Forty Millenniums of Cultivation

When Yuri Aix arrived at the airport, a supersonic passenger plane in the silver color of the future designs was ready.

Other than the noises of the passenger planes, the entire airport was silent, as if it were empty. But with a closer look, one would notice that countless guards were lurking in the darkness like ghosts.

All the defenders had been informed that St. Petersburg had been attacked by a small group of rebels, and the shameful coup would soon be put to rest.

It didn’t matter even if he didn’t tell them. The four mind control towers at the four corners of the airport were enough to turn everyone in the airport into Yuri’s puppets.

“My teacher, the merciful father of all mankind.”

A young man in a grey coat with black hair and black eyes greeted him. He opened the door for Yuri Aix and bowed to him respectfully.

The young man had a face that was a combination of handsomeness and innocence. His skin that was as smooth as jade was overflowing with holiness at any time, making everyone who saw him involuntarily feel a sense of trust. Only when a few people looked carefully would they be able to find countless tiny wrinkles near his eye sockets, indicating that his age far exceeded his appearance. And those deep-buried eyes also contained countless things that far exceeded his ‘innocence’.

Although countless people addressed Yuri Aix as ‘master’, there were not many disciples who were acknowledged by Yuri. The young man was the youngest one who was most favored and trusted by Yuri.

His name was ‘Thousand Treasures Sea’.

On the surface, he was the leader of the ‘Earth Cleansing Water Group’, the leader of the ‘General Alliance of Red Cross Charities’, a civil rights campaigner who called for the reconciliation of the underground race and the radiation race, and a well-known entrepreneur, inventor, philanthropist, and rising star in politics.

But in secret, he was an important figure of the ‘Urey Group’. He was independent of the ‘Earth Reconstruction Committee’. Another tentacle of Yuri Aix was his trump card!

With the current situation, he could only rely on his last trump card to survive.

“The situation is out of our control. Somebody betrayed us.”

Yuri waved his hands at his beloved disciple and said straightforwardly, “Let’s go to the base of the Arctic Ocean first and find the traitors before we carry out the cruelest revenge. The ‘Earth Council’ cannot control the entire planet so quickly. We still have a lot of opportunities!

“Understood.”

Wan Zanghai helped Yuri board the plane. “The ultimate victory will be ours.”

“However, the glorious image that you spent twenty years building in front of the world is going to be ruined.

Yuri looked at his disciple. “Are you willing to?”

“Of course.”

Wan Zanghai smiled. None of the billions of wrinkles on the corners of his eyes were shaking. “It is all because of you that I am where I am today. For the ultimate… justice, I am willing to pay any price.

Yuri sniffed and walked to his room at the back of the cabin.

His supersonic stealth passenger jet was boosted by the technology of apocalypse. It was more advanced and luxurious than the ‘Air Force One’, the President’s ride before the Third World War, with spacious bedrooms and meeting rooms.

The battle of St. Petersburg had consumed too much of his energy. He was an old man more than a hundred years old after all. He could not bear such exhaustion and needed a good rest.

The boarding channel gradually separated from the plane. Wan Zanghai commanded the crew and the control tower to take off immediately.

Until this moment, everything was normal.

However, when Yuri put his hand on the door of the bedroom, his pupils suddenly constricted, and he stopped briefly.

CRACK!

In the blink of an eye, two iron hands wreathed in electric arcs broke the door from the inside and snatched at him. They were magnetic explosive infantry!

Huala!

The floor on either side of him was blown up by the plastic bombs, too. A team of elite Navy Seals jumped out!

Purple brightness blinked in the depths of Yuri’s eyes. Purple flames immediately wreathed him, which turned into sharp blades and pierced into the brains of the attackers. All the eyeballs of the attackers exploded, and their brains spurted out along their nostrils and ears.

However, a force of the same nature that was even stronger than himself knocked the hundred-year-old man to the ground.

“Ah!”

