’Psychological Society’?

Hearing this name, Lin Yu immediately understood.

Wasn’t this the organization that was banned from ”accessing the forum” that he saw yesterday?

Definitely not a good group!

Lin Yu quietly slipped his hand into his coat, concealing the revolver.

The [Guaranteed-Hit Revolver] still only had one bullet after returning to reality - though the bullet count refreshed daily, unlike in dungeons where the entire game only provided one.

Lin Yu didn’t rashly fire or even reveal the pistol.

Though this guaranteed-hit bullet was powerful...

The other party had already introduced himself as belonging to an organization.

And one specifically called out by the [Forum]!

This meant the ’Psychological Society’ was likely not only shady but also highly notorious, probably large and influential.

At the very least...

Besides this unidentified man in black, their organization included that gun-wielding madman who had shot him before.

So Lin Yu decided to negotiate first.

”Who exactly are you people? Why did you try to kill me before?” Lin Yu asked coldly.

The man in black chuckled: ”Kill? No no... Our goal wasn’t your death, but to make you join the Death Game!”

”According to our organization’s ’assessment,’ you showed great potential - as expected, you were selected and even cleared the game successfully!”

”Our organization seeks promising individuals... those capable of extraordinary achievements in this game who haven’t yet joined. We can’t allow such talents to be wasted.”

Hearing the man’s excited words, Lin Yu became even more convinced these people were insane.

”What a bunch of psychos... No wonder the forum banned you.”

The man in black scoffed at Lin Yu’s remark.

”The forum? Just mediocre people huddling together for warmth!”

”Anyway... We’re short on time. To avoid interference from those mediocrities, I should complete my mission.”

He looked directly at Lin Yu: ”So, esteemed Mr. Lin Yu, what class have you awakened?”

Lin Yu narrowed his eyes: ”Why should I tell you?”

Not only had he awakened the unique class [Fraudster] which couldn’t be revealed to anyone...

Even if he had awakened another class, he wouldn’t tell this man or the ’Psychological Society.’

”Because this is part of further ’assessment.’ You’d better cooperate... Otherwise...”

The man drew a dagger from his waist.

”I’ll have to extract the information forcefully.”

Seeing the glinting blade, Lin Yu immediately sensed danger again.

What happened when Death Game players were killed again in reality?

The answer... was permanent death.

Lin Yu almost instantly wanted to fire.

But he suppressed the impulse.

This man in black was his only current lead... he couldn’t die.

Moreover, while the dagger was threatening, it was likely more for intimidation.

So Lin Yu responded coldly:

”Oh? Then I’d love to see you try!”

Putting away his pistol, Lin Yu bent down and picked up half a brick from the ground - in these old neighborhood streets, many broken bricks lay loose and easily lifted.

The man in black seemed surprised by Lin Yu’s confidence.

”You don’t seem afraid of direct combat? Bricks versus daggers aren’t favorable odds. Plus, you don’t know my class, do you?”

”Your class doesn’t matter, because I’ve awakened as [Soldier], the best class for combat,” Lin Yu declared.

He had made his choice.

Facing this mysterious man, Lin Yu decided to impersonate a [Soldier]!

Yu Longguo’s insane combat prowess had left a deep impression.

Moreover, after reviewing common class abilities yesterday, Lin Yu knew [Soldier] was among the best for one-on-one fights, granting comprehensive physical enhancements!

The man in black froze momentarily before shaking his head: ”Impossible. Your real-life background has nothing to do with [Soldier]. We investigated you - you’re a college student...”

Lin Yu smiled.

”Seems you never attended college. Don’t you know we have military training?”

Without hesitation, he weighed the brick in his hand and raised it level before him.

”Watch closely, idiot... Even with your dagger, you’re no match for the enhancements [Soldier] gives me!”

The man’s expression changed slightly.

Lin Yu raised the brick high overhead and, with full force, smashed it toward his own other arm.

During the brick’s descent—

Lin Yu felt his words become reality!

In that instant, the man believed Lin Yu was a soldier!

After all, who would deliberately break their own arm before a fight unless absolutely confident?

This was precisely Lin Yu’s plan.

He’d raised the brick dramatically to give the man time to think and believe.

As for his decisiveness? Pure acting.

And he gambled right.

With the man’s belief...

Lin Yu truly became a [Soldier]!

His physical abilities multiplied instantly - strength flooded his body, movements turning light and agile.

”Crack!”

The brick struck Lin Yu’s forearm, causing slight pain.

But enhanced skin, muscles and bones improved his durability - the impact only stung briefly without real harm!

The brick itself shattered against his arm.

Lin Yu stared down the man in black.

”Now you know my class.”

”Since you admitted being from the same organization as my killer... It’s only fair I take revenge, right?”

Lin Yu clenched his fist.

”Name your class, or I’ll have to extract it forcefully!”

The man in black laughed at Lin Yu’s imposing demeanor.

”Fine, I’ll tell you. Though you’re a [Soldier], the organization sent me because my class handles such situations.”

”Oh?” Lin Yu squinted.

The man put away his dagger and produced two black spheres from his clothes.

”Surprised? While not unique, my class is rare and powerful!”

”My class is [Ninja] - farewell, Lin Yu!”

He smashed the spheres on the ground, producing billowing smoke.

”Cough! Cough!”

The acrid, slightly spicy smoke made Lin Yu’s eyes water and nose burn.

Waving away the smoke, Lin Yu found the street empty again.

Under the vast night sky, Lin Yu sighed.

”[Ninja]? If classes relate to real-life ’experience,’ how does someone awaken that?”

That guy didn’t even look Japanese!

Too much Naruto gaming, perhaps?
