Immortality begin with Alchemy Grandmaster

Chapter 1121: Chapter 441 Great Snow Mountain

In the ship’s cabin’s quiet room, as warm as spring,

Luo Chen took the materials one by one from He Lianyun’s hand, all of which had been prepared in advance.

Every type of material was basically in quantities sufficient for more than ten uses.

And most of them were of extremely high quality!

It was evident that in refining the Nether Origin Pill, He Lianyun and the others certainly hadn’t skimped on any steps.

But even so, Luo Chen still found many areas that were lacking.

”Why hasn’t the Red Crystal Date been peeled in advance?”

”Eh, wouldn’t the medicinal properties be lost if it’s peeled?”

”Who told you that? The medicinal nature of this ingredient is extremely volatile. If it’s not peeled in advance to release some of its potency, it simply can’t be used for pill refinement.”

”Ah, what should we do then?”

”Don’t worry, give me some time to handle it. In three to five days, the medicinal properties will have dissipated to a suitable degree.”

”Hmm? This Cold Star Grass...”

”What’s wrong now?”

”Ah, are the Pill Refiners from the Lianyun Business Union only of this level? They can’t even process Cold Star Grass properly. Forget it, just leave all the materials here. I’ll reprocess each one myself.”

He Lianyun handed over a storage bag full of medicinal materials to Luo Chen and left the room with a look of dejection.

He emerged onto the deck.

Fu Jiusheng glanced over at him.

”What’s wrong?”

”The medicinal materials I collected, Luo Chen isn’t quite satisfied with them; he said quite a few were processed incorrectly. But I had them prepared according to the most standard methods available in the market. I suspect Luo Chen is nitpicking on purpose,” He Lianyun grumbled.

”Oh, is that so?” Fu Jiusheng responded nonchalantly.

Seeing Fu Jiusheng’s unsurprised manner, He Lianyun felt puzzled.

”Isn’t it intentional nitpicking?”

Fu Jiusheng explained with a smile, ”It’s not your fault; there’s indeed a possibility that Luo Chen isn’t nitpicking intentionally. I know quite a few formidable Great Sect Pill Refiners; even when refining the same elixir with the same materials, they all have different standards for processing.”

After hearing this explanation, He Lianyun became more confused.

”For the same elixir, shouldn’t there be a consistent standard and proportion for the medicinal materials?”

”No, no, no...”

Fu Jiusheng shook his head, ”This has to do with the level of the Pill Refiner. If their Pill Refinement Technique is strong enough, they can weaken overly potent ingredients. And if the ingredients have too low potency, they can compensate in other ways. When it comes down to the actual refinement process, it also depends on the Pill Refiner’s mastery over certain Pill Techniques. If their skill in a certain Pill Technique is too low, they might abandon an ingredient that requires a high mastery of that particular technique in the Pill Formula, and use another ingredient that is easier to handle with a different Pill Technique...”

As he spoke, the explanation became more complex.

He Lianyun felt dizzy and hurriedly gestured for him to stop, ”Enough, you’re saying that it all depends on the Pill Refiner’s own skill and habits, right?”

Fu Jiusheng smiled slightly and nodded his head.

He Lianyun exhaled a sigh of turbid qi, ”Fine, let’s assume Luo Chen isn’t deliberately causing trouble.”

Meanwhile, beneath Fu Jiusheng’s chuckling, ruddy face, there was a trace of doubt.

”Luo Chen shouldn’t have personally experimented with the refinements of the Nether Origin Pill before, considering the lack of key ingredients.”

”So how could he know precisely the appropriate standards required for each material?”

He Lianyun was unaware of his skepticism.

Gazing at the fleeting scenery outside the flying boat, like inverted shadows of clouds, his expression turned serious.

”Friend Fu, given the situation, it’s time to reveal our true destination.”

...

Back in the cabin,

Luo Chen briefly processed the various medicinal materials according to his own habits before storing them away.

Yes, just a brief processing.

The materials prepared by He Lianyun were actually very well done.

With Luo Chen’s solid foundation in Pill Technique, these materials were completely ready for use in pill-making.

The reason he fussed was actually to greedily claim some of the extra materials for himself.

In his six-year study of the Nether Origin Pill Recipe, Luo Chen had hardly ever stopped.

The ultimate result was that there was no significant breakthrough.

After all, it was a Core Formation Pill Formula from a Holy Land Sect, further refined by a Divine Transformation Great Power.

At his current level, he was unable to improve it any further.

But while he didn’t make any major breakthroughs, he took a different approach and tried to simplify the Pill Formula.

Not looking for better, but settling for worse!

Even if it were worse, it would still be a Third-Order Pill Formula, especially one related to Core Formation.

If he could simplify it into a new Pill Formula, even if it was less effective than the Nether Origin Pill and the original Dark Sea Pill, it would still be a tremendous gain for Luo Chen.

Then he could try to refine it himself, for internal use or for sale, or even use it as an opportunity to network with other sects and expand his connections.

Of course, the latter two options were too risky.

Luo Chen mainly wanted to derive a formula that was relatively suitable for consumption by himself and the Luo Tian Creed Cultivators.

Should he succeed,

The Luo Tian Creed Cultivators’ journey to Core Formation would no longer be restricted by the Great Sects.

For this reason, Luo Chen needed more medicinal materials related to the original Pill Formula.

Even if his current realm was insufficient to simplify the Nether Origin Pill Recipe,

Once his realm advanced, maybe then he could complete this task.

Cultivation, after all, is not just concerned with the present.

After storing away all the materials, the only item left in front of Luo Chen was the intact Blue Thunder Flower.

Splendid and translucent, with occasional flashes of blue lightning arcs.

”Divine Transformation Bai Ye, a Thunder Dao Great Power.”
