Villainous Cao Cao: Inheriting Everything from the Chosen One

173: Become Cao Bu’s servantBai Meier was stunned, unable to believe her ears: ”You are not going to kill me?”

”I am only asking you, do you want to live?” Yan Ruyu did not answer, but asked again instead.

Bai Meier pondered for a moment and nodded heavily.

”Come on, do you want to plant a Restriction to control me?”

As she spoke, she voluntarily opened her mind, waiting for Yan Ruyu to make a move.

As long as she could live, it was better than being dead.

Yan Ruyu shook her head: ”No need. With your level of cultivation, you are not worthy of being my servant.”

”Then what on earth do you mean?” Bai Meier was completely confused and looked at her in bewilderment.

Yan Ruyu said seriously: ”The most valuable thing about you is the energy within your body.”

”So…” As she spoke, she took out a scroll from her storage ring, displayed it in front of Bai Meier, and pointed to the man in the painting: ”From now on, he is your Revered Master. Come, call out ’Revered Master’.”

Bai Meier looked down at the portrait, her pupils dilated instantly, and she blurted out: ”Isn’t this Clan Chief Cao?”

Yan Ruyu nodded and urged: ”Correct. From now on, you are my Revered Master’s exclusive resource. Hurry, call him Revered Master.”

”Him? Clan Chief Cao? He is your Revered Master?”

Bai Meier’s eyes were full of disbelief as she looked at Yan Ruyu.

Did she hear that correctly?

That Prodigy of the Jade Maiden Sect, Yan Ruyu, who once made a name for herself in the Sword Province, had actually become Clan Chief Cao’s servant?

She couldn’t help but examine Yan Ruyu carefully, and soon she noticed something wrong.

The youthful innocence of a young girl had faded from Yan Ruyu, replaced by the mature and charming air of a young married woman.

To have such a temperament at such a young age, there was only one possibility: she was living exceptionally well.

”Are you already Clan Chief Cao’s woman?” Bai Meier couldn’t help but blurt out.

”That’s right!” Yan Ruyu did not hide it at all. Anyway, Bai Meier could not escape, and sooner or later she would become the Revered Master’s exclusive resource, so admitting it or not was no longer important.

Bai Meier was slightly surprised.

She thought Yan Ruyu would cover it up, since she was once the high and mighty Saintess of the Jade Maiden Sect, and becoming someone else’s servant now seemed like a shameful thing, yet Yan Ruyu admitted it so openly.

She asked subconsciously: ”Then how does Clan Chief Cao treat you?”

Yan Ruyu did not answer, but urged instead: ”Don’t change the subject, hurry and call him Revered Master.”

Bai Meier looked troubled: ”I am naturally willing to receive guidance from Clan Chief Cao, but can I not call him Revered Master?”

She had just arrived at the Gu Clan today and heard about Cao Bu defeating Mo Lei in one move.

She already admired Cao Bu, and now that she knew Cao Bu had outstanding abilities, her heart naturally stirred.

But making her call Cao Bu’s portrait ’Revered Master’ was still somewhat difficult to say.

Yan Ruyu’s eyes turned cold. She flipped her wrist, and her long sword vanished, replaced by a black long whip shimmering with cold light.

The tip of the whip cut through the air, emitting a crisp, sharp sound.

”What? You don’t want to be the Revered Master’s attendant, do you want to be his Dao Companion instead?”

”Naturally!” Bai Meier raised her head, her eyes firm: ”If one could become a Dao Companion, who would be willing to be a slave or servant?”

”Crack!”

The long whip broke through the air and landed heavily on Bai Meier’s arm.

A bright red whip mark appeared instantly, and a burning pain spread along her skin, causing Bai Meier to gasp in pain.

”Yan Ruyu, have you gone mad!” Bai Meier shouted angrily: ”What is wrong with me wanting to be Clan Chief Cao’s Dao Companion? You cannot force me to be a servant just because you are Clan Chief Cao’s servant!”

”I am only asking you, will you call him Revered Master or not.” Yan Ruyu ignored her anger, raised the long whip again, her eyes frosty.

Bai Meier stiffened her neck and turned her head away stubbornly: ”If you want to be a servant, be one yourself; I certainly won’t!”

