Chapter 394: Fruits That Can Increase Comprehension

Seeing Ning Yiyi’s frightened expression, Lin Mohan suddenly burst into laughter, “I was just kidding!”

Ning Yiyi then realized she had been tricked by Lin Mohan and pouted, “Sister Han, you’re bullying me.”

Lin Mohan laughed heartily and slowly said, “The teacher said that if you kill animals here, it will increase the difficulty later on.”

“If you kill too many, it will become dangerous.”

Ning Yiyi asked curiously, “But my grandfather said this place is very safe.”

Lin Mohan nodded, “Generally speaking, yes. If you don’t court death, you won’t die.”

Indeed, that was the case.

Lin Moyu noticed that some people had increasingly strong auras, indicating they had killed quite a few animals. The animals turned into a strange aura after death, attaching to the killers, who felt nothing, which was quite eerie.

Lin Mohan didn’t care about others. He now used his spiritual power, fully focused on watching his surroundings, trying not to step on any animals.

After walking cautiously in the forest for a while, they could no longer see anyone else.

At this point, Lin Mohan took out a Bagua compass, the same one Lin Moyu had seen before.

Lin Mohan fiddled with it for a while, then pointed in a direction, “Let’s go that way.”

Mo Yun asked curiously, “What’s the difference?”

Lin Mohan said, “If we go that way, there’s a cave. Through the cave, there’s an orchard.”

Ning Yiyi was also puzzled, “Isn’t there an orchard over the mountain too?”

“No, no, no, this orchard is different,” Lin Mohan said mysteriously, leading the way.

They changed direction and walked to the other side, soon disappearing into the forest.

Lin Moyu continued to monitor every step, reminding them to avoid many inconspicuous bugs.

Lin Mohan kept adjusting the direction with the Bagua compass.

As a result, their speed was much slower than others.

While others walked in a straight line, they took a winding path.

But Lin Mohan was not in a hurry, and Mo Yun was patient.

As for Ning Yiyi, she was busy flattering Lin Mohan, calling her “Sister Han” affectionately, leaving Lin Moyu feeling a bit neglected.

Lin Moyu said nothing, knowing that his sister’s Bagua compass was no ordinary item.

He just needed to follow along without saying much.

After ten hours, they finally reached the foot of the mountain.

By this time, the main group was almost at the top.

Through the mist, they could see faint figures on the mountain.

Lin Mohan kept calculating with the Bagua compass and found an entrance in a hidden corner after walking along the foot of the mountain for a while.

The entrance was narrow, only allowing one person to pass at a time.

The four of them entered one by one, and soon the view opened up.

In the heart of the mountain, there was indeed an orchard.

The orchard was lush and thriving, with abundant, juicy red fruits that looked delicious.

Lin Mohan said, “The teacher told me that the fruits here are also graded.”

“The ones here are the highest grade, with the best effects.”

Mo Xinghe didn’t explain the effects of the fruits clearly, only saying to eat as many as possible within one’s ability.

What exactly “within one’s ability” meant was unclear.

Lin Moyu said softly, “I’ll try first.”

He decided to try it himself first. If there were any problems, he had damage transfer to ensure safety. He cast a detection spell.

The detection spell only returned the name of the fruit.

[High-Grade Fruit]

No other information was provided.

He picked a fruit and took a bite.

The fruit was juicy and sweet.

At that moment, memories of eating desert fruits flooded Lin Moyu’s mind.

Thinking back, it was quite harsh.

To find desert fruits, he had reset the dungeon countless times.

The juice melted in his throat and quickly spread through his body.

Lin Moyu shuddered, standing still.

He felt all his strength drain away like a tide.

He went from a powerful professional to an ordinary person.

Lin Moyu quickly checked his attributes.

