As usual, Xia Ling recorded songs and rushed to complete her jobs.

Until one day, Li Lei suddenly placed 75 billion in front of her.

She looked at bank card in shock for a long time and mumbled. “Quickly come over and pinch me so I know that I’m not dreaming.”

Li Lei laughed. “Litte Pig. All of it is yours.”

Xia Ling was still in a daze. Her brain was half dead for the longest time. She touched the card and mumbled. “How was the Nangong family willing to give you so much money? Are they bankrupt?”

“Yes. They’re bankrupt.” Li Lei said in a relaxed manner. In fact, causing the bankruptcy of any family who dared to assassinate Xiao Ling was letting them off easy. However, a family like the Nangong family that was involved in the black market and had countless enemies, bankruptcy was no different than death. Very quickly, many enemies would start looking for them. After that, many bodies of the Nangong family would sink to the bottom of the ocean, never to be recovered again…

Li Lei didn’t have any emotional burden regarding this outcome. He only felt that he defeated an enemy.

He smiled happily at Xia Ling. “The assets of the Nangong family are complex. Poppy fields, casinos, brothels, drugs… I’m afraid that you can’t manage them, so I asked people to dispose of them. After the money is cleaned, I will deposit it in banks of several countries. You can use the money to buy property. If you don’t know what to do with it, I can also find a financial consultant for you.”

Xia Ling initially didn’t think so much about it. However, thinking about it, 75 billion yuan was probably the amount she would get after selling all of the Nangong family’s assets. They had so many businesses that she could not manage them herself.

Li Lei was really thoughtfully.

She started pondering about what she should do with the money.

Li Lei gave her some ideas. “Invest in some fields or real estate… You can buy some shares of high-quality companies. Technological companies are a good choice…”

He rambled on.

On the other hand, Xia Ling said, “What about doing charity?”

“What?” Li Lei was shocked.

“I was talking about doing charity.” An idea slowly formed in Xia Ling’s heart. “What’s the use of so much money? At most, I’ll buy a pile of clothes, a few bags, and book a couple of resorts and villas every year. How many hundreds of million will that be? I also don’t know how to manage the remaining hundreds of millions. Even if I have a financial consultant, I would be wasting my energy. I’d rather donate the money to charity.”

Li Lei already knew that his woman was indifferent to wealth, but he didn’t expect her to be so unmoved. He was taken aback for a few seconds before asking, “Why did you suddenly think of this?”

“I always wanted to do this.” Xia Ling said and smiled. “It’s probably because of a dream I had when I was younger. You know, I grew up in an orphanage. My sister had a serious heart disease and, because we had no money, she was always on the verge of life and death… That was also why I was willing to follow Pei Ziheng home.”

She felt a little dejected talking about the past.

If she didn’t have financial constraints, would everything be different?

She looked up at Li Lei and said, “I don’t want the orphans to suffer the same pain as me and experience a loved one battle a disease every day… How about we set up a charity fund for them? I want them to live a healthy and dignified life.”

Li Lei looked at her gently. “It’s your money, so you can decide. If you decide to create a charity fund, I will certainly support you. However, Xiao Ling, you can’t create this fund in your name. You must remain behind the scenes.”

“Why?” Xia Ling immediately asked. However, after a moment, she understood. “Yes, it can’t be done under my name. If the public asks me where I got the money, I won’t be able to explain it.” She was a public figure. Although her income was high, it was not an outrageous amount like billions of yuan. If it was too suspicious, people would start to investigate, and if the origin of the money was exposed, the consequences would not be good.

Li Lei said, “I will look for someone to operate the fund for you. You can also ask The Preceptor for help.” He was very proud now. At the start, The Preceptor only asked him to recover 30 billion and emotional damages, but in the end, he managed to recover 75 billion for Xiao Ling. No, including Nangong Qingya’s 5 billion yuan, he recovered a total of 80 billion. Such a huge amount of wealth could make someone rise to the peak of high society.

When her brother was mentioned, Xia Ling smiled with ease. She imagined her brother’s reaction if he found out that her beloved was so amazing. Would he be shocked or happy?

“I don’t think I will trouble my brother with the charity fund. He said that I was destined to be alone and reduce contact with my family.” Xia Ling said to Li Lei, “I don’t know much about these things, so how about you help me?”

“You are ok with entrusting me with 75 billion dollars of your wealth?” Li Lei smiled.

“80 million.” Xia Ling corrected him and smiled. “Why would I not be ok with it?” He was her man and they were going to spend the rest of their lives together. If she couldn’t even trust him with her money, how could they last?

Li Lei lowered his head and lightly kissed her.

This was Xiao Ling, his life’s rare treasure.

There were millions of girls in this world. Perhaps she was not the prettiest, was not the smartest, had an arrogant personality, and frequently ran into trouble… However, in her eyes, 80 billion was not as important as him. This sort of trust and love…

Was special and irreplaceable.

Grandpa, do you know that in your eyes, there may be better granddaughters-in-law, but in my heart, Xiao Ling will be the only one for me?

Li Lei looked at Xia Ling’s white face. “Ok, I will take care of it for you.”

Xia Ling smiled. “Ok.”

Soon, the charity foundation was established in the name of Skyart Entertainment. Xia Ling became an ambassador and spokesperson for the foundation. This way, she was able to participate in its charitable activities.

Many people started discussing it.

Some people praised her. They said that not only was the Little Diva Ye Xingling able to sing well, but she also had a pure heart. She was so popular yet she cared about the sick orphans. She was truly an angel.

However, some people criticized her for putting on a show.

The eldest daughter of the Gu Financial Magnate, Gu Lin, smashed her cup after reading the news. “Ye Xingling, that b*tch! What’s so good about her? Why is she always there? It’s obviously Skyart Entertainment’s money, Brother Lei’s money, but she gets all the limelight! Is being a celebrity so impressive? She’s only taking advantage of Brother Lei! Disgusting!”

“Linlin, what’s wrong?” Father Gu said as he walked into Gu Lin’s room.

“Dad, it’s unfair!” Gu Lin pointed at the news in the magazine and stamped her foot. “Look, that b*tch is cutting the ribbon with Brother Lei! What does Brother Lei’s charity fund have to do with her?!”

Father Gu heard about this news a long time ago.

This time, he smiled bitterly and advised his precious daughter. “Linlin, you probably don’t know about the origin of this money. The news about it was spread in the circle.”
