The Quantum Wanderer

The first place I go to is in front of Andrew’s, on the outside, this time.  I knock on the door, he opens.

“Yo! Kiddo!  How have you been.  Come on in.”

I get in, and he looks me top to bottom.

“Holy shit, kid.  What are you now?”

“Yeahhh…  One hundred and nine.”

“HOLLY MOLLY!!!  You passed me.  And I am pretty sure I wouldn’t be able to face you, with your tricks an all…  But…  Congratulations.  Be careful, don’t mention this to anyone.  I have heard, even around here, that things are boiling up everywhere.”

“Oh well.  Anyway, I was walking around the capital, and I saw something, I thought you might like.”

I hand him the little wood dragon.  He looks at it.

“It’s pretty, thanks.  FUCKFUCKFUCKFUCK.  IT WAS TRUE!  IT WAS YOU!”

“That depends, what was true?”

“There is this rumor around, that someone has been hunting dragons.  Dragons, plural.  They say that it is some ancient god that is walking the land, judging people.  Some people even think that it is the end of the world or something.  Some think that the dragons are going to get irate and destroy everything.  The shit is hitting the fan.”

“Well, I kind of wanted to level up?”

“Be careful, kiddo.  This kingdom is all sorts of messed up.  Just be really careful.”

“I will.”

He places the dragon on top of the mantel.

“Anyway, how have you been?  Please don’t tell me any secrets, I don’t want to hear.  I prefer the rumors.”

I tell him about the capital, the whole thing.  The chit chat is long, and my social battery is getting spent.  It is just early afternoon, though.

“By the way, do you know Leopold personally?  Like, are you his friend?”

“Yeah.”

“I have to pay him a visit, and I told him that I would let him know with my voice.  Let’s see if he is really busy?”

Andrew was almost smiling already.

“Yeeeeaaaah.”

I create a very small gate, about one inch wide, very close to the ceiling.  I try to listen, to check if he is not talking to someone.  He isn’t.  I take a look, and he is working.

Andrew yells, from the top of the lungs, “LEOPOLD!!!”

The guy gives a big jump, sword on his hand.  The chair flies.  And he is looking around.

I say, very softly, “up here.”

He looks up, and sees the gate.  Andrew laughs his ass off.

Leopold does the gesture, and create the sound proof.  Of course, it is not able to interrupt the gate spell, that operates on something way deeper.  It is like new virus, unless you study it, you can’t have a vaccine.

“I am sorry, that was Andrew.  He told me you guys know each other.”

“We do.  We go some way back.  Of course, you just *had* to know him, right?”

I just shrugged.

“Can I stop by?”

“Sure.”

I undo the portal, and create a proper on in his office.

“As you know, I was in the capital, I brought a little gift.”

I handed him the little dragon.

“Don’t you want to cut of its head before you hand it to me?”

I chuckled.

“Is there anything you need help with?” He asked.

“Not really, but I hope you guys know just how much messed up the capital is.  Even the guild, trying to recruit for the army.”

“The what for what?”

“Recruit for the army.  There are even rumors that adventurers are going to get conscripted, and the ones that don’t enlist now are going to get the worst part of the deal.”

“Wow.  That’s new, actually.  Thanks.”

“There are some other things as well, you guys should probably take a look.”

“Thanks, we will.”

…

…

“Ok, I will get going then.”

“Next time you pop up, you can help me mess up something for Andrew.  He owes me.”

“Sure.”

I thought that I should hand the hair pin to Alice, but I didn’t came from the door, it might look weird.  I hand it over to Leopold.

“Can you hand this to Alice?  I bought one for her and one for Cecilia, they both keep helping me a lot.”

“How much were these?  They seem expensive.”

“A couple of gold.”

“Listen to me.  Cecilia yes, Alice no.  Alice didn’t really went beyond her job. As opposed to Cecilia, that helped you get the rest of the reward for the goblin thing, right?”

“Yeahhh.  It makes sense, I guess.  Sure.”

“Poor Cecilia…” He mumbles.

“What?”

“Nothing.  Oh, talking about money, you should be able to get your money in another fortnight.”

“Alright, thanks.”

