Who Made Him an Antagonist

247: Chapter 247 The Senior Sister Faces ScrutinyNing Ke’er had a very good temper; due to her past experiences, she had become very capable of suppressing her own emotions.

But even so, seeing Jiang Ling, who had been taking such good care of Grandma, speak like that, she still couldn’t help but roll her eyes.

”I’m going to sleep!”

She didn’t want to pay attention to Jiang Ling, who kept showing off about taking such good care of Grandma.

As time passed, Jiang Ling, who had been tossing and turning, gradually settled down.

And Ning Ke’er, who was already used to sleeping early, also drifted off into dreamland in a daze.

The night grew deeper and deeper.

In the villa, the strange sounds coming from next door were taken by Ning Ke’er as a lullaby.

She didn’t know how much time had passed, but the sleeping Ning Ke’er felt an itch on the tip of her nose; she waved her hand to brush away the hair and said softly, ”Jiang Ling, why are you putting your hair on my face?”

For a long while, Jiang Ling did not answer.

Moreover, no matter how she brushed that hair away, it would always fall back onto her face.

Ning Ke’er’s heart tightened, and she suspiciously opened her sleepy eyes.

A head of long hair, like deep-sea seaweed, hung down from the ceiling all the way to her face.

Above that pitch-black hair was, shockingly, a woman sticking to the ceiling!

From within that hanging hair, she saw a pair of pitch-black pupils.

The woman stuck to the ceiling was smiling, her scarlet mouth stretched all the way to the back of her ears.

Furthermore, as if noticing that she had woken up, the woman with the hanging hair was eerily floating horizontally in the air and constantly descending towards her.

”Ghost!”

”This is a female ghost!”

Ning Ke’er swallowed a mouthful of saliva in terror and nervously closed her eyes again in a hurry.

Jiang Ling had said that in a dream, one must not be afraid!

The more afraid you are, the more excited the Ghostly creatures will be!

She shut her eyes tightly.

”Save… save me…”

Beside her, Jiang Ling’s whimpering voice sounded.

”This is a dream!”

”The Ghostly creatures transformed into Jiang Ling’s appearance to trick me into opening my eyes, then scare me and feed on my fear; once my fear is consumed, I will completely become the prey of the Ghostly creatures.”

”It’s fake, it’s all an illusion.”

”How could Jiang Ling be asking me for help? She is the only direct disciple of the Celestial Master Sect, a Celestial Master who slays demons and eliminates devils; how could she possibly ask an ordinary person like me for help?”

Ning Ke’er’s train of thought became increasingly clear.

She kept her eyes tightly shut, letting the long hair tickle her face and ignoring the fake Jiang Ling’s cries for help, pretending she didn’t hear them.

This was a normal situation; this was a normal tactic for Ghostly creatures to trick her into opening her eyes.

As long as she didn’t open her eyes, she wouldn’t see anything, and she wouldn’t feel fear.

”Save… save me!”

Jiang Ling’s cry for help sounded again.

Hiss, hiss…

Ning Ke’er suddenly felt a sharp pain in her thigh and couldn’t help but gasp.

”It’s an illusion, this is all normal.”

”This is a tactic for the Ghostly creatures to lure me into opening my eyes.”

”No, how could I feel so much pain in a dream!?”

Ning Ke’er suddenly realized something was wrong; she glanced over and saw that Jiang Ling, who claimed to be the only direct disciple of the Celestial Master Sect, was being choked tightly by a female ghost in red.

Her entire exquisite, doll-like face was as pale as wax paper.

She was being choked so hard that even her little tongue was sticking out!

”Hehehe…”

The red-clad female ghost choking Jiang Ling turned her head; her tongue was three feet long, and her pitch-black pupils stared at Ning Ke’er, her mouth stretched into an exaggerated arc, and her throat made a chilling, wheezing laughter, ”Hehehe…”

Sssss—

Just then, when the long-haired female ghost floating down from the ceiling reached out to touch Ning Ke’er, a flame suddenly flared up, causing white smoke to rise from the ghost’s palm, and then she was sent flying backward by a yellow talisman stuck to the collar of Ning Ke’er’s shirt.

