Who Made Him an Antagonist

68: Chapter 68 Bai Jing’s sunk costs are increasing again. The next day, in the office of the Chairman of Company Name.

Qin Ge held the paternity test report sent from Kyoto, glanced at it indifferently, and tossed it aside.

He raised his eyes, waved his hand at Qiao Yingzi, and said, ”Pass this report to Qin Hai in a couple of days.”

Liu Mei’s earlier abnormality had not only aroused Qin Huanhuan’s suspicion.

Even that cheap old man of his had fallen into a whirlpool of doubt once again.

For this report, his grandfather hadn’t tampered with anything.

Qin Hai naturally obtained the real result.

However, he had been working around the clock these past two days, busy to the point of being dizzy.

He didn’t have time to revisit the Qin Family for the moment.

It wouldn’t be too late to wait two days before looking into it.

Qiao Yingzi nodded and said, ”I’ll go contact the agency now and delay Qin Hai a bit longer.”

Watching Qiao Yingzi’s tall, long legs walk away, Qin Ge casually reminded her, ”Have Bai Jing come to my office!”

Two minutes later, the office door was knocked on.

Bai Jing, dressed in a black hip-hugging dress with her legs wrapped in thick black stockings, walked in with a sheepish smile on her pretty face.

She looked at Qin Ge with slight awkwardness and said with an unnatural smile, ”General Manager Qin, did you look for me?”

Leaning back in his leather chair, Qin Ge scrutinized the Bai Jing before him.

The skin-tight hip-hugging dress accentuated her proud figure to the fullest.

It made one unable to help but let their gaze linger on her chest.

Perhaps Bai Jing’s taste in clothing was too good, or perhaps she had the intention of deliberately seducing him.

This slim-fit hip-hugging dress, when worn by Bai Jing, had a fatal attraction for men.

Her curves appeared even more exquisite.

He tilted his head, looked at Bai Jing who dared not meet his eyes, and asked with a smile, ”Are you free today?”

Gulp!

Bai Jing’s slender neck moved slightly as she swallowed, and she said honestly, ”General Manager Qin, I have an important meeting to attend in a moment. After the meeting, I still need to follow up on the latest business progress in the business district. In terms of time, I’m afraid I don’t have any.”

Her heart skipped a beat, and she became nervous all over.

That set of high-end recording equipment had been sent back to Shanghai for repairs, and the newly developed anti-virus version had not yet arrived.

If she were taken advantage of by Qin Ge now, it would be a pure loss.

She wouldn’t get any benefits at all.

Even if she told Jiang Yingxue, Jiang Yingxue would absolutely not believe it.

She wasn’t stupid.

No matter what, she could not possibly agree to Qin Ge’s rude demands again.

”I think you can be free.” Qin Ge said with a smile on his lips, understandingly, ”As for the meeting, I have decided to postpone it until tomorrow. As for the business progress in the business district, I have already asked Zhou Mei to handle the follow-up just now.”

Making excuses to shirk?

Please!

Company Name was just a hobby for him.

Whether to hold a meeting or not, wasn’t that his decision alone?

By making excuses involving his company’s business, Bai Jing had walked right into the trap.

Qin Ge tapped his fingers rhythmically on the desk, scrutinizing Bai Jing’s exceptionally curvaceous figure with great interest, and asked with a smile, ”I heard that you were absent from work for several hours yesterday without reason, and even Zhou Mei couldn’t find you?”

It was all the virus’s fault; otherwise, she would have already exposed Qin Ge’s true colors, and there would be no need to continue lurking by Qin Ge’s side so cautiously...

Bai Jing clenched her small fists behind her back in hatred.

It was all because she started celebrating too early.

Otherwise, she wouldn’t have let Qin Ge catch her in the act.

She pouted, her pretty face full of grievance, and muttered, ”General Manager Qin, I had some private matters to attend to yesterday that required urgent handling, which is why I left the company. I can make up for those hours of absence by working overtime.”

Qin Ge tilted his head and said playfully, ”So according to you, other employees can also freely choose their working hours anytime, anywhere, and just make up for it when they have time?”

He stared at Bai Jing and said in a dissatisfied, deep voice, ”Making excuses, your flowery language alone won’t make them work!”

”The position of secretary of the board is unusual.”

”What’s the use of eloquence? Only being useful is useful!”

Gulp!

Bai Jing swallowed again in terror, her beautiful eyes looking at Qin Ge filled with fear.

As a king of internet slang and a master of surfing the web.

What internet slang did she not understand?

Bai Jing, knowing exactly what he meant, didn’t continue that topic, but instead cast a flirtatious glance at Qin Ge and muttered seductively, ”General Manager Qin, don’t be so impatient. When I have time, I definitely won’t let you down.”

Hilarious.

Qin Ge leaned back in his chair, eyeing Bai Jing with a lewd gaze, and said amusedly, ”It’s common for bosses to give empty promises to employees, but this is the first time I’ve encountered an employee giving empty promises to the boss.”

He waved his hand without forcing her and said, ”If you don’t want to, then get out.”

Bai Jing was overjoyed.

If she had to leave, then she would leave; she was wishing for it!

Don’t look at Qin Ge today; he seemed to have lost interest in her.

Once the equipment arrived, she would dress up more beautifully.

Qin Ge would surely reach out his An Lushan’s claws towards her again.

”Go to the finance department to do a handover. You’ll get paid for the days you worked, and you can resign!”

”Ah?”

Bai Jing turned around quickly, her chest trembling, and said in astonishment, ”General Manager Qin, you want to fire me?”

Qin Ge sneered, ”The position of secretary of the board requires the most talent. It needs to take care of every aspect and requires comprehensive consideration. A secretary of the board who can’t do the job, should I keep you around to be an eyesore?”

”I...”

Bai Jing was stunned.

She also hadn’t expected Qin Ge’s temper to be so volatile.

Just because she refused once, he wanted to fire her on the spot?

If she left Company Name, how would she get close to Qin Ge, and how would she expose Qin Ge’s true colors to make Jiang Yingxue wake up?

If it were before, being fired would have been fine.

At worst, she would just stop caring about this whole thing.

But now, she had put in the effort, and she had been taken advantage of.

She had already made the investment; if she didn’t accomplish anything,

wouldn’t that be a total loss?

But just thinking about the demands Qin Ge made, Bai Jing shook her head violently, looked at Qin Ge with a bitter face, and said sadly, ”General Manager Qin, I spent a lot of effort to get this position. Can you give me some time to prepare mentally?”

Qin Ge pondered for a long time, sighed, and said, ”As the saying goes, a gentleman uses his words, not his hands.”

He looked at the curvaceous and graceful Bai Jing in front of him, shook his head, and said, ”However, you are not a gentleman; you are a girl.”

Bai Jing lowered her head, biting her lip tightly.

She looked at Qin Ge in front of her, cursing his ancestors for eighteen generations in her heart.

However, she had already invested the costs, so how could she be willing to walk away now without any income?

”Ding! Daughter of Destiny Bai Jing has developed feelings of shame and anger towards the Host, rewarding the Host with +2000 villain points!”