I pickup the hair pin back, and send it to the safe.

I open a portal near Frolk, and kind of go back home.

Once I get there, I register myself again.

“Hi, how are you?  How are thing?  Where were you?”

“I was at the capital, actually.”

“No you were not…  Come on, you can tell me…  Was it the red district in Orora?”

“What do you mean?”

“Even an adventurer is going to take 3 days running straight to the capital.  And I mean, without sleep.  It is a 9 day trip by cart.  You spent 7 out.  The numbers don’t match…  So tell me, where were you?  Who were you with?”

I really hadn’t paid attention to this detail.  Of course, when selling the dragons in the human realm I actually used this on my favor.  If someone said that I was the one selling the dragons, I had an alibi, I had a hole village of it.  And if I traveled normally, that trip would take me several months, almost a year.  But I think I let it slip right now.

“Well, that makes me a good runner, right?  I mean, I’m even a steel adventurer!” I said, with my chest out.  “I am a little tired of running, though.”

“Don’t try too hard, you might get hurt.  Boop.”  She booped me on the nose.  Of course I could have avoided it, but then I wouldn’t have been booped.

“What was that?”

“Nothing.  Boop.”

“Stoop.”

She laughed.  I was kind of getting used to this.  It was fun.

I went to the room, I ended up getting the same one.  Things of a guild that has no quests.  The other adventurers kind of go away.  And I made sure to do some culling around.  Just in case.  I probably should do one tomorrow.

I have my bath, and later go down for supper.

Cecilia bring in my stew, and hers.  While she is standing up, I turn to her.

“Hey, I brough you something.”

“What?  What?  You know I love… your… meat…”  And she makes this face, with her tongue going over her lips.  I must say, even if it is a joke, I breathed a little harder.

“This.”  And I give her the hair pin.

It’s a good thing that the guild is empty.  She starts jumping up and down, and starts looking at the hair pin.  She gets slower and stops jumping.

“This looks expensive…”

“Not really, don’t worry about it.”  I meant that.  Specially since I was about to receive several hundred platinum coins.  I was happy that something simple like that made her so happy.  I don’t know how she interpreted that, but she leaned down.  I thought she was going to tease me.  But she kissed me.

At first, our lips just touched.  It felt like she was afraid.  I kept my lips at the same place, I moved the chair back and hugged her.  She fell on my lap.  She placed her arms around my head, and we kissed, this time with passion.  I have to say, that waked me up.  In all the good places.  I had to fight all my instincts to go as tender as I could.  I don’t even know how strong I am, and at what level I might hurt her.  But I still kept kissing, her tongue inside my mouth.  I passed my hands over her breast, and grabbed it.  They were really nice, perky.

She got her face away for a minute.  Looked at my hand, still on her breast, looked at me and smiled.

“Now, now, behave, mister.  Let’s have supper first.”

She stood up, I tried to keep my hand on her breast as long as I could.  She got away, but she never took it out.

She sat on her chair.  I was hard, and breathing hard.  She took a spoon of the stew, and looked at me.

“Just one thing I want to make clear…  This is not because of the hair pin…  I mean, you do realize that I don’t talk to anyone else the way I talk to you right?”

“Errr…  Yes…?”

“How cute…”

She looked at me.  She took two deep breaths.

“So, how was your visit to the ‘capital’?”

As we ate, I told her about my trip to the colosseum the way the city looked.  I made it look as if I had only been a day there.

“You can piss on my face, but don’t tell me it’s raining.  If you don’t want to say, fine.  Men have their little secrets…  I will let you keep one or two as long as they don’t have female names…”  She looked at me mischievously.

We both laughed.

I don’t remember the last time I ate so fast.  She took her sweet time eating.  Drinking the ale.  She was doing the sexiest face with every spoon she took, every sip of ale.  She stood up, and took the bowls to the kitchen, moving her hips in a wide way.  I was following her.  She came back, and collected the mugs.

She washed the whole thing.  I was breathing hard.  She went to the guild’s door, closed and locked it.

“Yes, I think we are done for the day.”

She put her hand in front of her mouth, did this yawn thing.

