Immortality begin with Alchemy Grandmaster

Chapter 119: Chapter 98: Top Grade Pill, Combat Power Soaring (5000-Word Chapter, Please Subscribe)_1

Upon returning to the stone house, Luo Chen looked at the golden elixir pinched between his thumb and index finger.

A tiny but very distinct cloud pattern, circled around the elixir.

Regarding elixirs, Luo Chen’s initial knowledge came from the immortal fate of his predecessor, the legacy of an old cultivator.

That old cultivator who died in a cave could not, in the strict sense, be considered a Great Sect disciple.

He hailed from Medicine King Realm rogue cultivators, and due to his passable pill refinement technique, was barely accepted as an external disciple of the Medicine King Sect.

His circumstances were quite similar to Fu Xiuxiu’s.

However, he failed to establish his foundation and did not receive the Foundation Establishment Chapter of the Evergreen Sutra from the Medicine King Sect.

After he grew old, he became an external disciple of the Medicine King Sect, handling various chores for the sect.

He ultimately died in a large cave in the Yuanzhao Kingdom.

The old man had a keen understanding of pill refinement, leaving Luo Chen the formulas for the Fasting Pill and the Allure Pill in addition to the Qi Refinement Chapter of the Longevity Technique.

As for why an External Sect Disciple of the Medicine King Sect would have a strange Strengthening Sun Pill Prototype, Luo Chen had no clue.

Later, as Luo Chen began selling elixirs in the rogue cultivators’ market after his transmigration, he gradually learned more elixir knowledge while chatting with the cultivators there.

Well, those people don’t know how to refine pills, but they are always choosy when buying things.

One conversation led to another, and he was able to extract some information.

His greatest gain undoubtedly was the ”Qingyuan Pill Explanation” given to him by Mi Shuhua.

This was a work of a Pill Refinement Grandmaster, a Foundation Establishment Cultivator who managed to refine a Third Order Pill.

Even now, Luo Chen is still studying the ”Qingyuan Pill Explanation” daily, finding it increasingly enlightening.

The various refining methods recorded in it have greatly benefited him.

The Breaking Jade Hand was a technique he recently mastered, which was very useful for dealing with ores.

But I digress.

Through these Dao of Alchemy knowledge, Luo Chen gradually understood the whole system of the Dao of Alchemy.

Like the grading of elixirs.

The spirit qi is abundant in this world, and resources are rich. Thus, the Great Dao laws manifest outwardly. Things that resonate with the Great Dao often bear corresponding Dao patterns.

Like the bone patterns of demon beasts, the elixir patterns in their cores, the annual rings of ancient trees, and markings on mysterious ores, and so on.

Surprisingly, even human-refined elixirs also have corresponding Dao patterns.

People call them elixir patterns, and because the patterns are as elusive as clouds, they are also known as cloud patterns.

The number of cloud patterns determines the grade of an elixir.

If there are no cloud patterns, then the elixir does not enter into any rank.

Why did Luo Chen’s Fasting Pill always get labeled as poor quality?

The reason is that there were no cloud patterns on the pill once it became stable, even if it was an Ascendant Grade Fasting Pill.

But this time, Luo Chen had leveled up his proficiency in making the Fasting Pill to the Finalization Level.

The elixir he has refined shows a trace of a cloud pattern.

Even though it’s just one trace, it signifies that it has entered into a rank.

”Let me try it out and see the medicinal effects,”

Luo Chen didn’t hesitate and swallowed the pill immediately.

He was sure about the things he made himself.

After swallowing it, a sense of fullness gradually came about.

The feeling was just like the laziness one feels after a meal.

”This medicinal strength?”

Luo Chen was a bit hesitant, rubbed his belly, and then became lost in thought.

”Compared to the Lower Grade Fasting Pill, its contained medicinal power has increased tenfold. Compared to the Ascendant Grade, it’s about three times.”

The Lower Grade Fasting Pill can ensure a cultivator won’t feel hungry for three days.

The Ascendant Grade Fasting Pill can support about ten days of normal activities.

But now this Top Grade Fasting Pill can make Luo Chen not feel hungry for a month.

”Previously, I used the Xuanyun Tripod to refine the Fasting Pill, with two sets of raw materials, should’ve yielded a hundred pills.”

”But in the end, I only got about fifty lop of paste and this one ranked pill.”

”In other words, it took an entire set of raw materials to get this one Top Grade Fasting Pill.”

Getting this answer, Luo Chen was somewhat dissatisfied.

Whether in terms of sales profit or internal energy conversion, it was a loss.

In view of this, even if the Fasting Pill reaches the Finalization Level, it cannot contribute a lot to his earning of cultivation resources.

Probably, the only benefit is, with this elixir, he wouldn’t need to frequently take other Fasting Pills during long periods of closed-door cultivation.

”The Top Grade Fasting Pill should compare favorably with the standard Lower Grade Fasting Elixir.”

With a sigh, the joy Luo Chen initially felt from achieving Finalization Level proficiency in one type of pill had somewhat faded.

That’s just how it is.

Some things in the world don’t always satisfy people.

Moreover, he was prepared.

After all, the Fasting Pill is in itself a no-rank elixir.

The fact that the system could raise it to First Order Lower Grade is already very remarkable.

Besides, didn’t it also provide an achievement point?

He glanced at the Attribute Panel, and the number of Achievement Points, now totaled up to 16, thanks to the Spirit Vision Technique levelled up to the Grandmaster Level, the Mountain Breaking Palm levelled up to Proficiency Level, and the Fasting Pill levelled up to Finalization Level.

The more Achievement Points Luo Chen had, the more secure he felt.

He would need a lot of Achievement Points to start other Pill formulas in the future.

While looking at his Achievement points, Luo Chen suddenly had an idea.

”If I refine a large amount of no-rank elixirs, learn some mundane martial arts, can I rake in Achievement Points? Then, directly unlock the Second Order Pill formula of the Blood Evil Qi Pill?”

Once he got this idea, Luo Chen couldn’t help but daydream.

But after a while, he metaphorically slapped himself.

What was he thinking?

Did he have lots of time?

He barely had enough time for his normal cultivation and pill refinement, let alone squeezing extra time to practice techniques and study Dao of Alchemy.
