A piece of news, or rather an established fact, quickly spread among the nearly hundred cultivators of the Luo Tian Creed.

The Luo Tian Creed had appointed a ”President”!

This was a new position, different from the titles of Hall Master, Elder, Steward, and even the minor managers.

However, everyone accepted it quickly.

”President”, as the name suggests, is someone who ”collects and makes decisions”.

The appearance of such a position was not surprising.

In the Immortal Cultivation Clans, this would be a position second only to the Clan Chief, the Family Head.

In a Sect, it would be a position only inferior to the Supreme Elder, the Sect Master or the Sect Leader.

Their duty is to help the true power head, collect and make decisions on many trivial matters.

However, the Luo Tian Creed simply adopted a more popular and easy-to-understand name.

What surprised the cultivators was that the position of President was not given to the familiar Murong Qinglian or Qin Liangchen, who, while holding nominal titles, had little to do and had a good relationship with the president.

Instead, it was a female cultivator from the Golden Hall.

Sima Huiniang!

Everyone was fairly familiar with this woman.

She was the leader of a well-known small group of rogue cultivators in the Great River District — Three Sima Cultivators.

She had always had a good reputation externally, handled affairs with grace, had a measured approach to things, and her methods were flexible.

When she joined the Luo Tian Creed, as one of the four ninth-level Qi Refining female cultivators, she attracted considerable attention.

Among the four ninth-level Qi Refining female cultivators in the Luo Tian Creed, Granny Yuan was aged, and Murong Qinglian was spoken for.

However, Gu Caiyi, the Hall Master of the Golden Hall, had a deep relationship with the president, so very few dared to harbor ulterior motives towards her.

Being the last one with a pleasant personality and strong ability, Sima Huiniang, who was without a specific post, often attracted the attention of male cultivators.

People had wondered why, among the Three Sima Cultivators, the other two brothers became Elders and Stewards respectively while the most capable, Sima Huiniang, was neglected in the Golden Hall.

Nobody had expected that the president would be so decisive and directly promoted her to the position of President.

In this way, her position in the Luo Tian Creed immediately became one below the leader and above hundreds.

Even the four Hall Masters (Granny Yuan was the Deputy Hall Master of Pill Hall) would have to obey her command.

All kinds of petty tasks, anything that needed Luo Chen’s decision, from now on, they must report to her, with Sima Huiniang making the final decision.

This swift rise could easily become the talk of the town and, sure enough, it quickly spread within the Luo Tian Creed.

However, in contrast to the buzzing chatter among the lower rank cultivators, the high-ranking members of Luo Tian Creed did not express any opinion.

Even the tasks that should be reported to Luo Chen were all transferred to Sima Huiniang.

Luo Chen, who had been observing secretly, paid close attention to the reactions of the cultivators.

Seeing that no chaos erupted, he couldn’t help but breathe a sigh of relief.

His decision to promote Sima Huiniang to a position similar to that of a Sect Leader and elevate himself to the position of a Supreme Elder could be considered somewhat risky.

After all, the Luo Tian Creed had not been established for a long time.

However, it was a necessary step for his cultivation.

Otherwise, he would be engulfed by trivial matters and, even with the Heavenly Spirit Root, he wouldn’t be able to withstand such exhaustion.

Luo Chen’s choice of Sima Huiniang was after careful consideration.

Firstly, her ability is undoubtedly commendable.

In these times, leading two brothers and being able to stand on their own in their travels across the worlds certainly leaves no room for doubts about her abilities.

Then, there is her character.

If she were an ingrate or a mercenary, Luo Chen would certainly not trust her.

But Luo Chen is confident in Sima Huiniang’s character.

She treated lower-rank cultivators with goodwill and did not fawn over the stronger ones.

Before summoning Sima Huiniang, he had asked Gu Caiyi and Zeng Wen about her.

Sima Huiniang was a person of good manners. After entering the Golden Hall, she had a good relationship with her colleagues.

But she would not back down unconditionally when facing some difficult clients.

Such a character that could handle internal relationships effectively and was not afraid to offend outsiders was very suitable for an executor of power.

Lastly, it was Sima Huiniang’s identity.

She is not an original member of the Broken Mountain Gang.

Nor is she Luo Chen’s closest friend.

She’s just a rogue cultivator from outside, with only her two brothers for support in the Luo Tian Creed.

Putting such a person in a position comparable to a sect leader suddenly has many advantages.

There’s no fear of her gaining too much power, and there are fewer internal relationships to worry about.

Moreover, it can provide an example for the lower-rank cultivators.

It shows that the president’s promotion of talent does not solely depend on personal relationships.

If one has sufficient ability, even outsiders can hold high positions!

Considering all these factors, Luo Chen finally made this decision.

When the appointment was announced, the Luo Tian Creed, which had been slightly chaotic and aimless, indeed changed.

The three Hall Masters were no longer making needless visits to the Pill Hall.

For some crucial matters, they did not have to wait outside without daring to disturb him while Luo Chen was refining pills.

All they had to do was to consult with Sima Huiniang, who could then quickly make decisions.

The Luo Tian Creed was operating faster and faster.

The use of human and material resources had also reached a reasonable level.

Most importantly, Luo Chen was finally free from trivial matters.

Except for pill refinement and cultivation, hardly anyone disturbed him about minor matters.

Moreover, he didn’t have to worry about being overshadowed by Sima Huiniang at all.
