Rebirth of the Godly Prodigal

A father asking his son to be a lackey, he was probably the first in history.

But it was really not easy to become Hong Dali’s lackey…

“Okay. I understand, Father.” Although he was asked to become a lackey, Deca didn’t have strong objections about it. Not everyone had the ability to stay beside an all-elemental magician. In the virtual network in the universe, all magicians were proud and had an entourage with them. Needless to say an all-elemental magician. That was a genius that only appeared out of tens of thousands of planets. It was not an exaggeration.

“Hmm, as for the others, remember, after we enter the space around Earth, the mothership will be hidden in the universe. The others shall follow me to visit Earth first.” Graham instructed. “This time, we are making a friendly visit. It is very unfriendly to park the mothership in space. We need to avoid this from happening. It would be bad to cause a misunderstanding.”

“Yes! We understand, Captain!” Everyone responded loud and clear.

“Deca,” Graham arranged for Deca. “You will take the second cosmic shuttle ship on our mothership to Earth. With our current distance from Earth, at the full speed of the second cosmic shuttle, 60,000 kilometers per second, you should reach Earth after two days and four hours. After that, be sure to contact Hong Dali as soon as possible.”

“Yes, Father. No problem!” Deca nodded and turned to leave. “I’ll set off now.”

“Go on, my child.” Graham nodded lightly. “Remember your new identity. Work hard on becoming Hong Dali’s follower.”

…

This time, the virtual universe trip came to an end. Both parties fought it out in a secret exchange, the winds and clouds were changing and the tides were turbulent. Some things were, of course, not known to others. For example, Merika…

Merika, Ministry of National Defense.

Ministry of National Defense, Chief Salon held a secret meeting with the Minister of Defense, Itra, and others. Even the Merika President personally participated.

Their target was not an ordinary person. It was the most mysterious person in Heavenly State, Hong Dali!

“Mr. President, all information on Hong Dali is here.” Chief Salon placed a document with all their findings on Hong Dali on the table in front of the President. He whispered, “If we don’t get rid of him, Merika’s status on the global scale is sure to be greatly affected.”

As an international police, Merika had always maintained peace on Earth.

But, with Hong Dali’s existence, it was likely they’d lose their position as international police.

“Hearing how you made Hong Dali sound so miraculous, is he really so powerful?” The President was reluctant to pick up the information. Before he came, he listened to the two of them boast about how powerful Hong Dali was almost every day. But he didn’t think so.

To what extent could a person be so powerful? Could he challenge the entire Merika just by himself? What kind of joke was this? At most, he could be an ordinary person with slightly better luck, not a superman…

But when the President looked at the documents, he didn’t feel good. “A novel website bought for two million, the profit became nearly four billion this year?! Toyoda Conglomerate was on the brink of collapse, the company president Tarō Gohon was killed? Jaban State’s economy has gone back by ten years?! A mechanical armor that can blow up an entire warship? A protective super shield that can distort missile trajectory? God, is this true?”

“Absolutely true, Mr. President.” Salon’s voice sounded grave. “The prodigal Hong Dali’s luck is really unimaginable. If he continues what he’s doing, it’s hard to predict what impact it would have on Merika in the future. Our status in the world would likely be threatened. Heavenly State will then become the dominant of the world—that is definitely not an exaggeration.”

Salon was really afraid of Hong Dali.

If Hong Dali was just good at making money, it was okay. The point was, he was actually involved in military arms as well! What was especially important was, there was no good end in going against this person. The natural political position of Merika and Heavenly State was hostile. As long as Hong Dali existed, Merika would not be able to sleep well.

“Well, what you said makes sense. We have to guard ourselves, indeed.” The President was afraid as well. There was no way the information given by Salon was fake. Hong Dali was too scary. If they allowed him to continue what he was doing, Heavenly State’s military would advance at a terrifying speed. Merika would then be overwhelmed by their pressure—how could Merika, whose words always had weight in the world, endure this? Moreover, Jaban State had had four of their warships extorted by Hong Dali, four warships! If they did not use this opportunity to make a fuss, then it would be too late.

