Dimensional Keeper: All My Skills Are at Level 100

Chapter 1571  Other Universes?

As Max and Lucia continued moving toward the center of the secret domain, they passed through several regions that bore the marks of war. Vast stretches of land had been torn apart, and in many places, they could still see the remnants of ongoing battles between the primordials and the devils.

The clashes were intense and chaotic.

Neither side held back, and the scale of destruction forced Max and Lucia to proceed with extreme caution. They avoided direct paths and instead took long detours, circling around active battle zones to ensure they did not draw attention to themselves.

Every step had to be measured, as even the slightest disturbance could attract powerful enemies.

Despite the delays, they continued advancing.

Max could already feel the change in the surroundings. The closer they moved, the stronger the fluctuations in space became, and the more intense the aura in the air grew. He could sense that the center was near. At their current pace, it would only take a few more minutes to reach it.

However, just as they were about to enter the central region, something unexpected happened.

A powerful figure suddenly appeared in their path.

It was a primordial.

The moment its gaze fell upon Max and Lucia, it did not hesitate. Without any warning, it launched an attack, its aura surging as it struck with overwhelming force.

The attack arrived instantly.

Max reacted without delay.

”Four Divine Beast Manifestation - Black Tortoise.”

A massive tortoise formed in front of them, its enormous shell rising like an immovable wall. The black flames condensed into a dense and solid barrier, radiating a heavy defensive presence.

The primordialʼs attack collided with it.

A powerful shockwave spread outward, shaking the surrounding ground as the impact rang out loudly. The force pressed heavily against the tortoiseʼs shell, but the manifestation held firm, absorbing the attack without breaking.

Max stood behind it, maintaining the defense with complete focus.

Only after the attack had been fully blocked did the situation change.

The primordial suddenly paused.

Its expression shifted as it looked more closely at Max and Lucia, as though it had only now realized something important.

It had been attacking humans.

The hostility in its eyes faded slightly as it withdrew its power, no longer pressing forward with another strike.

”Forgive me for attacking without warning,” the primordial said, his tone sincere as he inclined his head slightly. ”I mistook you both for devils and did not hesitate to strike.”

”There is no need to apologize,” Max replied calmly as he dismissed the Black Tortoise manifestation. Even so, his guard did not drop completely, as he continued to observe the primordial with quiet caution.

The primordial studied them for a moment before speaking again. ”Lately, I have been encountering many unfamiliar humans on this battlefield,” he said. ”I am part of the primordial forces tasked with eliminating devils that attempt to ambush others. May I ask which force the two of you belong to?”

Max paused for a brief moment, unsure how to respond.

From what he understood, the Black Dragon Clan had not yet come into existence during this period. It was only formed after the events of this war that ancestors of the Black Dragon Clan took the heart out of the Black Dragon corpse that lead to the creation of the Black Dragon Clan, which meant that revealing such an identity here would not make sense.

Before he could speak, Lucia stepped forward and answered. ”We are independent warriors who came to assist in this war.”

”I see,” the primordial said with a nod.

He then introduced himself. ”My name is Kyle. And you two are?”

”I am Max, and this is Lucia,” Max replied.

Kyle nodded once more before bowing slightly. ”Max, Lucia, thank you both for joining this war.”

Max was taken aback by the gesture. Seeing a primordial bow to them felt strange, and for a moment, he was unsure how to respond.

After a brief pause, he decided to take the opportunity to gather information. ”We have only recently arrived,” Max said. ”Can you tell us why this war is happening? Why are the devils attacking Orion?”

Kyleʼs expression shifted to one of surprise. ”You truly do not know about the war?” he asked, looking at both of them with a hint of disbelief.

Max gave a faint, wry smile. ”We come from a very remote corner of the planet. Our star realm does not even have third rate forces, so information of this scale never reached us.”

”I understand,” Kyle said, nodding slowly. ”In that case, it is not strange that you are unaware.”

He took a moment before explaining.

”The devils have invaded our universe, the Divine Realm,” he said. ”We have been fighting them for several years now. However, since your region lies at the edge of the Divine Realm, the invasion has not yet reached that far.”

Max listened carefully before asking, ”Why would the devils invade the Divine Realm?”

Kyle shook his head slightly. ”That is something I do not fully know. My position among the primordials is not high enough to access such information. However, there are many rumors.”

He continued, ”It is said that the devils come from another universe. Their own world is no longer enough for them, so they have turned their attention toward ours. They wish to conquer this universe, enslave its inhabitants, and establish their rule here.”

He then gestured toward the surroundings. ”This planet, Orion, holds great importance. It is the first place where mortals arrive after ascending to the Divine Realm. It contains the Ascension Tunnel that connects the mortal world to this realm.”

A trace of heaviness appeared in his voice.

”For reasons unknown, Orion has become the central battlefield of this war. Some believe that the devils seek to take control of the mortal realm by seizing the Ascension Tunnel. Others say they are searching for something even more valuable, something that can only be accessed through that very tunnel.”

Kyle exhaled softly and shook his head. ”As for the truth, I cannot say for certain.”

Max fell into thought as he processed the information, but one detail captured his attention more than anything else.

”There are other universes?” he asked, his curiosity evident. ”If that is true, then how many exist? And what is the name of our universe?”
