Surviving the apocalypse with a wife and a system! [GL]

After this, there’s a 3d image of her entire body dressed in plain jeans and shirt, exactly like those games.

Below this, there’s the actual things.

Bai Li looked through there and found that, there seemed to be 3 most important parts,

On the panel, it showed,

Physical strength: 20. [Max number for a human is 10]

Mental strength: 10.

Superpowers: NA [Not awakened yet]

Soul weapons: [Provided by the gods] [Not arrived yet. The gods are still preparing.]

And below, there’s a few more things such as the number of zombies killed which is currently 0. Then, there’s the number of mutated monsters killed, which is also currently 0.

And that was it.

Bai Li felt a little thankful that there was not too much information in the system panel, like in the games, otherwise, it would be too tough to navigate through them easily.

The system suddenly said at this moment,

: ”Now you know most of the important details of this world and about yourself as well as the system. I will be going offline for a few days, host. Because the gods are preparing for an update in the system. After this, your soul weapons would also arrive, which will give you a bigger advantage in your survival journey. And finally host! The apocalypse would start in about 6 days. Please prepare as much as you can beforehand!”

Bai Li nodded slightly after hearing its words. Although she didn’t understand what these soul weapons were, she felt that since the gods themselves are preparing it, then it must truly be something good!

She couldn’t help but anticipate what it could be.

Bai Li again sat on the edge of the bed and sighed slightly. She called out to the system in her mind but received no reply. It seems, it has truly gone offline.

But just then, a few urgent sentences floated into her mind,

”Oh!! Right, host! I almost forgot! You can find out about your identity in this world in the system panel! I will be out now, bye!”

Bai Li couldn’t help but laugh at the silliness of this system as she opened the system panel. She didn’t need to do anything nor give any command. With just a thought, the system panel appears before her eyes and disappears when she thinks of it.

In the system panel, she didn’t see any extra option which would let her know about her identity in this world. Bai Li looked a little confused.

”Did the system forget to put it here in a hurry?”

But just then, she felt that name in the system panel seemed to glow once. She observed it and found that it seemed to be glowing on and off every second, just like those games, where a task is left unfinished and the task bar would glow on and off continuously to let the player know.

Bai Li thought for a moment before mentally clicking on the name and immediately afterwards, a few words containing some basic information about her identity floated onto the panel.

On the panel, it read,

”Bai Li. An orphan. After completing school and college on full scholarship, she joined a software engineering company and became an employee with a pretty high salary from the start. She saved enough to buy this 2-bedroom apartment by herself, paying the full price at just the age of 22! Part of it also had to do with the investments that she made in the stock market. She was quite lucky in some of them which led to her racking millions in a single time.

Then, there is information about her phone passwords, bank details, where she works, and the important list of calls that she may need in case. And then, there’s the photo of the property deed of this apartment as well as where it’s stored in the apartment. There is also some more important information related to her identity. The original identity in the book was just a cannon fodder with little to no importance in the book nor in the life of the female protagonist. She died at the start of the apocalypse and then there’s no mention of her.”

Bai Li sighed. She was truly an out and out cannon fodder. Not even her death was mentioned in the book. Anyway, this is not just the world inside a book anymore. Bai Li cannot just categorize people as cannon fodders or main characters or villains anymore. This is not okay.

Thinking things through, Bai Li took out her mobile phone from the corner of the bed. Opening the phone with her fingerprints, she immediately opened the banking app. Quickly filling in the passwords and details from the system panel, she checked in and the moment she saw the amount, she couldn’t help but praise her identity a little more.

There were almost ten million yuan in her bank account! This was truly an impressive amount for someone of her age! But it was understandable. Being a software engineer did earn people a good amount of salary and coupled with the money she made through investments were also quite a lot. And it also had to do with the fact that Bai Li pretty much saved most of her salary and except for the daily necessities and some bills and some expenses that she made herself which was a few thousand yuan at most. There were not many expenses in her life. She also didn’t have any expensive hobbies nor did she like spending money on useless things. For this, Bai Li could only thank her from the bottom of her heart.

Bai Li was satisfied with the amount in the bank, but she knew that to truly prepare for the upcoming apocalypse, she had to move out from this tiny 2bhk apartment.

Thinking of this, she opened the wall attached wardrobe and opened a section of the drawer, under which, she found the property deeds of this 2bhk apartment.

Taking the property deeds and all other necessary documents and ids, she set out to the bank. She walked towards the door, put on the blue shoes and walked out of the door.