”What is this?”

Ning Ke’er sat up in a panic, staring at the yellow talisman stuck to her clothes on her chest, her eyes filled with astonishment.

It seemed that Jiang Ling had stuck this on her while she was sleeping.

”Take… take the yellow talisman… hit… hit hit hit her!”

Jiang Ling was being choked by the red-clad female ghost until she rolled her eyes, her voice stuttering as she urged.

Ning Ke’er didn’t dare to hesitate; she took off the yellow talisman and slammed it towards the red-clad female ghost.

Sssss—

As soon as the yellow talisman touched the red-clad female ghost, it immediately turned into a burst of fire, burning the ghostly Qi into rising white smoke.

”Ahhhh…”

Amidst the ear-piercing wails, the red-clad female ghost choking Jiang Ling’s neck was forced backward by the burning yellow talisman.

”Cough, cough, cough—”

Having escaped, Jiang Ling quickly sat up; she bent over and coughed violently, her eyes watering from the choking.

She kept stroking her fair neck, struggling to take deep breaths, allowing her pale complexion to quickly recover some color.

Gulp!

Ning Ke’er looked at the two female ghosts in front of her, their feet off the ground and floating in the air, and swallowed a mouthful of saliva in terror.

She looked at Jiang Ling and said in fear, ”Didn’t you say you were the only successor of the Celestial Master Sect? How did you almost get choked to death by a female ghost? Are you really a Jianghu fraud?”

Jiang Ling shook her head vigorously and retorted, ”I am not!”

This… this is illogical!

Ordinary Ghostly creatures would invade dreams and let the victim first breed fear!

She had already placed a Talismanic Incantation on Ning Ke’er in advance, specifically to prevent Ghostly creatures from invading Ning Ke’er’s dream.

She deliberately didn’t use any protective measures on herself, just to lure the Ghostly creatures into her dream.

In the dream, she could also Seal the Ghostly creatures.

But who would have thought that the Ghostly creatures inside this villa wouldn’t play by the rules!

It was one thing not to enter her dream, but it actually transformed into a ghost body directly and attacked on the spot.

Moreover, this red-clad ghostly creature had astonishing strength; even when she was choked, she couldn’t resist.

Her hands felt as if they were bound by the hanging rope of the red-clad ghostly creature in front of her, unable to move at all!

If she hadn’t placed a yellow talisman on Ning Ke’er in advance, she really would have almost fallen into their trap!

Ning Ke’er said, both shocked and afraid, ”If you aren’t a fraud, how did you almost get choked to death by a female ghost?”

”I was deliberately luring them to appear.”

”But just now, if I hadn’t used the yellow talisman to hit them, you would have been choked to death.”

”I…”

”You almost got choked to death.”

Jiang Ling shot up, raised her hand to pat the cleavage on her chest, and took out a yellow talisman sword.

Whoosh!

She shot out the talisman sword with ease.

Bang—

The talisman sword grazed past the female ghost’s long hair and slammed into the wall, blasting out a small pit.

The two female ghosts exchanged glances with their all-black pupils, and both abruptly drilled out of the room.

Ning Ke’er looked at Jiang Ling gloomily; this time, she didn’t say anything else.

But Jiang Ling read Ning Ke’er’s distrust from her gaze!

”Ahhhh!!!”

Jiang Ling roared in grief and indignation.

Being looked down upon in her professional field, Jiang Ling was so angry she felt ashamed.

She wanted revenge!

She wanted to vindicate herself and the Celestial Master Sect!!!

She quickly put on her yellow Daoist robe, put on her Daoist crown, kicked open the door with a fierce kick, and shouted angrily, ”Ghostly creatures, I’ll fight you to the death! Tonight, none of you will be able to escape!”

Meanwhile, in the master bedroom next door, Mu Xinyi’s high-pitched wail also sounded, ”Ahhhh! Keer, Keer!!”

”Keer, save me!!!”

”Ding! Daughter of Destiny Mu Xinyi has lost emotional control and made an Ahegao face; rewarding the Host with 666 villain points!”
