Dimensional Keeper: All My Skills Are at Level 100

Chapter 1676 Taking Care of Ray!

After Jonathan and Julie completely left the underground chamber, silence gradually returned once again.

Only Max and Ray remained inside the dark prison-like cave now.

The flickering torch flames hanging along the stone walls cast long moving shadows throughout the chamber while Ray continued breathing heavily from the poison spreading inside his body.

His condition had clearly worsened compared to earlier. Purple poison veins spread visibly beneath his skin while his spiritual aura fluctuated chaotically without stability.

Meanwhile, Max calmly walked forward step by step until he finally stopped directly in front of Ray.

Then he spoke quietly.

”Before you die, there is something I want to know.”

Ray slowly raised his head after hearing those words.

Hatred and killing intent immediately filled his bloodshot eyes the moment he looked at Max.

”Who exactly from the Sword God Palace ordered you to kill me?” Max asked calmly.

The moment those words entered Rayʼs ears, his expression changed slightly.

Although the change was brief, Max still noticed it clearly.

However, that hesitation quickly disappeared and was replaced by a cold sneer afterward.

”You think I would tell you something like that?” Ray laughed hoarsely while glaring at Max hatefully.

Even in his miserable state, arrogance still remained deeply rooted within him.

”You really have no idea what kind of existence the Sword God Palace truly is,” Ray continued coldly.

His face gradually twisted more and more while hatred filled his voice.

”If I die here, the Sword God Palace will never let you go.”

”The people standing behind me are existences far beyond your imagination.”

Ray continued threatening Max repeatedly while relying entirely upon the reputation and power of the Sword God Palace.

”The moment they discover what happened to me, your fate will become worse than death.”

”You actually think someone like you can oppose the Sword God Palace?”

Ray suddenly burst into crazed laughter.

”You are nothing in front of them!”

However, throughout the entire exchange, Maxʼs expression remained completely calm.

He simply observed Ray quietly while pondering silently in his mind.

Since Ray refused to reveal the truth willingly, Max could only speculate himself.

Deep down, Max already possessed a strong suspicion regarding the identity of the person behind all this.

Mira.

The daughter of the Sword God Palace.

From the beginning, she had shown obvious hostility toward him, especially after the matter involving the Dragonheart Sword and what had happened between them in Orion. Everything pointed toward her.

However—

Another possibility suddenly surfaced within Maxʼs mind.

Could there perhaps be someone else involved as well?

Someone else within the Sword God Palace who also wanted him dead?

That thought caused Maxʼs eyes to narrow slightly.

Then slowly, a faint smile appeared across his face.

”If you refuse to answer,” Max said calmly, ”then I will simply find the answer myself.”

Before Ray could properly understand what Max meant, Max suddenly raised his right hand and directly placed it upon Rayʼs head.

The moment Max touched him, Rayʼs expression changed drastically.

An overwhelming sense of danger exploded within his heart instantly.

”What are you doing?!” Ray shouted instinctively.

However, before he could react further—

Boom!!!

A terrifying wave of soul force erupted violently from Maxʼs body.

The entire underground chamber trembled faintly while strange soul fluctuations spread throughout the surroundings. Even the torch flames along the walls flickered chaotically beneath the pressure.

Then suddenly—

Ray screamed.

”AAAAAAHHHHHH!!!”

An incomparably painful scream echoed throughout the underground prison as a translucent figure was forcefully dragged out from within Rayʼs body.

It was his soul.

Rayʼs soul struggled frantically while emitting terrified screams, but it was completely unable to resist the overwhelming authority of the Dimension of Soul.

At that moment, Maxʼs eyes glowed faintly while terrifying soul laws silently activated around him.

The next instant, Rayʼs soul was directly pulled into the Dimension of Soul.

Inside that mysterious dimension, everything immediately changed.

The moment Rayʼs soul entered the Dimension of Soul, it became completely suppressed by the laws governing that place. Invisible soul chains instantly wrapped around it while terrifying refining power descended from every direction.

Rayʼs soul struggled desperately.

He screamed.

He begged.

However, nothing could stop the refining process.

Soon afterward, the Dimension of Soul began breaking Rayʼs soul apart gradually and refining it into pure soul force.

At the same time, Max immediately felt enormous amounts of refined soul energy flowing directly into his sea of consciousness.

His soul force began increasing rapidly.

The strength of his soul became noticeably more powerful while pure soul energy continuously nourished every corner of his consciousness.

However, that was not the only thing Max obtained.

As Rayʼs soul continued being refined completely, countless memories suddenly flooded directly into Maxʼs mind.

Scenes began flashing rapidly one after another.

Conversations.

Orders.

Hatred.

Plans.

Killing intent.

Max silently watched through all of Rayʼs memories while searching for the answer he wanted.

Then eventually—

He saw her.

Mira.

The daughter of the Sword God Palace.

Inside Rayʼs memories, Max clearly witnessed Mira personally instructing Ray to kill him during the Smelting Trial. The hatred within her eyes while speaking about Max was unmistakable.

The moment Max saw those memories, a cold smile slowly appeared across his face.

”So it truly was you,” Max muttered quietly.

Knowing that the person behind everything was indeed Mira, Max did not feel particularly surprised.

From the very beginning, he had already suspected her involvement. After witnessing the memories extracted from Rayʼs soul, that suspicion had merely been confirmed completely.

Because of that, Max no longer wasted any further thought on the matter.

Instead, his gaze slowly shifted toward Rayʼs lifeless body lying on the cold stone floor.

Then—

Black flames suddenly erupted from Maxʼs hand.

The dark flames radiated terrifying devouring energy as they instantly engulfed Rayʼs corpse completely. The moment the flames touched the body, Rayʼs flesh, blood, bones, and even remaining spiritual energy began rapidly disintegrating.

Within only a few moments, Rayʼs body was completely devoured into nothingness.

At the same time, a dense stream of energy immediately surged back into Maxʼs body through the black flames.
