagined that one day a Disaster Beast could be associated with popular entertainment.

”Mm.” Wei Heng nodded while already taking out a complete set of regulations, holding it with both hands and handing it to Fang Xun.

Fang Xun took it with both hands and almost couldn’t hold back when he saw the title on the cover.

”Pilot Experiment Regarding Disaster Beast Undertaking Non-Labor-Intensive Work (Part 1)”

”So, we’re actually making a game.”

When Fang Xun first heard Lian Lian mention it, he thought the young girl was just being whimsical.

The time and energy required to create this thing were not insignificant.

Moreover, failure would mean all efforts were in vain.

But now, Wei Heng had actually produced a formal set of regulations.

While thinking, Fang Xun casually flipped through the regulations.

... ...

Now, this was truly outside his area of knowledge.

”Cough.” Fang Xun coughed dryly, signaling Wei Heng to sit down, and then he also sat next to Lu Li.

”Um, could you explain it briefly?” Fang Xun gently poked Lu Li beside him with his hand.

”Mm.” After being poked so intimately by Fang Xun, Lu Li made a sound like a mosquito, which was very uncharacteristic.

Then Lu Li said:

”Regarding this document, it has a certain degree of feasibility.

Currently, the impact of Disaster Beast on low-end, labor-intensive industries is incredibly severe.

If we let them grow unchecked, we will see massive factory closures and widespread unemployment.

In fact, most of us will have to rely on the production of Disaster Beast for our daily lives.

But if we don’t give Disaster Beast work and restrict their movements...

Perhaps we can temporarily maintain a stable situation, but it might lead to another scenario.”

”They’ll become disobedient?” Fang Xun asked doubtfully.

”Not that,” Lu Li said awkwardly: ”They are extremely obedient. In fact, to increase their working hours and the number of workers, they are willing to build factories for us for free.”

”So?”

”The problem lies here,” Lu Li said helplessly: ”Actually, in the areas occupied by Disaster Beast, there are many factories.

Some of those factories are even larger and more advanced than those in Dongcheng City.

It’s just that those were occupied by Disaster Beast, and we couldn’t use them.

Now, the Disaster Beast have learned how to use them.”

”And then?”

”If we don’t allow it, they are already trying to help us recapture other fallen cities.

And we currently do not have enough population to fully support those cities.” By this point, Lu Li was finding it hard to maintain composure.

Fang Xun: ”?”

How could their thinking progress so quickly in just a few days?

”Would you attack them just because they help us recapture other cities?” Wei Heng asked somewhat awkwardly.

Originally, humans were the ones who most wanted to recover lost territory, but now, they had to stop others from helping them do so; it was somewhat absurd.

Fang Xun: ”...”

In fact, Wei Heng already knew the answer when he asked the question.

This Great Senior’s nature had softened somewhat.

He was a bit like an idealistic, naive university student holding onto a beautiful fantasy about the world.

However, this Great Senior’s power could realize the world of his ideals.

Moreover, this Great Senior seemed to have a rather close relationship with the leader of the Disaster Beast in Dongcheng City.

Thinking of this, Wei Heng glanced at Lu Li beside Fang Xun.

It’s all your fault for not being more assertive!

Wei Heng was disappointed in her.

”So, we haven’t discussed the matter of this document yet,” Fang Xun steered away from the topic and pointed at the document again.

”This?” Lu Li said upon hearing this: ”Yesterday, Lian... Qi Lian provided us with a new idea.”

”Making games?”

”Yes, not just games, but an entire cultural and entertainment industry. These industries do not produce resources; they only serve as entertainment activities. No matter how deeply the Disaster Beast cultivate this field, it cannot affect the lives of ordinary people.

Even if some cultural and entertainment workers are impacted, it is actually beneficial to the industry as a whole.

If they truly cannot compete with Disaster Beast in terms of physical strength, but they also can’t compete in terms of intellect, it only means they chose the wrong profession.

Moreover, this industry still requires quite a bit of labor.”

”Can this really work? Can Disaster Beast draw pictures and stuff?” Fang Xun still felt it was somewhat unreliable.

”It can work. What Disaster Beast excel at is imitation and learning.

If they want to enter the human world, in extreme cases, they only need to perfectly copy all the memories of one person to achieve a perfect mimicry.

We just need to let them practice more with AI, and they will perform even better than AI.

After all, they are not true AIs; they are biological beings with actual brains.”

”Then, shall we give it a try?” Fang Xun nodded.

”Then let’s try it.” Wei Heng nodded: ”I can use the name of the Special Affairs Bureau to directly connect with Tomato Novel Network, and first purchase the copyrights of some flop novels to test the waters.”
