Gene Unlocking: I Evolve Every Day

She saw Liu Kexin still appeared somewhat puzzled and gave an example: ”You can think of this realm as a completely still water bath we are immersed in, and it has the same properties throughout the universe. This means we observe the same mass and interactions across the cosmos. This consistency allows us to observe and describe the same physical phenomena over thousands of years, but the Higgs field is unlikely to be in its lowest energy state possible. This means, theoretically, it can change its state, dropping to a lower energy state at some location; however, if this happens, it will radically alter the laws of physics.”

Liu Kexin asked, ”For example?”

Shen Xia pondered and said, ”For example, such a change would represent what physicists call a phase transition, which is what happens when water turns into steam, bubbles are formed in the process. The phase transition of the Higgs field would similarly generate low-energy space bubbles, where the physical properties are completely different.”

Liu Kexin suddenly understood, ”The bubbles you and Lu Li were talking about earlier, are they the low-energy space bubbles generated by the Higgs field?”

Lu Li chimed in, ”Yes, they’re low-energy space bubbles.”

Liu Kexin, not very familiar with physics, inquired, ”If such low-energy space bubbles are generated, what happens?”

Lu Li gave Shen Xia a look.

Shen Xia said, ”In such a bubble, the mass of electrons would suddenly change, and their interactions with other particles would change suddenly as well. Protons and neutrons—which form atomic nuclei and are composed of quarks—would suddenly become misaligned. Essentially, anything experiencing this change might no longer be able to report it. Simply put, any matter within the bubble would be instantly decomposed into atomic form without any awareness, and once this bubble is formed, it would expand at a speed unimaginable to any intelligent beings, engulfing and destroying the entire universe.”

At this point, she paused, looking at Lu Li with an eye full of astonishment, ”From a statistical standpoint, forming such a bubble is possible, but from a physical analysis, it’s completely impossible, because according to quantum mechanics, the energy of the Higgs particles always fluctuates, so I used to believe that low-energy Higgs field bubbles existed only in theory and could never be realized. Even the strongest race in the universe, the Martial Hero Race, possessing fourth-level civilization technology, couldn’t create such a bubble, yet Lu Li actually can...”

She stopped at this point, but anyone could hear that she implied Lu Li performed a miracle.

There was one more thing she didn’t say, which was if indeed there was a Higgs field that formed a low-energy space bubble capable of destroying the Small Magellanic Cloud, then this low-energy space bubble could also destroy the cosmos. She was very curious to know how Lu Li managed to create such a low-energy space bubble and how he managed to confine its destruction only to the Small Magellanic Cloud without it expanding elsewhere.

Liu Kexin didn’t know about these intricacies, but she could hear the amazement in Shen Xia’s last words.

She couldn’t help but remark, ”I’d really like to see such a bubble, I wonder what it looks like?”

Shen Xia sighed, ”Perhaps it won’t be long before we and the entire Milky Way Galaxy will witness the exact appearance of such a bubble.”

”You only got it half right,” Lu Li said calmly, ”Indeed, Earth civilization and the Milky Way Galaxy will see the exact appearance of the bubble in a few hours. However, it’s not just Earth and the Milky Way Galaxy, but the entire Virgo Supercluster will witness it!”