When the President finished reading all the documents, he thought for a while, then said, “So, Chief Salon, what you intend to do, as mentioned in this document as well, is to hold a military exercise to show Heavenly State what we’re capable of? And fight for Hong Dali to be locked up by Heavenly State?”

“Yes.” Salon nodded and said, “Hong Dali sent someone to assassinate the company president of Toyoda Conglomerate, Tarō Gohon. We can make use of this point and use Jaban as an excuse to hold a military exercise near the seas of Heavenly State. In that case, regardless of whether Heavenly State does anything to Hong Dali, there is sure to be a conflict between them. After all, unless Heavenly State intends to declare war, the only thing they can do is to hold a military exercise as well. We can then find out if the protective shield exists or not. Hong Dali will realize that Heavenly State is making use of them, and will possibly get rid of him after… Mr. President, what do you think Hong Dali will feel about this?”

His idea was wicked.

It was impossible for Hong Dali not to know if they held the military exercise right beside the border of Heavenly State. It was also impossible for Heavenly State to declare war. The protective shield would be exposed if a military exercise was held. No matter what they did, it wouldn’t be right. Through some special means, they could let Hong Dali suspect that Heavenly State was just making use of him—once the feeling of division was created, it would be difficult to eliminate it. Hence, everyone only had praise for Salon’s idea.

“En, this is a good idea.” The President thought for a while. This idea that Salon came up with would only cost them some money. There were no disadvantages to it. Heavenly State’s principle was never to directly provoke war. It looked promising.

“We’ll do that, then.” The President instructed right away. “We will dispatch three carrier strike groups. This has to be done on a big scale. Let people all over the world know that we are going to hold a military exercise. Bring all the latest weapons, let Heavenly State take a good look. Show them that it’s not so easy to take over Merika’s position in the world.”

“Yes, Sir!”

…

On Big Fish ship island, Bureau Chief’s designated office.

Since he was prepared to stick to Hong Dali for a while, it was necessary for him to have his own office.

At that moment, in this temporary office, the Bureau Chief was busy making calls. “How are the arrangements for Water Spirit Village? Are the geological expeditions, the scientific exploration team, and the soldiers responsible for secrecy arranged? What about the villagers in Water Spirit Village? Remember, this news cannot be leaked out. Once you find anything like a cave, report immediately!”

On the other end of the phone. “Yes, we will be sure to complete the mission!”

As he hung up the phone, he made another call. “How is the search going? Remember, this is an important matter. It must never leak out. Otherwise, you don’t have to think of coming out for the rest of your life. Understand?!”

“Yes, I understand!”

The Bureau Chief made more than ten of such calls before he finally let out a long breath and mumbled. “Damn it. Hong Dali’s luck is still as good as before. I don’t know how he managed to do this, it’s too amazing. He bought Water Spirit Village with the intention of squandering. Now there’s actually a chance that treasures are hidden underneath. And the treasures could be related to the aliens… damn. This is too much information. I wonder what kind of shocking discovering we will make…”

He thought for a while and sighed again.

There was no need to think further. Even if he cracked his head, he would not understand. Both the Bureau Chief and the mysterious man had acknowledged the fact that they could not ponder matters over Hong Dali. Nothing was too weird when it came to his matters. If they were shocked by everything that happened around him, they would get heart attacks sooner or later.

“Du, du, du…” The Bureau Chief calmed down for a while before his phone rang. He was shocked when he picked up the phone. “What?! What did you say? Merika sent three carrier strike groups to the borders of Heavenly State for a military exercise?!”

The person on the other end of the phone sounded terrified of the news as well. “Yes, Mr. Bureau Chief. Merika is reporting on this now. It seems they’re here for Young Master Dali.”

“Let me take a look!” He hung up the phone and quickly turned on his computer, connecting to the Merika military channel via a satellite-specific channel.

Indeed, at that moment, countless Merkican reporters were announcing news of the three carriers, as well as the latest weapons on them—

“Ladies and Gentlemen, good afternoon. I’m a reporter from Merika Military News. Behind me is our powerful army. They are preparing an expedition to the west side of the Pacific Ocean for a military exercise. Three Gale-class aircraft carriers will be involved in this military exercise. Of course, I don’t have the full technical details. Let me invite our Defense Minister, Chief Itra, to tell everyone more about it. Please!”