[Name: Lin Moyu]

[Profession: Necromancer Lord (Unique)]

[Level: 45 (2.13%)]

[Strength (Sealed): 100]

[Agility (Sealed): 100]

[Mental (Sealed): 100]

[Constitution (Sealed): 100]

[Skills (Sealed): None]

Lin Mohan saw Lin Moyu’s pale face, “Xiaoyu, what’s wrong?”

Lin Moyu said, “My attributes and skills are all sealed.”

“Ah?”

They were stunned. How could this happen?

Was it because of eating the fruit?

Lin Moyu thought for a moment and ate the remaining half of the fruit. He felt his strength increase slightly.

Checking again, he found his four attributes had reached 200, doubling from before.

Lin Moyu picked another fruit and quickly ate it.

His four attributes reached 400.

Each fruit increased his total attributes by 800 points, evenly distributed among the four attributes.

Lin Moyu had a rough idea. No wonder they said to eat as many as possible.

The more he ate now, the more attributes he would gain, which would be beneficial for the next stage.

But Lin Moyu guessed there must be some limit; it couldn’t be unlimited.

Lin Moyu shared his guess, and Lin Mohan smiled, “Xiaoyu is right, that’s exactly it.”

Ning Yiyi asked curiously, “Sister Han, did you know this all along?”

Lin Mohan said matter-of-factly, “Of course, otherwise, why would I let Xiaoyu eat something unknown?”

Lin Moyu felt a bit helpless.

Alright, he had been tricked by his sister again.

Lin Mohan laughed, “Everyone, eat quickly. These are the highest-grade fruits, much better than the ones outside, and with fewer side effects.”

Ning Yiyi asked curiously, “Do these have side effects too?”

Lin Mohan said, “Yes, if you eat too much, you’ll feel full.”

Is that a side effect? Feeling full is a common trait of food.

Ning Yiyi patted her small belly, “Don’t worry, I can eat a lot.”

She pounced like a kitten, picking fruits and eating them quickly, exclaiming, “These fruits are so sweet and delicious.”

Mo Yun ate more elegantly, taking her time.

Lin Mohan ate slowly, explaining, “The more attributes you gain, the more advantageous it is for the next stage.”

“Besides the visible four attributes, there’s a hidden attribute.”

“Low-grade fruits can’t increase the hidden attribute, only these high-grade fruits can.”

Mo Yun asked, “What’s the hidden attribute?”

Lin Mohan smiled, “It’s called comprehension.”

Comprehension?

It was the first time they had heard of it.

Mo Yun and Ning Yiyi didn’t understand.

Their families didn’t know either.

Lin Mohan explained, “Comprehension has always existed, but we rarely use it.”

“For example, why do some people awaken talents upon job change while others don’t?”

“Why do some people, with the same skills and attributes, perform differently in battle?”

“Why can some people become god-level at level 89, while others can only become pseudo-gods?”

“Comprehension plays a role in all these.”

“But things that can increase comprehension are very rare. The fruits you’re holding are one of the few that can. So take the opportunity to eat more.”

Ning Yiyi’s eyes sparkled, “Sister Han, you’re amazing. How do you know so much?”

Lin Mohan smiled, “The teacher told me. Don’t tell anyone else.”

Mo Yun nodded, “We won’t.”

Ning Yiyi patted her chest, “I promise not to tell.”

Lin Moyu asked, “Sister, what kind of person is your teacher?”

He was curious about the only half-step super-god of the human race.

Lin Mohan smiled, “The teacher is a great person, almost perfect except for being strict.”

Lin Moyu didn’t expect such high praise from Lin Mohan.

Although curious, he didn’t ask further.

He just needed to know that the half-step super-god was good to his sister.

Thinking about the comprehension attribute, Lin Moyu realized it was the first time he had heard of it.

He thought comprehension played a crucial role in talent awakening and profession sublimation.

Why were there so many top professionals, but so few could become god-level?

It was likely related to comprehension.

Lin Moyu decided to eat more fruits to enhance this invisible attribute.
