Comprehension Ability: Creating and teaching the Dao in various worlds

Chapter 536: Chapter 23: Stepping into the Ninth Rank (End of the Volume, Please Subscribe)_2

So for caution’s sake, it was best to step into the Ninth Rank first.

After all, once he reached the Ninth Rank, there would be plenty of time.

“Fusion Rules…”

Lin Yuan sat cross-legged, earnestly and continuously trying.

He had already progressed the fusion of rules to 99 percent; the final step was just a leap away.

The Complete Space Rules were vast and endless. Even though Lin Yuan only controlled a facet of the true Space Rules, including the integration of the Taiji Rule and dozens of types of cosmic forces, including a source-level cosmic force, was more than enough.

...
Lin Yuan concentrated and kept trying to fuse the rules.

Fusion of rules wasn’t something that could be achieved in one go; it required repeated failures, eventually culminating in the discovery of the correct method of fusion.

Lin Yuan, having undergone numerous trials and aided by his Against-Heaven’s Understanding, quickly succeeded in the final fusion.

Buzz.

The power of the thoroughly fused Complete Space Rules, Taiji Rule, and dozens of cosmic forces materialized before Lin Yuan.

This power was far beyond the semi-fused power he had before, incredibly stable, emanating a soul-trembling aura fluctuation.

“All fused?”

Lin Yuan felt joy in his heart and immediately began to sense the numerous changes in himself after the fusion of the rules.

…

Complete fusion of rules wasn’t just about reaching the Ninth Rank but was the prerequisite for stepping into it.

Only with the new power derived from the fusion of rules could one transform the flesh, the soul, the spirit will, and the inner world.

Moving from the Eighth to the Ninth Rank was a gradual process, straightforward as long as the prerequisites were met, involving virtually no risk.

“Me now?”

Lin Yuan carefully sensed his own body. The power from the rule fusion rapidly spread throughout his body, infusing every inch of his flesh, soul, and spirit will…

“The biggest change… is still the inner world…”

A thought crossed Lin Yuan’s mind, and his consciousness incarnation descended into his inner world.

Whoosh.

Massive, ocean-like world forces churned.

Lin Yuan surveyed the vast expanse of over a hundred million miles, narrowing his eyes.

Compared to before the fusion of rules, the size of his inner world had hardly changed.

However, Lin Yuan clearly perceived that his inner world was undergoing some kind of sublime transition.

“Spatial Layers, the inner world has given birth to successive spatial layers!”

Lin Yuan muttered to himself softly.

The Main World Universe Starry Sky had nearly endless spatial layers, many of which harbored a great number of worlds like secret realms.

Spatial layers are the real depth of a world; the more layers there are, the deeper the world’s essence is, resembling a complex labyrinth.

Originally, Lin Yuan’s inner world had only the main space; even if it was vast, it appeared remarkably ‘thin.’

But now, this ‘thinness’ was being filled out.

“I can feel it, I’m starting to step into the Ninth Rank.”

As successive spatial layers were established in his inner world, Lin Yuan’s perceptions started to elevate.

“Normally speaking, an Eighth-Rank Peak Evolver who has completely fused with the rules needs several months to years, depending on the strength of the new power derived from the rules fusion.”

“The stronger the new power, the quicker the transformation, and the faster the step into the Ninth Rank will be.”

“I just fused the rules and have started stepping into the Ninth Rank. Is it because the power I gained from rule fusion is too strong?”

Lin Yuan thought to himself, not slowing down or suppressing his breakthrough, but rather letting nature accelerate the transformation.

“Can’t break through on the star.”

Lin Yuan’s figure disappeared from the Milky Way Main Star.

During the period of stepping into the Ninth Rank, as his inner world opened successive spatial layers, it would pull on the Great Universe. If Lin Yuan remained on the Milky Way Main Star, it could potentially impact the star itself.

The B-level modification on the main star couldn’t block the residual waves of a Ninth Rank Evolver’s breakthrough, especially since Lin Yuan was not just an ordinary Eighth to Ninth Rank breakthrough.

In terms of the inner world’s depth, the disturbance Lin Yuan would cause when breaking through to the Ninth Rank would be tens to hundreds of times greater than that of a normal Evolver.

Whoosh.

A desolate area in the Milky Way Star Region.

Lin Yuan’s figure appeared.

At that moment, he completely unleashed his suppressed aura, and his massive presence spread in all directions.

Within tens of millions of miles, hundreds of millions of miles, and even several light-years, all were affected.

Several hours later.

Lin Yuan’s surging presence began to gradually subside.

“Have I stepped into the Ninth Rank?”

Lin Yuan stood in the starry sky, somewhat astonished by his newfound strength.

“My power now is far greater than before the breakthrough…”

Lin Yuan once again sent a strand of will into his inner world.

“Developing tens of thousands of spatial layers… The initial Ninth Rank Evolvers recorded in human civilization only developed seven or eight layers…”

Lin Yuan thought to himself.

Setting aside the size of the inner world for a moment.

Just comparing the number of spatial layers.

A world with tens of thousands of spatial layers.

A world with only a few layers.

The latter will inevitably be overwhelmed by the former.

No, it’s not just overwhelming.

The two are not even on the same level.

The disparity in depth is too great.

“It’s a pity, whether it’s the incredibly ‘thin’ inner world built during the Eighth Rank or the inner world created at the Ninth or even Tenth Rank with substantial spatial layers, they all rely on the Main Universe because they lack an independent ‘Rule of Time’ to support them,”

Lin Yuan thought to himself.

Only by comprehending the Rule of Time and integrating it into the inner world, could such a world stand independent, capable of controlling the speed of time within.

Inner worlds without the integration of the Rule of Time rely on the Main Universe, conforming to the same pace of time as the Main Universe.
