Witch: Accumulate Experience Through The Knight Breathing Technique

Chapter 2892: Chapter 588: The Dragon of Time! Traces of the Supremes!

”Little one, what are you looking at?”

With just a few words, Levi was jolted awake as if electrified.

He looked towards the Small Stone Pond, his pupils constricting, as a dreamlike river wound and flowed before him, with a solitary island standing tall amidst the waves.

On the island stood a castle, exactly like the one he had just seen during the birth of the simulated universe, and the gates of the castle were slowly opening.

A gracefully built, semi-transparent giant dragon with shimmering bubble-like gloss stepped forward, landing in the void, its wings folded.

Levi had never seen such a creature, but he knew it was the legendary Time Dragon!

The foremost of the Five Legendary Dragon Species.

The most mysterious among the Dragon Clan and beings in this world.

It’s said to have the power to control time.

And now it appeared before Levi.

All because Levi glanced at that castle.

It was merely an illusory manifestation of his Chaos Holy Soul.

An image from the past.

”Greetings, Dragon Senior,” Levi said solemnly.

”No need to call me Senior, that’s a term used in your civilized society; I’m not senior enough for you, just call me the Time Dragon or, if you must speak respectfully, ’sir’. Common courtesies mean nothing to me.”

”Understood, was I presumptuous to peek and disturb you?”

”It’s not a disturbance, I just sensed your gaze. Since ancient times, those who can see my existence are very few.”

The Time Dragon’s voice, like its eyes, was deep and magnetic, reminding Levi of the black actor Morgan Freeman who frequently played God in his previous life.

”I didn’t mean to stare at you.”

”I know.”

”To be honest, if I hadn’t heard about you from a friend, I would’ve thought the Time Dragon was merely an abstract concept and not real.”

”You’re referring to the Little Ash Dragon?”

”Yes.”

”I did chat with it about some things. But you’re not wrong; in a sense, I do not exist. I am an abstract concept.”

”Then why did I see you?”

”Because I wanted to manifest before you; otherwise, you wouldn’t see me. But due to the uniqueness of your Chaos Soul, you unintentionally glimpsed the mysteries of cosmic evolution. When you looked at the Time Castle, I noticed.”

”I see, may I ask, are you an incarnation of the River of Time, Senior?”

Since they encountered each other and the other showed no hostility, Levi’s curiosity pushed him to ask.

”I am not. The River of Time does not need an incarnation. It’s omnipresent, a part of the universe, the universe itself; it has no will, supremely impartial... You saw the ring representing time. When it exploded, it gained another form of continuation, true eternal life.”

”What is this Time Castle then?”

”It’s the only tangible trace it left in the universe.”

”Beings from the Multidimensional Plane, including us wizards, often rank you, Senior, first among the Five Legendary Dragon Species. Are you part of the Dragon Clan?”

The Time Dragon nodded.

It coiled and lay down, seeming to have much to say.

After a moment of thought, it began to speak:

”Yes, the Time Dragon is part of the Dragon Clan. Within a space-time node, there can only be one Time Dragon, just like the Void Dragon.

The other three Legendary Dragon Species are the same.

They’re conceptually materialized dragon clans with absolute uniqueness, with a new legendary dragon species appearing only if one falls.

I was born in the Ancient Era, naturally wielding part of the power of time, growing stronger as I matured. Until one day, I saw the River of Time and could travel within it.

I went to the past, went to the future, merging all the Time Dragons across the timeline within myself, breaking the mythic shackles, and ascending to the supreme position.

Since then, I have been the only Time Dragon of past and future.

Do you know? Whether it’s the Star Ancestor or the Abyss, the existing supreme existences can’t do anything to me. Though they’ve tried countless times to eliminate me, I evaded them easily.

But I can’t do anything to them either.

Since ascending to the supreme status, though I can easily traverse space-time, seeing everything in the past and future, yet I can do nothing.

It’s as if I’m a creature trapped between two glass walls.

I’m terribly bored; you can’t imagine how bored I am.

A life where nothing can be changed—what’s the meaning of living?

Unfortunately, I can’t even commit suicide.

Because I am the eternally unique Time Dragon.

Until one day.

I found this castle at the bottom of the River of Time.

Inside the castle were a blank book and a quill.

This was an empty ”Age History Book.”

I finally understood my purpose.

It’s to observe, to record everything along the River of Time, to preserve it objectively. I traced upwards along the river from the Primordial Era.

Darkness, Abyss, Underworld, Nightmare, the astral world... These major events that profoundly influence future patterns, including the timelines of those primordial existences’ remains—where do they fall? I know them all, would you like to know?”

Levi heard this and shook his head in silence.

”I want to, but I know it’s something I shouldn’t know, or rather, something I should seek myself; otherwise, there will be consequences I can’t bear.”

The Time Dragon laughed:

”You’re very clever, I once asked Sauron a similar question, and his answer was much like yours. Are you curious about your own future? Do you want to know if Nora succeeded?”
