Chapter 952 The Marine Folks’ Expedition: A Sacred Cave Out On The Thunderstorm Sea

”Marine folk troops?” Chu Yunfan felt this a little strange.

The Thunderstorm Sea was a forbidden area for the marine folks. They didnʼt dare to enter and leave as they pleased, even Divines were no exception.

”Thatʼs right. Marine folk troops.” Tang Siyu nodded with certainty. ”And there was more than one. Fortunately, the environment here is trubulent and visibility is low. They didnʼt spot us.

”I have a feeling that theyʼre up to something. Otherwise, they wouldnʼt risk coming here.”

Chu Yunfan thought for a moment and felt that what Tang Siyu said made a lot of sense. ”The marine folks have taken great risks by entering the Thunderstorm Sea. Theyʼre definitely not here for a vacation. Get into the Mountain River Diagram and wait for me. Iʼll go investigate.”

Tang Siyu nodded, then entered the diagram with the Thunder Winged Beast and Ebony Dragon King.

Chu Yunfan began to travel across the seaʼs surface like a bolt of lightning and shot deep into the depths of the Thunderstorm Sea.

In there, the thunder energy was much richer than outside. There were all kinds of lightning crisscrossing everywhere. There was no need to attract them. As long as one took a few steps, they would encounter all kinds of lightning that would strike their bodies.

In such a place, visibility was very low. Even Divines would be encumbered here. They could not go very deep into Thunderstorm Sea. If they were to go just a little further in, they would be completely destroyed by the endless thunder energy.

However, just as Tang Siyu said, when Chu Yunfan got further inside, he soon saw teams of marine tribe soldiers stationed there. The thunder energy, which was extremely terrifying to them, was bounced off by the charms on their bodies when it fell on them.

These charms glowed with a faint light that could block the thunder energy. They were a special charm known as the Thunder Repel Charm. It had been a very popular charm back in the Ancient Zenith Civilization.

Chu Yunfan could see that in addition to the marine folk troops that had taken on human forms, there were also many powerful marine monsters that had turned into liquid lightning.

They were all powerful beasts belonging to the marine folks.

Chu Yunfan felt this strange. The marine folks had a structure was somewhat similar to that of Infinite Demon Mountain, but there were some differences.

The marine folks, too, lived in groups of different races known as tribes, and Chu Yunfan could tell that there were at least several tribes in this troops that had taken human form.

To rule over so many tribes, the leader must be considered a large tribe. Ordinary tribes did not have such ability.

These marine folks had inexplicably entered the Thunderstorm Sea and had paid a considerable price for it. Just the Thunder Repel Charms alone were precious enough, but they were not permanent. Under the attack of such strong thunder, the charms would not last long and had to be replaced frequently.

The value of these items was quite high. This made it even more clear that the marine tribeʼs goal was not simple.

Fortunately, the endless thunder helped to conceal Chu Yunfanʼs whereabouts. He cultivated in the midst of the thunder while absorbing its energy. He was waiting for the marine army to make their move.

A day later, the marine army finally made a move.

A group of seven Divines who were around tier three or four were in the lead. This cultivation was not considered weak among the marine folks. However, these Divines surrounded a middle-aged man in his forties like stars surrounding the moon.

This man was covered in black scales and looked extremely mighty. He was brimming with killing intent. Even from afar, one could feel a terrifying sense of oppression.

ʼA tier six Divine!ʼ Chu Yunfan was able to instantly determine the manʼs strength.

With Chu Yunfanʼs current level of strength, ordinary fifth tier Divines were no match for him. He would be able to kill them in seconds. Even if he were to face tier six Divines, he would be able to protect himself.

Therefore, he wasnʼt too worried. However, the appearance of this expert made him vigilant.

A tier six Divine was considered one of the best in the Divine Abilities Stage. It was hard to say if there were any experts of such a level within the current human Federation.

In the past, the presidentʼs strength had definitely reached, or even surpassed, this level, but he was the only one who had done so. In his absence, a marine folk expert like this could turn the entire world upside down.

There was almost no one who could control them. As far as Chu Yunfan knew, no matter from which force they were from, experts of this level were often in secluded cultivation to complete breakthrough after breakthrough before their lives came to an end.

To bring them out of seclusion—other than a sudden major event—the matter at hand had to contain numerous benefits.

The black-armored middle-aged man waved his hand. Immediately, the entire marine army, which consisted of thousands, began to move. They headed toward the deepest part of the Thunderstorm Sea. The other Divines took the lead.

Chu Yunfan muttered to himself for a moment, then followed behind them. He hung back at a distance and they soon entered the deepest part of the Thunderstorm Sea.

In the deepest part, the thunder was as dense as a rainstorm. Even Chu Yunfan had to do concentrate on absorbing the thunder energy, not daring to be as distracted as he was before.

The marine army was also constantly changing the Thunder Repel Charms. Without these charms, this army of thousands would instantly be drowned.

Following behind this large army, Chu Yunfan finally understood what their goal was.

In this forbidden land within a forbidden land, a desperate land within a desperate land, there was a huge sacred cave, where it was said gods dwell, floating above the Thunderstorm Sea.

The endless thunder energy did not fall on the cave, but skirted around it.

A barrier surrounded the entire cave and a faint blue light could be seen flowing through the barrier as if it was also composed of thunder energy.

Chu Yunfan was also a little shocked. If it wasnʼt for someone leading the way, he probably would never have guessed that such a place existed out at sea.

He had been following this army for a full day and night through the Thunderstorm Sea. The environment of this place was harsh. Even for cultivators with high cultivation bases, it was difficult for them to move forward. Without a Divine to open up a path, even with the Thunder Repel Charm, they would not be able to walk through this place.

The consumption of Thunder Repel Charms was naturally extremely huge. If these items were to be auctioned off in the Federation, all the charms that had been consumed over the one day and one night would certainly have fetched at least tens of billions of yuan.

The reason the marine folks were willing to sacrifice tens of billions to enter this place was obviously clearly because of the sacred cave out on the Thunderstorm Sea.