“I think I am going to sleep now.  Good night, hero.”

I was focusing on myself, trying to calm down…  Inner peace.  Inner peace.  Inner peace.  Not working.  Dead puppies.  Dead puppies.  Still not working.

She lets out a giggle.  I look at her, and she jumps at me, gluing to me like a a little horny monkey to a tree.  I hug her, and we kiss.  I climb up the stairs and the key just doesn’t fit the key hole.  She is putting her breast out.  The key falls to the floor.  Instinctively, I make the key change to my hand, and put it on the lock, and turn it.  She is rubbing herself against me, still holding herself with her legs and arms.

I enter the room, kissing her neck.  I am holding her ass, she is biting my ear.  We kiss again.

The room is kind of dark, I didn’t have time to light any candle.  We get close to the bed, I get close and she lets go.  I remove her shoes and her pants.

Her panties are completely wet, and we are completely crazy.  I just lay on top of her, penetrate her.  She sticks her nails on my back with all her strength.  I move around, I try to massage her g-spot with my dick.  But can’t think of anything else at this moment.  Just this gorgeous girl underneath me, my dick inside hers.  I try to hold on a little bit.

I can feel that she is coming close as well.  I come.  She tells me not to stop.  My dick is still hard, so I just keep going.  A little more, and I feel that she is trying to scratch my back, and she bites me a little, close to my neck. I keep going, and swinging my dick inside her pussy.  She bites me just a little harder.  Then she tenses and lets it go.  I take my dick out of her pussy, it is a mess.  She wet my bed a little.

I do a little healing magic to avoid conception.

She is breathing hard.  I am calm, though my dick is still hard, as if looking to the ceiling.

She is laying, completely naked, on my bed.  She puts an arm over her eyes, the other is wide open.

“That was good!!  Mama likes it.”

“You almost gave blue balls down there.”

“What?  I almost gave you blue balls?  You have been blue balling me for weeks, mister.”

“So…  All of that wasn’t just a big joke?”

She uncovers her eyes, lifts her head, and looks at me.

“Oh. My.  Gods.”  And then she laughs.  A whole lot.

“Glad you’re having fun.”

She positions herself on the bed, and gestures me to lay there.

“Never stop being like that.”

I have my head on her shoulder.  She starts petting my head, absently.

I see her tits available, and start sucking on it…  She looks me with those mischievous eyes, and grabs my dick, that had not gone flaccid yet.

“Oh my, we have to check how much stamina it takes to be a hero…”

I start sucking on her tits, and go up to her neck.  I bite very lightly on her ear lobe, and I do a hot exhale on her ear.  Her hole arm gets goosebumps.  I start playing tenderly with her clit, moving it in a circular way.  She grabs my hand, and make me move my finger up and down on it.

She grabs my dick and plays with it.  She starts giving me a hand job, slows down, and plays with the head of my dick with her thumb, opening the head a little.  This is kind of uncomfortable, so I move her thumb off it, and she gets it.

I stick my middle finger inside her pussy, and start massaging her g-spot.  Her breathing starts to get accelerated.  She takes my hand, moves me and sits on top of me.  The she moves her hips, while grabbing her hair, her tits, and putting her head back.  I extend my right arm, and play with her nipples.  She starts moving faster.  I then place my left thumb on her clit.

She cums, almost screaming.  My dick is still hard, inside her, so she starts moving again, but this time she is going up and down.  A very short time later, I cum.

She gets moves out, and lays down.

We do it six more times, on all kinds of positions.  Dog style, with her laying on her side, some more conventional as well.

At some point, she just sucks me.  When I pull her up to get going, she takes my hand off, and continues giving me a blowjob until I come.

“Sorry hero, but your sidekick apparently can stay up longer than this barn.”

We both laughed, and spooned slept.

When I wake up the next day, she is already knocking at my door.

“Breakfast.”

I get dressed, and go down.

While I am going down the stairs, she is putting my bowl.  She has this smile on her face.

“Good morning, hero.”

“I told you, I am no hero.”

“Really?  Then what are you?”

I gesture her to sit.  I stand up, and pick my cape with a hood.  I put the cape one.  I take some distance, and start the monologue.  I always wanted to do this one.

