Help! The Villainess Trapped in the Beast World's Drama!

Chapter 956: Chapter 724: Taking Care (2)

The space in the room wasn’t large, and as he entered, the whole room seemed cramped.

Shen Tang’s heart instinctively skipped a beat.

She slightly raised her head, wanting to see his face clearly, only to find that the man was wearing a mask.

Shen Tang was stunned for a moment, why was he still covering his face?

Wait, that’s not the main point.

The crucial thing is—

Who is he?

Why is he here?!

How did she end up with him?!

Shen Tang felt the man’s figure was somewhat familiar, but she couldn’t match him with anyone in her memory, plus his aura was very unfamiliar. She was sure she had never seen or known this person.

The man saw that she was awake, and he didn’t seem surprised nor did he speak, just poured a cup of warm water and handed it over.

These days, even a three-year-old knows you can’t just eat things from strangers!

Shen Tang didn’t know who he was and instinctively became alert, turning her head away, not wanting to drink the water.

But she was indeed very thirsty, not knowing how long she had been unconscious, her throat so dry it felt like it was on fire.

Although she wasn’t clear about the current situation, she didn’t feel any malice from this man.

Besides, if he really wanted to harm her, he would have done so while she was unconscious; there was no need for unnecessary actions.

Shen Tang struggled for a moment but couldn’t resist her instincts, took the cup of water, and murmured, ”...thank you.”

As she spoke, even she was startled, her voice was incredibly hoarse and weak.

When she took the cup, her hand trembled slightly, almost spilling the water.

The man quickly grasped her hand, supporting the cup to her lips.

The moment their palms touched, the sensation was exceptionally clear, causing Shen Tang’s body to tense slightly, feeling a bit uneasy.

The man’s palm was broad and slender, warm and dry, with callouses lightly rubbing against her palm, tickling her.

She couldn’t help but shrink back and retreated a bit.

”It’s okay, I can drink it myself,” she quickly said.

The man didn’t insist, handing the cup back to her.

Shen Tang forced her weak limbs to hold the cup, sipping slowly until it was finished.

She hadn’t drunk water for so long that even plain water tasted exceptionally sweet, instantly soothing her throat.

She thanked him again, though her voice was still hoarse, it was better than before.

The man simply nodded in silence, took the empty cup, and turned to leave.

Shen Tang didn’t pay attention to what he was doing, only realizing that she couldn’t even make a fist with her weak hands and had no strength at all, probably couldn’t even get off the bed to walk.

Moreover, her body hurt.

She looked down at her arm, which had many bruises and marks, left from fighting.

Damn, her superpower was sealed, she couldn’t use her healing ability, not even to heal these minor wounds.

At this moment, it felt as if she was back when she first came to Eris Star, devoid of any superpower, having nothing.

Ah, she’d been arrogant for so long that she forgot she was just flesh and blood.

Without the boost of superpower, she was truly vulnerable.

She wondered when her superpower would recover.

Shen Tang lay back down, staring at the blue-gray stone ceiling, realizing it was too quiet in the room, only then did she realize the man had left.

She waited a long time, but he didn’t return.

She even suspected that he was just a passing stranger who helped her casually and had already left, never to return?

Unexpectedly, after a while, he came back.

However, he had gone out empty-handed and returned fully loaded, bringing back many ingredients, including fresh vegetables and beast meat.

This beast meat was not from a mutant beast, but purified and clean, edible meat that looked very delicious.

Shen Tang was somewhat surprised.

They should be in the Wasteland Zone now, where it’s hard to get such clean meat, which is only available in the Purification Zone; she wondered how he managed to get it.

But it was someone else’s business, so she didn’t ask further.

The man skillfully handled the ingredients outside the stone house.

He deftly cut large chunks of beast meat into bite-sized pieces, then somehow got firewood, set up a wooden rack, and started grilling meat and boiling meat soup.

Soon, the aroma of the meat wafted inside from the door.

Shen Tang, smelling the fragrance, couldn’t help swallowing.

She was hungry too, having been in a coma for so long without eating, her stomach was already growling.

She wanted to take some jerky from her Space to eat, but found out her food was already gone.

Smelling the increasingly rich aroma of the meal, Shen Tang swallowed again but was well aware that food here was a very precious resource, and a stranger who just happened to cross paths with her had no reason to share food with her.

She could only look away, pretending not to notice.

Unexpectedly, after a while, the man finished cooking and directly brought in a big plate of grilled meat and a bowl of meat soup garnished with green vegetables.