”Fine, you said it yourself.” Yan Ruyu no longer held back, and the long whip fell repeatedly, each strike carrying immense force: ”Will you call him Revered Master or not?”

”I won’t! Even if I die, I won’t!” Bai Meier gritted her teeth, refusing to give in even though she was shivering from pain.

Cries of pain immediately rang out continuously in the forest. Bai Meier’s clothes were whipped into tatters, and her body was covered in crisscrossing whip marks, yet she refused to yield.

Although Yan Ruyu did not use lethal force, the strength behind her strikes was not light.

She did not intend to kill Bai Meier, but a lesson was inevitable, which could also be considered venting some anger for the deceased Disciples of the Jade Maiden Sect.

As for the real vengeance, she would make the entire Hehuan Sect and Bai Meier’s Revered Master pay with their lives.

At this very moment.

On the high platform of the Gu Clan square, Cao Bu withdrew his Divine Sense, which had been probing into the forest. The corners of his mouth curled up slightly, and a hint of anticipation appeared on his face.

He had already seen Bai Meier’s situation clearly through his Divine Sense.

He hadn’t expected this Hehuan Sect Saintess to be pure, and the energy within her body was so refined; for him, this was simply an unexpected delight.

As for Bai Meier being punished by Yan Ruyu, Cao Bu was not worried.

He believed Yan Ruyu knew her limits. As long as it didn’t endanger her life or leave any hidden dangers, a little punishment would actually make Bai Meier understand the rules better.

Time passed second by second in Cao Bu’s anticipation. When he had nothing to do, he would use his Divine Sense to observe the scene of Yan Ruyu punishing Bai Meier.

It had to be said that Yan Ruyu’s methods of punishment were quite effective.

Using both soft and hard tactics, she made Bai Meier, who was initially stubborn and resistant, gradually begin to waver.

By the tenth day, Bai Meier finally gave in and whispered ’Revered Master’.

But even so, Yan Ruyu did not stop the whipping.

She wanted to make Bai Meier completely understand that she was only the Revered Master’s exclusive resource and had no qualification to resist.

Seeing this, Bai Meier could only resign herself to her fate and let her do as she pleased.

In the blink of an eye, a month passed.

The first stage of the Heavenly Pride Battle officially ended.

Of the 540,000 people who originally entered the arena, only 400,000 successfully came out.

Because Yan Ruyu and Bai Meier were busy with discipline and resistance, they didn’t get a single point and naturally didn’t make it into the top 10,000.

Three days later, the resurrection round also came to an end.

A total of 11,000 people successfully advanced to the second round of the competition.

In this point ranking, Lin Dong, the son of destiny, firmly held the first place with 1.8 million points.

Lin Rou also had 300,000 points, successfully entering the top 1,000.

It was just that her heart seemed to no longer be in the competition; she killed Yao Beasts if she encountered them, and didn’t regret it if she didn’t.

Cao Bu naturally understood that Lin Rou’s mind was entirely on him.

As for Chu Hao and his prospective wife Ye Lingxi, both obtained over 1 million points, successfully squeezing into the top 20.

Mo Lei’s sister, Mo Yu, even rushed into the top 10 with 1.5 million points, showing amazing potential, which gave Cao Bu the idea of cultivating her.

On the Gu Clan martial arts square.

Cao Bu stood on the high platform, his gaze sweeping over the dense crowd below, and he said loudly: ”Everyone, the first stage of the Heavenly Pride Battle has ended. The second stage of the competition will be held in three days.”

”During these three days, everyone can rest at Yingke Peak, or you can stroll around the four cities of my Gu Clan: Azure Dragon City, White Tiger City, Vermilion Bird City, and Black Tortoise City.”

”In addition, an auction will be held in Azure Dragon City in two days. You can also go and take a look; you might be able to find treasures suitable for yourself, use them to make a Breakthrough in your cultivation, and thus achieve a better ranking in the finals of the Heavenly Pride Battle.”

After saying this, Cao Bu’s gaze swept toward a corner below, filled with a hint of anticipation, and he turned and left.

In the corner of the square, Yan Ruyu pushed Bai Meier beside her and urged: ”Hurry, let’s go. Today, let the Revered Master witness your sincerity.”
