Immortality begin with Alchemy Grandmaster

Chapter 182: Chapter 116: Observations at Immortal Residence, Crafting the Blood Ignition Pill_1

”Here, breakfast.”

Having passed a leaf-wrapped glutinous rice cake to Luo Chen, Gu Caiyi sat down beside him.

Luo Chen took the steaming hot rice cake and took a satisfying bite.

”Authentic!”

”I never knew that rice cakes made from Spirit Rice could be this delicious.”

Looking at Luo Chen relishing his food, Gu Caiyi chuckled softly, ”Isn’t this all thanks to your popcorn inspiration? Now people have started thinking creatively about the most ordinary Spirit Rice.”

Luo Chen laughed, savoring his Spirit Qi-infused breakfast.

Once a human starts Qi Refinement, their body enters a passive transformation process.

In this process, in addition to Cultivation, the nourishment from food also plays a crucial role.

The so-called ’Fasting of Cultivators’ usually happens when High Order Cultivators start their Closed-Door Cultivation.

However, Lower Order Cultivators should try to avoid fasting as much as possible. During the Qi Refinement Stage, in addition to refining the Spirit Qi from the Outer World, one also refines one’s bodily essence.

If the essence is insufficient, it would damage the Original Source.

Qi refinement that leaves one’s body weakened is a common occurrence.

As for eating, ordinary grains are not the first choice of cultivators.

Consuming too much of such foods only leads to bodily impurities and negatively affects the process of Spirit Refinement Qi Transformation.

Naturally, items like Spirit Rice, Spirit Vegetables, Demon Beast Meat, Spirit Wine, and Spirit Tea became popular.

Even during Luo Chen’s most destitute times, he would grit his teeth and buy even the worst quality Spirit Rice, just to avoid hampering his Cultivation.

Nowadays, the market in The Great River District is booming in terms of Spirit Foods.

Originally, there were usual places like Spirit Source Study and the Zhong Ding Family’s premises.

Luo Chen then invented a series of snacks containing traces of Spirit Qi, which became immensely popular.

Being stimulated by this, Rogue Cultivators also started brainstorming, innovating many snacks imbued with Spirit Qi.

It must be said, these snacks found quite a market. Cultivators tired of eating Spirit Rice were quite willing to spend some Spirit Stones to vary their diets.

For example, Luo Chen enjoys several foods sold on White Stone Plaza, and often has Gu Caiyi and the others bring some over in the morning.

Of course, he would always pay with Spirit Stones, he couldn’t just mooch off others.

He was even quite generous, so those who brought him breakfast could also enjoy the meal.

Gu Caiyi, like ordinary cultivators, usually only ate one meal of Spirit Rice a day.

However, after spending time with Luo Chen, she started to grow used to having breakfast.

As she lay there, she was thinking about some Cultivation matters.

Suddenly, she smelled an aromatic scent.

”Huh, Luo Chen, did you put on some rouge? Why is there a fragrance on you?”

”I’m not a woman, why would I be putting on rouge!”

Gu Caiyi sniffed her nose, and then gave a detailed sniff. The faint aroma coming from Luo Chen was intriguing.

It was as arresting as flames, yet as warm as jade.

It was quite contradictory, but it was really comfortable for her to smell.

Luo Chen paused for a moment before saying, ”It’s probably the residual smell of Pill Qi from my years spent refining pills. Is the scent strong?”

”It’s not intense. You have to be very close and sniff carefully to smell it.”

Gu Caiyi sniffed again, feeling a sense of serenity and ease.

She wondered why she hadn’t noticed the Pill Qi on Luo Chen before.

Hearing her say that, Luo Chen was reassured.

It’s normal for a Pill Refiner to have some Pill Qi on them, as long as it’s not too intense or leaves a lasting impression on others.

However, if unsavory things were to be done in the future, it would be better to hide it or eliminate it completely.

After breakfast, the inner apprentices gradually arrived at the Pill Hall.

A new day of pill refinement was about to begin.

However, under Gu Caiyi’s leadership, these people didn’t have too many complaints.

This month, the promised increase in benefits by Hall Master Luo Chen had been approved by their gang.

Each person, according to their respective positions, had benefited in some way.

In addition, working in the Broken Mountain Gang for a long time would also earn Merit Points.

Accumulating enough Merit Points could allow them to exchange for some Lower Order Spells at the Merits Hall.

While these were common items, purchasing them on their own would cost a lot of Spirit Stones.

Internal exchange was quite cheap.

Thanks to the increase in benefits, their enthusiasm for work was even higher than before. When assisting Luo Chen in refining pills, they are now more dedicated than in the past.

After all, Luo Chen had casually mentioned once that he would promote two supervisors like Qu Hancheng from the ranks of Medicine Disciples and Pill Cultivation experts.

A day later, the pill refinement was over.

Today’s success rate was not high, only about 40%.

Of course, that was just what the inner apprentices saw.

The actual success rate was about 50%.

The extra 10% was secretly skimmed off by Luo Chen.

These were 20 Ascendant Grade Jade Marrow Pills that he purposefully refined, the effectiveness comparable to Qi Nurturing Pill.

Although it doesn’t match the Dusting Pills which are currently commonly consumed, there’s no drug resistance!

Luo Chen did not rush to refine it, instead, he consumed them and let the medicinal power flood his meridians, to be absorbed automatically.

In this way, regardless of whether he was refining pills or casting spells, his Spirit Power could always remain plentiful.

Moreover, the automatic Qi recovery function of the Longevity Technique was always in effect.

Luo Chen also wanted to test to see if his body’s Spirit Power being kept continuously full would passively purify the power.

In fact, sometimes Luo Chen also wonders.

What would happen if his embezzlement was discovered?

After much contemplation, Luo Chen came to a conclusion.

What could happen?

As long as it’s not too excessive, Mi Shuhua would probably turn a blind eye to such behavior.

It’s not like they could throw him in a dungeon, could they?

At most, they would give him a warning, then he would restrain himself a bit, resume his old ways after some time.
