“Who am I?” Luo Luo straightened her chest with some arrogance. “I’m the jack of all trades that everyone knows.”

“Sure, you’re the jack of all trades.” Xia Ling smiled as she rubbed her forehead. “What do you want to eat for dinner? I’m hungry.”

“Boss Li brought over a lunch box.” As she spoke, Luo Luo hopped off the bed and went to the kitchen to look for the lunch box that Li Lei left behind. “Before he left, he especially instructed me to ensure that you ate well. He even left his phone number, saying that if anything bad happens, I could call him for help.”

Xia Ling followed Luo Luo into the kitchen.

When she opened the lunch box, she realized that there was high-quality glutinous rice in it. The sparkling white rice exuded a fragrant smell. There were Longjing shrimps, steamed fish, spinach and mushroom soup, all of which were freshly made; just looking at it made one hungry.

Xia Ling recognized Li Lei’s cooking immediately. She did not expect that he would still remember what she loved to eat after she moved and would even bring a lunch box over. For a moment, she felt a warm feeling inside.

“Boss treats you so well.” Luo Luo looked at the superb collection of side dishes and said. “He said he made it himself and even asked me what I liked to eat so that he would cook that for me in the future… Hmm, I think he was just trying to bribe me so I would treat you a little better.” Before her debut, she used to live in the training dormitory with the other trainees whom she got along with. She was very experienced and easily saw through the small tricks of men who were chasing women and wanting to save the day.

She turned to Xia Ling and asked, “Xiao Ling, have you two really broken up?”

“Yes.” Xia Ling nodded her head and carried the food to the table like a professional. After that, she signaled for Luo Luo to eat with her.

Luo Luo took a pair of chopsticks and sat down. “That’s not right. According to the news, he dumped you because he looked down on you, chased you out of the house, and caused you to be in a difficult position… Xiao Ling, I don’t mean anything else, but I just think if the reports are right, why would Boss show so much concern now? Are there any hidden facts I don’t know about?”

“What hidden facts can there be? I was chased out.” Xia Ling used her chopsticks to get a piece of steamed fish. “Shut up and eat.”

“How is that possible?! Xiao Ling, you are so pretty, your personality is good, and your singing is exceptional. Who would dare to chase you out?! Wow, this steamed fish is delicious! His cooking is great! This is the first time I’ve eaten such delicious steamed fish!” Luo Luo’s eyes sparkled, and she ate all of the steamed fish on her plate. “I want more!”

Xia Ling took more steamed fish for her.

The little girl was easily distracted. Once she saw the delicious food, she completely forgot all the questions she was going to ask Xia Ling. As she ate, she exclaimed incoherently. “Xiao Ling, you better not fall out with your Boss! His cooking is too delicious! Let him send over a lunch box every day! What do you think?!”

Xia Ling did not know whether to laugh or cry. Her new roommate was too easily won over.

Yet…

Probably only someone like Luo Luo would say that her personality was good. Even Xia Ling knew herself that her personality was definitely the opposite of “good.” She had offended numerous people, and many people in the entertainment industry would love to see her fail. Only someone as innocent as Luo Luo would be willing to be her friend without bearing any grudges. Besides Sister Mai Na and Wei Wei who treated her well because of their own interests, Luo Luo was her first female friend in both of her lifetimes.

Xia Ling smiled slightly. She was determined to treat Luo Luo even better in the future.

What she meant by treating someone well was that she would think of that person in every situation. In her past life, she escaped the orphanage with Xia Yu and found someone with sufficient money to treat her sickness. When it came to Pei Ziheng, she was worried about him even when they were just shopping. They already had piles of clothes at home, but every time there was a snowstorm and she was buying clothes for herself, she could not help but buy a few sets for him as well. However, when it came to Luo Luo, things were a little difficult…

Because Luo Luo was a singer.

Xia Ling thought that the best way to help a singer was naturally to teach her how to sing and help her advance in her career. She created a strict training schedule for Luo Luo which lasted from morning till dusk. She required Luo Luo to follow the schedule without cutting corners. Luo Luo had to practice singing, her posture, and even her signature.

Luo Luo almost wanted to cry.

At the start, she was willing to accept Xiao Ling’s offer when Xia Ling suggested that she would teach her how to sing and dance, but she did not think that Xiao Ling would be so demanding!

It was even worse than the hellish training in the training camp.

Every day, Luo Luo held back her tears and practiced until she was half dead. Sure enough, her improvement was shocking. Under Xia Ling’s guidance, she improved very fast, and soon, she became a better celebrity. No matter where she went, she was more dazzling, had a better celebrity aura, and developed a natural radiance.

She even stole Xia Yu’s limelight a few times.

Xia Yu was very jealous of her and secretly tried to make life difficult for Luo Luo. Luo Luo suffered but was unable to speak about it. She thought about telling her difficulties to Xia Ling but just could not open her mouth when the time came. She could only blame herself from having bad luck and quietly dealt with it on her own.

Xia Ling saw that something was wrong with her but thought that she was tired because of the special training and did not take it to heart.

Luo Luo asked her, “Xiao Ling, what do you plan to do in the future?”

“Me?” Xia Ling thought about it. “I have just suggested ending my contract with Skyart Entertainment, and there are still a few jobs left for me to do. I will make a decision after I finish my jobs.” Yesterday, she went to the Skyart Entertainment headquarters and had a long talk with Sister Mai Na. Sister Mai Na also knew that the tumultuous relationship she had with Li Lei was not only due to work issues and could not think of a way to make her stay. As such, she respected her decision.

After she finished her last few jobs at Skyart Entertainment, she would be completely free.

However, regarding Ah Wei…

Xia Ling had mixed feelings. Yesterday night, she wrote a long letter to Ah Wei about the changes in her work life. However, since Ah Wei had the temper of a dragon, she did not dare to face him in person and did not know what sort of reaction he would have after reading the letter.

Until now, he still had not contacted her, so it seemed like the calm before the storm.

Xia Ling was seriously considering whether she should hide at Feng Kun’s place for a few days, but she felt that if she really did that, Ah Wei would definitely boil with anger and might even destroy Feng Kun’s house…

She made the decision to face the music. Besides, she thought. In the worst case scenario, Ah Wei will just give me a scolding.

It was challenging as it combined water ballet and other various dances.

The more difficult part was the fact that the pool was sloping and slippery. One would easily fall down if he were not careful enough.
