Weakest Beast Tamer Gets All SSS Dragons

Chapter 1110 - Taming the Wall - Acknowledgment - 3

For Sirius the situation was incredibly complicated, tangled in a knot that offered no easy solutions.

On one hand, the debt he owed Ren was astronomical. It went so far beyond a simple ”thank you” indeed…

He didnʼt just owe this boy his life, or his freedom from the chamber or corruption. He owed him the possibility of Lykea. That impossible, miraculous dream was only viable because Ren existed, because Ren seemed to possess the terrifying capacity to bend the laws of reality.

Sirius wanted that. He wanted his wife back with the suffocating intensity of a man who had spent years grinding his teeth together just to stop himself from crying. And the single living entity in the entire world capable of handing him that miracle was currently asleep in the bed next to him.

But on the other hand, wanting something desperately from someone did not give him the right to sell his daughter to get it.

The intrusive, sickening thought that Ren might eventually take Luna as a mere concubine, rather than his official wife, sent a violent heat rushing up his throat. It took every ounce of his legendary discipline to stop himself from literally foaming at the mouth in pure rage.

The sheer, insulting idea of it.

His daughter. Lykeaʼs flesh and blood. Reduced to a secondary, subservient position in a crowded political harem?

It didnʼt matter if he owed the boy the entire universe. It didnʼt matter how much suffocating gratitude he carried in his soul. Absolutely not!

And yet…

As the protective fury burned in his chest, Siriusʼs analytical mind presented a counter-argument.

He already possessed a vastly different understanding of Ren.

Sirius had just looked the corruption dead in the eye. He had felt it invade his own flesh. He knew exactly what it felt like, that sickly, sweet invitation of boundless power that tore your soul apart the second you accepted it.

He had experienced firsthand that it was absolutely no joke.

He had deployed every single ounce of his legendary, lifelong military discipline just to barely resist it, and he had still failed miserably. He would have become a monster if Ren hadnʼt intervened.

And this young man? He didnʼt just resist the corruption… He controlled it.

Ren absorbed it. He forcefully purified it, violently bending the necrotic rot to his will and weaponizing it as fuel against itself. To execute that kind of absolute dominance over the darkest energy in existence required a level of mental fortitude and spiritual purity that Sirius couldnʼt even begin to comprehend in someone so young.

That fact alone fundamentally changed the problem.

Someone possessing a soul of that absolute, unshakeable purity could not possibly harbor malicious intentions he could call out. A boy with a mind that diamond-hard couldnʼt be inherently wicked, manipulative, or cruel.

He was convinced now… It was biologically and spiritually impossible.

As he stared at the steady rise and fall of Renʼs chest, Siriusʼs perspective shifted entirely.

He no longer saw Ren as the arrogant, annoying kid from the forest. He no longer saw him as a convenient, hyper-lethal tool that Selphira and Julius coveted for their political games. He saw Ren exactly for what he was: an absolute, living blessing, carrying a cosmic burden that no one else in the history of the world could shoulder.

The anger in Siriusʼs chest slowly dissolved, replaced by a profound, grounding certainty.

In fact, he realized, he didnʼt just accept it. He actively wanted this boy for Luna.

And it was precisely because Luna also wanted him.

As Sirius watched the three girls hovering around the boyʼs bed, the sprawling, invisible political web that Selphira and Julius had meticulously woven over the years finally made perfect, terrifying sense. He saw exactly why the kingdomʼs greatest minds coveted this boy, and why they had built an entire strategic ecosystem around him.

Ren wasnʼt just a prodigy; he was the sun they were all trying to orbit.

But Sirius was a father before he was a commander. He wanted Ren for Luna. And he wanted him for Luna alone.

That was the suffocating knot he couldnʼt untie.

But before he made a single move, before he threw his political weight around, negotiated, or threatened anyone, he needed to speak to his daughter privately. He needed to know exactly where the battle lines were drawn.

He needed to ask her exactly where she stood.

He needed to know if she was competing, and who exactly was winning. The other two girls hovering around the bed were practically family. They were her earliest childhood friends. The suffocating idea that his precious daughter was being forced to wage a bitter, romantic war against the girls she had grown up with, who were now backed by massive, influential houses, twisted something deep in his gut that went far beyond mere nausea.

Sirius spent the entire day turning the problem over in his mind, grinding it down like a stone in a mill.

The parade of visitors was constant.

Julius and Arturo arrived first. Their visits were heavy with the profound relief and warmth of men who had suffered a similar, agonizing loss, a loss of a father that mirrored Lunaʼs, and were now welcoming back a ghost from their previous world.

Then came his old comrades. Grizzled veterans from the Wall, men who had long since buried him in their minds. Each visit was a delicate balancing act. Sirius held conversations with half his brain, exchanging pleasantries and military assessments, while the other half remained completely obsessed with the silent drama unfolding across the room.

His daughter and the two other girls never left Renʼs side.

For the entire day... They didnʼt take shifts.

They didnʼt find excuses to step out for fresh air or food. All three of them simply orbited the unconscious boyʼs bed with a relentless, gravitational constancy. Watching them hover, tracking their micro-expressions of worry and devotion, Sirius gathered all the unspoken intelligence he needed.

It wasnʼt until late into the night, when the castle had settled into a heavy, suffocating quiet, that Sirius finally found his opening. Luna stepped out of the room after Liora came back for a brief moment, heading to the washroom to splash water on her exhausted face in front of the mirror.

He intercepted her in the dim, stone-arched hallway, far out of earshot from the others.