Yuri turned around, shock and fury flashing on his face. He roared like a caged animal, and the purple brightness deep inside his eyes suddenly intensified.

However, the young man’s brainwaves were ten times more vigorous than his. After only five seconds of stalemate, he seemed to have aged fifty years more than a hundred years. His eyes and brain were almost dried up. He vomited a mouthful of purple blood and collapsed to the ground.

There was still an innocent and pure smile on Wan Canghai’s face. He walked toward his professor unhurriedly.

When he passed by the body of a seal, he stopped and drew out the dagger.

The dagger was sharp, with the motto of the Navy Seals carved on it: “The only day to relax is yesterday!”

Wan Canghai stuck out the tip of his tongue and licked the words. Then he walked to his tutor with his dagger.

The two of them stared at each other, still engaged in a mental competition. Billions of streaks of purple brightness crossed and collided in their eyes. Very soon, Yuri completely collapsed. Blood was flowing out of his mouth, nose, eyes, and ears, and he was moaning like a dying old man.

“So it was you. It was you!”

Yuri stared at Wan Canghai with the most venomous eyes and roared in the most unbelievable voice, “Why did you betray me? What benefits did the ‘Earth Council’ offer you that you are willing to destroy the ‘Earth Reconstruction Committee’ and the cause that we built up so painstakingly?

“Manners, my dear professor. Watch your manners. You are a great man after all. You don’t have to behave so miserably even if you are desperate.

Wan Canghai’s smile grew wider and wider. He narrowed his eyes and took a deep breath, as if he were treating Yuri’s depression and fear as the best food. “Weren’t you the one who taught me all the tricks, schemes, and betrayals? Didn’t you say that betrayal is like breathing for people like us and that we should turn into our instincts in order to survive in this ugly world? Today, I have fulfilled your teachings and betrayed you. Is there anything wrong with that?”

“Stupid, stupid, unbelievably stupid!”

Yuri shivered, somewhat disappointed. “Betrayal requires benefits and timing. Right now, you have absolutely no reason to betray me. You are not worth betraying me at all!

“Right now, the entire Earth is under the banner of the ‘Earth Reconstruction Committee’ and enveloped in my infinite brilliance. You are my most beloved disciple. Whatever you want, I can give it to you. What benefits can you get by betraying me and joining a mediocre organization such as the ‘Earth Council’? Nothing!

“Power.”

Wan Canghai asked casually, “What about the highest authority?”

“Power? Supreme power? Haha. Hahahaha!”

Yuri burst into wild laughter like a dying crow. “I thought that you were a smart man. I didn’t know that you were so stupid! Wan Zanghai, I knew that you were ambitious and would never be willing to serve someone else, but I didn’t know that you were so impatient that you couldn’t even wait a few decades!

“Yes, as long as I’m here, you will never be able to hold the supreme power of the ‘Earth Reconstruction Committee’. But so what? I’m already more than a hundred and thirty years old. It’s impossible for me to live forever. Right now, you are still young, and it’s not a good time to seize the supreme power. You can wait. In ten to twenty years, thirty to forty years at most, I will hand over my entire career to you. Even if I don’t hand it over, it won’t be too late for you to choose to betray me then!”

“Right now, you want to gain the trust of the ‘Earth Council’ and the highest power by betraying me? Haha. Childish. Too childish. Even if you betray me, you are still marked by ‘Urey’. You will never stand out in the ‘Earth Council’ and climb to the top!

“Is that so?”

Wan Canghai’s face remained unchanged. “Dear teacher, please have some faith in your best disciple. As long as I want to, nothing can stop me. What can the useless people of the ‘Earth Council’ do?

“But it doesn’t make any sense!

Yuri’s eyes bulged, and he breathed heavily. “Even if you can get rid of the stain on your background and climb to the peak of the ‘Earth Council’ in the most difficult way, it will still take you thirty to forty years or even longer. What’s the difference between that and the route that I picked for you in the beginning? The former is more dangerous, longer, and more uncertain. The latter is almost certain. You are my best disciple. Nobody can replace you. The so-called power is no reason for betrayal at all!