“Hero?  You don’t want a hero.”

I take one step towards her.

“The hero would sacrifice you for the greater good.”

I kneel down in front of her, and I grab her hand.

“I would BURN THIS WORLD FOR YOU!”

She breaths hard.  She stands up, goes for the door, and locks it.  I am still on my knees, she grabs my hand and starts pulling me towards the stairs.

“What are you doing?”

“I WANT SOME BURNING, RIGHT NOW!”

We go up the stairs, she jumps me.  I she is tugged into me, like a koala on a tree.  I start to go to my room.  She points at her door, with us still kissing.

“Noumm,  my oom…”

I get to her room, her door is open.

My eyes catch the flicker of amber light glinting off Cecilia’s lips as they graze your collarbone. My gaze locks onto your hands fisting the sheets, knuckles white as she straddles you.  My view narrows to her flushed face—chest heaving, pupils blown—as I bite her neck. A drop of sweat slides down her throat.  I throw her to the bed, gently.

Our breaths are ragged. My focus shifts to my palm taking off her guild uniform, having to hold myself not to just tear the whole thing open.  She jerks your hand between her thighs. My dick drowns in the slick shine coating her inner legs.

I thrust in. My view blurs—her head slams back, mouth gasping “YES” as her walls clamp around me. My angle tilts downward: my balls slapping her ass, her juices soaking the base of my shaft.

The bed shakes with each piston of my hips. Her nails rake your back. I have her nipple between my teeth, I smack her ass cheek—a crimson handprint blooms.

Cecilia’s back is arched like a bow.  She screams.

“Fill me! Please—!”

I look down: her pussy stretched wide, my cock glistening with her cum. Pulse after pulse as I explode inside her.

We fuck the morning away.  After she is tired, and apparently a little sore, she looks at me and says, “You can go burn now.”

And we laugh.

I apply her some healing magic, both to remove the sore, and to avoid conception.  I apply some healing on my balls, and I do myself a vasectomy.  I can always reverse it later, specially in this universe.  I should probably be cautious on the next month, though.

She is lying down on her bed her bed, looking at the ceiling.  And she is smiling.  I am looking at her.

“What?”

“Well, I never imagined I would lead such an easy life, ever.  I am probably better off than the queen.”

“What do you mean?”

“How many people have you seen in the guild lately?  Most people that come up are some farmers, just to have a cup of ale.  Tourism is not really a big thing around here.  There are no jobs for adventurers…  Actually, what are you doing here?”

“I like it here, so I just kept… Staying.  Anyway, you were saying…?”

“Then this week, the guild master from Orora visited.  Have you ever met the guy?  He is really weird.  Fruity.  I don’t understand why they placed someone so weak to lead a city guild.  But as I was saying, he came here.  It was really funny, seeing that ornate carriage in the middle of nowhere.  The farmers even got scared, they thought that a noble would try to whisk me away or something.”

“And…  What did he want?”

“I thought that he was coming to close this branch, actually.  Once he entered, I asked him if I was going to get sacked or moved to another guild.”

“What did he say?”

“He said that he needed all these branches, to help keep the world safe.  Can you imagine that?  Hahaha.  How is this useless branch without quests or adventurers, no offense, going to do anything?”

“Ha.  Yes, imagine that.”

In the afternoon, I decided to take a look at the forest, to check if there were any beasts coming close…  After the forest, I am going to visit Leopold to understand a couple of things.

I see a pack of 10 hard leather wolfs, that I dispatch quickly.  I store them in my magic bag.  And that makes me remember the black birds.  I decide to give them a visit.  I open a portal, and go there.

I wander a little bit around the forest, and this time there is a group of only 5 that come my way, the rest seems a little scared.  I drop the  wolf on the ground, and open his skin on one side, so that those buggers can eat it without having to punch through the tough leather.  Then I throw the carcass towards them.

They start eating the wolf.  This kind of scene no longer affects me at all.  I think that I am finally becoming a native to this world.

I sit down, by a tree, and watch as they eat.

As always, there is that one that comes closer, and stares at me after eating.

