I Can Gain One Skill Point Per Second

Chapter 325: Chapter 325: Refugee Relocation, The Trolley Problem!

Lan Ruoxi’s last words had Wu Fang’s face twitching.

She was at a loss for words.

Lan Ruoxi’s reasoning was something she could understand as well.

But right now, overwhelmed with anger, she chose not to understand!

Nor did she want to acknowledge Lin Yi’s excellence!

”Don’t get too smug... ”

”I still believe that blindly pursuing power will only lead to self-destruction.”

”The second challenge won’t be as easy!”

In the assessment area.

With Lin Yi having turned seven or eight waves, dozens of Level 8 Combat Puppets into scrap metal, nothing posed a challenge anymore.

Lin Yi only needed to quietly wait for the 10-minute countdown to end.

”He even yawned!”

”My god, is this assessment really that easy for him?”

”No kidding, when all threats are neutralized, he just needs to stand by; you’d feel bored too.”

Unfortunately, this boring time couldn’t be skipped.

After waiting another five or six minutes.

Lin Yi received a prompt from the environment.

”First challenge completed!”

”All 10/10 target personnel survived, having sustained no damage!”

”Rating: Flawless!”

”You have 30 seconds of rest; the rules for the second challenge will now be announced!”

The scene before Lin Yi changed once again.

Rumble...

Tatatat!

This was a brutal battlefield.

Ruins and corpses were visible everywhere.

As artillery fire remained unceasing, the machine guns continued to strafe.

The smell of blood mixed with smoke made Lin Yi really feel like he’d arrived on a battlefield.

”Help!”

”Save me...!”

”My leg!”

”I can’t see!”

”Doctor!”

The next moment, another 30 ”protection targets” appeared around Lin Yi.

But this time, they weren’t an expert team.

Instead, they were injured war refugees!

Missing limbs, excessive bleeding, almost unable to take care of themselves.

At a glance, Lin Yi saw these targets; besides the disabled who couldn’t move easily.

Some even had untreated wounds.

If left untreated, these targets would bleed out and die where they lay.

[Please protect everyone and evacuate to the escape airship!]

[Current number alive: 30/30]

[Current distance to escape airship: 2 kilometers]

[With each casualty, the rating drops; with 3, 5, or 8 casualties, it drops further. More than 10 casualties mean failure!]

Undoubtedly, the second challenge was much harder than the first.

The 30-second preparation time passed quickly.

Lin Yi didn’t hesitate, first using Holy Light Protection, once again enveloping everyone around him.

Sure enough, the next moment, the fierce artillery and bullets poured down like a storm.

With the Shield of Holy Light, everyone under its protection wasn’t hit by these attacks.

Lin Yi’s heart sank.

The method used in the previous round couldn’t be applied in this one.

Because in the previous round, he had targets.

The Combat Puppets were the targets to attack; eliminating them was enough.

But in this round, the harm to his protection targets came from untraceable strafing and artillery.

This meant he couldn’t protect his people by destroying enemies anymore.

While contemplating, Lin Yi noticed some refugees beginning to lose their sanity; even while protected by the light shield, looking at the shelter a kilometer away, they wanted to run out of the light shield’s protection and rush toward the distant escape airship.

At the same time, some seriously injured were bleeding out, clearly nearing their end.

If they weren’t healed immediately, they would indeed die.

Lin Yi’s mind raced; the next moment, a golden rain of Holy Light began to fall within the entire Holy Light Protection range.

This was a Tier Four light-based skill, Rain of Light.

All elemental Tier Four skills are the first large-scale AOE skill.

The light element is no exception.

Moreover, the light element’s most noticeable trait is its dual capacity for offense and healing.

While its damage couldn’t compare to other elements, its healing power was life-saving at this moment.

Lin Yi’s attributes were remarkable.

When using a low-tiered light-based magic.

The next moment, all wounded touched by the Rain of Light began healing miraculously.

Bleeding wounds instantly staunched and healed at a visible rate.

Those suffering from injury and pain were quickly relieved, with their dispirited spirits soon restored.

Lin Yi breathed a sigh of relief.

At least these wounded wouldn’t die on their own now.

The current challenge was to transfer over thirty wounded to the escape airship.

After some thought, Lin Yi stopped those frantically trying to flee the light shield coverage.

”If you don’t want to die, don’t run!”

”I will take you all onto the escape airship, ensuring none of you will die or even get hurt!”

Perhaps the magical effect of Lin Yi’s previous light-based magic had a psychological impact.

The panicked and frantic refugees were temporarily calmed.

Lin Yi looked toward the distant escape airship.

Build a Shield of Holy Light that covers the entire retreat route?

Not feasible.

The cooldown time isn’t enough.

Moments later, Lin Yi made a decision.

The gravitational field expanded, and the next moment, Lin Yi lifted the Shield of Holy Light.

A rain of bullets rained down from the sky!

Simultaneously, several rockets, trailing bright fiery tails, were about to hit down!

This sight drew countless screams.

But the next moment, they were stunned to find.

They were already in another area!

The escape airship that had been two kilometers away was now right before them!

Even the airship door was open now!

Curved Pathway Teleportation!

This was Lin Yi’s solution.

The simplest and boldest.

But this time, because of the collective transfer of 30 people, it was Lin Yi’s first time using this skill to move others besides himself.

So it took some time to explore.

Fortunately, it succeeded.

In a blink, he transferred all thirty refugees directly to the escape airship’s entrance.

Now they just needed to get inside!

However, at the next moment, Lin Yi suddenly heard a scream.

”Ah—!”

”Help!”

Following the sound, Lin Yi’s pupils shrank sharply!

He saw one of the heavily scarred wounded holding a dagger.

His left hand was also embracing another injured woman.

The dagger was pressed against the woman’s neck, the tip already pierced into the flesh.

The woman’s face was ashen to an extreme degree; after that scream, she didn’t dare make a sound.

That man’s face was frantic and crazed.

He held the woman hostage, yelling, ”There are too many of us!”

”This airship can only hold 30 people, not a single more!”

”She’s going to die anyway; I kill her to save us all!”

”This is best for all of us!”

[Trial paused, please make your choice!]

Lin Yi was stunned.

Damn it!

What kind of melodramatic plot is this!

So in the end, this assessment pulls a trolley problem, huh??