“Yes, you saw through me.”

Wan Canghai continued smiling, but deep flames were burning deep inside his eyes. “I did not betray you for the ridiculous reason of ‘highest power’, but for an even more ancient, intense, and eternal reason—revenge.

“Revenge?”

Yuri was dazed for a long time. The veins on his neck and temples protruded out one by one. He could barely believe his ears. “This is more of a joke than ‘for power’. What grudge do you have against me that is worth you destroying everything we have?

“It was me. My clone discovered you in the hospital and helped you cover up and forge your legal identity. Otherwise, a deformed devil like you wouldn’t have been able to fool the ‘alliance’ at that time!

“I was the one who taught you how to develop the ‘Strength of Heart’ and made you one of the top ten super experts on Earth. I also gave you a lot of funding and technical support to establish the largest water purification company in the world!

“I was the one who painted you as a philanthropist, a civil rights warrior, and a world-renowned ‘Saint’!

“It was me. I personally fostered you and gave you everything you have today bit by bit. Moreover, during the entire process, I rarely tortured you, and I rarely made use of you. You are completely different from other disciples and experimental subjects!

“You are the most perfect work of art that I have ever created. You are a masterpiece that was bestowed upon me by the heavens. I could not bear to hurt you at all. Even if I did, it was for the purpose of training my ‘strength of the heart’. I simply gave you everything! If you betrayed me for your ‘power’, I could understand. But ‘revenge’? I don’t understand! I don’t know what grudge there is between us at all!”

“There is indeed nothing between us, but—”

Wan Zanghai bit the dagger and snapped his fingers.

The bloody cabin was immediately filled with brisk country music.

“In the heavenlike West Virginia

There was the Nando River in the Blue Ridge Mountains.

The creatures there were far away, older than the trees.

Younger than the mountains, growing like a breeze

“Take me home on the village road. That’s where I belong…”

There was confusion in Yuri’s eyes. He did not understand what Wan Zanghai meant.

“Do you remember ‘Jack Barret’?”

Wan Zanghai raised his dagger and stared at Yuri. He aimed the blade at the center of his professor’s eyebrow and said, “Former Navy Seal Raider, one of the first batch of experiment subjects of Camp X.

Turbid waves were popping up in Yuri’s confused eyes. He said uncertainly, “…Gold Teeth?”

“Yes, ‘Gold Tooth Barret’.”

Wan Canghai’s face was calm, but his voice was shivering. “I am taking revenge on you for what he suffered in Camp X.

The dagger spat purple flames. The motto of the Navy Seals was glittering.

“Wait, wait!”

Yuri was completely confused. “What does Big Gold Teeth have to do with you? Right. It seems that you’ve been on the run together in the desert for several days. You even stole my ‘mental notes’ from him. So what? You wouldn’t be willing to destroy everything and avenge him just for a few days, would you? The notes are mine. I’m your mentor! What is Big Gold Teeth anyway? Wan Zanghai, you’d better think carefully!”

“I’m sorry, professor. I’ve made up my mind. Everything has a price. I can and will pay the price for my revenge.”

In the brisk country music, the black-haired, black-eyed young man’s face bloomed with the innocence of a boy. He recalled a lot of things in a flash and laughed with tears in his eyes, “There’s one more thing. Teacher, you’ve been mispronouncing my name—I’m not called ‘Thousand Treasures Sea’.”

“What?”

Of course, Yuri knew that the young man in front of him was not the real Thousand Treasures Sea, but he did not understand why the young man brought it up at this moment. He asked subconsciously, “Who are you exactly?”

“I am the son of ‘Gold Tooth Barret’.”

The boy stabbed the dagger deep into Yuri Aix’s eyebrow and whispered in his ear, one word after another, “My name is Bai Xiaolu.”