And then the funniest thing happens, it flies up and perches on my shoulder.  I pet his chest,  it stretches his beak up, so that I have more area to pet it.  It is fluffy, my fingers disappear underneath the feathers.  I would think that they would smell bad, but that was not the case.  It doesn’t smell of flowers, of course, but it almost had no smell.

Ok, this was fun, time to have a couple of things ironed out with Leopold.  I tell the actually not so little guy on my shoulder that now I have to go.  He caws, but he doesn’t move.  I try to choo him, but he leaves one shoulder and moves to another.  Really?  Does it have to do that now?  I just relax and open a little portal to Leopold’s office, to check if he has company or not.  He is alone, great.  I open a normal sized portal, right in front of the table and step through.

He is standing up, sword in hand, looking at me.  Then he relaxes, moves his hand and does the silent proofing thing.

“Didn’t you say you were going to call me first?  And what is that?  Did you buy a crow…?”

“Well, we need to talk.  Don’t mind the little guy.”

“Just a second.”

The crow cawed towards Leopold.  He realized something, and went to his bookcase.  He started looking for a book, and found it.  He started looking for a page.  He found it, and showed it to me.  It was the picture of a man, with a crow on each shoulder.  Wrax, the god of death.  Apparently he used the crows to find his victims, whose soul he would bring to the underworld.  That was dark.

I just closed the book and handed it back.

“Anyway, as I was saying, we have to talk.”

“Sure, shoot.”

“What is the deal with Cecilia?  Are you guys whoring her out to me?”

“I don’t appreciate your tone.  That girl is my friend.  Sit.  The fuck.  Down.”

I sit down on the chair, and he sits as well.  The crow on my shoulder takes flight, and lands on top of the window, getting a view of Leopold’s back of the neck.  I can see he is not totally comfortable with that.

“First of all, the girl has feeling for you.  For real.  I don’t understand how you took so long to see that.

“Second, there are several people interested in that romance, for several different reasons.  She is not aware of any of them.  I am interested because, right now, there is no safer place on this world than that guild branch.  Heck, if the demons win the war tomorrow, I would move there.  If I were to choose a guy for my sister, it might as well be you.  You are much calmer than the absolute majority of adventurers.  I hope you don’t become an asshole, as it generally happens.  Most mithril are assholes, don’t get me started on the adamantite.   Everything comes way too easy.  You, thank the gods, seem to have a good head on your shoulders.  Also, thank the gods I don’t have a sister.

“The only other people aware are the top echelon of the guild.  They have a more rational thinking, that keeping you happy is good.  You having a tantrum, bad.  So that sums it up.”

“Anyone else involved on this?”

“Nope.”

I deflated.  Who could be angry with this logic?  The crows flew down, and landed between me and Leopold.

“Quite the guy you got there.  Did you tame him?  Is it a him?”

“Well, I didn’t look.  I think he adopted me, actually.”

I started petting it.  Leopold put his hand close, but received a bite.

“So, are we good here, Wrax?”

“Yeah, thanks.”

I opened up a portal to the forest outside Frolk, and went to the guild.  With the crow on my shoulder.

As I am getting closer, I see Cecilia across the door, looking really puzzled.

“Really?  How did you get a crow?”

“It just happened.”

“You do know that pets are not allowed here, right?”

I made a sad face.  She didn’t budge.  I tapped the crow’s foot, it looked at me and lowered its head, also making a sad face.

“Fuck.  Fucketty fuck fuck.  Ok, keep your pet.  But you take care that it doesn’t messes things up.”

“Sure.”

“Or I will have you both expelled.”

“Don’t worry, I promise we are going to behave…”  I said in a jokingly child voice.

She entered the guild, muttering “shit shit shit”.

The next couple of weeks were too slow and too fast.  I taught the farmers to feed Muninn.  Yes, that’s the name I gave the crow.  At least very different from ‘Death’ and ‘Rebirth’, that were the names of Wrax’s crows.

The farmers started to sympathize even more with Muninn once he found a couple of rings or stuff like that that the farmers had lost.  He would bring them to me, and I would put them in a box.  Cecilia would go around and check who that belonged to.
