Chapter 2701: Chapter 2704: Unfathomable Backing (Powerful Bonus Update 2)

Standing beside Lin Jiang and the others was a young man dressed in combat attire, at the Void Refinement Realm.

This realm was nothing to them, these battle generals, but importantly, the young man wore the uniform of a Canghai Trade Alliance guard, not someone they could afford to provoke.

The young man glanced at Lin Jiang, then turned to Yan Li: ”Are you Senior Yan Li?”

”I am.”

Yan Li looked suspiciously at the young man, while Wang Han and the others showed expressions of surprise.

”Young Master Jiang asked me to convey a message to Senior Yan Li. He has become involved in the struggle over the heir of our alliance and is worried it might bring trouble to you, so he did not meet with you in person. He hopes for your understanding!”

The young man cupped his fists towards Yan Li.

Yan Li was momentarily stunned upon hearing this, his eyes showing a hint of relief.

Wang Han breathed a sigh of relief, giving Lin Jiang a provocative look.

Lin Jiang’s expression darkened slightly; he had just said Jiang Chen looked down on Yan Li and Wind Thunder Valley, but unexpectedly, he was immediately contradicted!

”Please convey to Mr Jiang that Wind Thunder Valley fears no forces; if needed, just let us know!”

Yan Li cupped his fists towards the young man.

”It seems Young Master Jiang did not misjudge you.”

The young man smiled slightly, with a satisfied look in his eyes.

Yan Li was taken aback, a bit puzzled.

”Young Master Jiang said that if Senior Yan Li stated Wind Thunder Valley was willing to act, then he asks Wind Thunder Valley to help with a matter — something all forces on the Abandoned Plains desire to do, a matter that could make Wind Thunder Valley the most prestigious force on the Abandoned Plains.”

The young man spoke with a light smile, glancing at Lin Jiang: ”And in this matter, no one dares interfere or sabotage, or they will become the common enemy of many forces on the Abandoned Plains!”

Lin Jiang’s expression changed, his brow slightly furrowed, and Wang Han and the others also looked suspicious.

”Please elaborate.”

Yan Li’s expression turned serious; such words were quite significant — what could possibly make Wind Thunder Valley the most prestigious force on the Abandoned Plains?

”Young Master Jiang said that because some people broke the rules and attempted to ambush him, his mentor, and several Canglan Army experts have rushed to the Eastern Region to eliminate the Above Saint experts of the four major forces: Spirit Sword Sect, Yuanling Sect, Qingyang Sect, and the Zhou Family of the Lieyang Domain. Senior Yan Li is to return to the Abandoned Plains, rally the enemies of these four forces, and wipe out their Below the Saint members.”

The young man spoke calmly, adding a reminder: ”Young Master Jiang instructed, during the revenge, do not break the rules. Above Saint experts must not attack those of lower realms; however, Semi-Saints may act. Young Master Jiang specifically asked Senior Yan Li to inform someone named Old Xue that his great vengeance can now be realized and he will no longer be confined to the Abandoned Plains!”

”What?!”

”Canglan Army experts eliminate...”

”Damn, aren’t those four major forces doomed?!”

Yan Li and others cried out, attracting frequent glances from those around.

”Young man, is this true? It’s not that I don’t trust Mr Jiang, but this matter is significant. Those forces are all first-rate, this...”

Yan Li’s expression was intense, speaking urgently.

The young man smiled slightly: ”Rest assured, Senior Yan Li, the news will spread soon. Young Master Jiang merely wishes to give everyone a chance for personal revenge and to enhance the prestige of Wind Thunder Valley, as a token of appreciation for the valley’s past kindness.”

After a pause, the young man cupped his fists again: ”This was the last message from Young Master Jiang. The message delivered, I shall take my leave!”

As soon as he finished speaking, the young man turned and left.

”Is this, is this true? Can we really avenge ourselves? I’ve long wanted to raid the Zhou Family!”

Wang Han spoke excitedly.

”Jiang Chen.”

Suddenly, a battle general beside them called out softly.

Everyone looked up to see a young man in white standing at the entrance of the third-floor room.

Seeing everyone’s gaze, the young man in white cupped his fists, smiled slightly, then turned back into the room.

Jiang Chen did not intend to engage with them; they were, after all, people of the Abandoned Plains. If Pang Lie targeted them, it would be all too easy. Just inform their enemies, and these people might never return to the Abandoned Plains!

”Apologies everyone, Wind Thunder Valley will not participate in this auction!”

Yan Li’s eyes were filled with excitement as he cupped his fists towards everyone, then turned and headed to the auction hall entrance.

”I won’t participate either!”

Wang Han echoed, quickly following suit.

”Why bother participating, they won’t get any good items. What’s needed has been exchanged, there’s no need to join in this excitement; a greater thrill awaits us!”

A battle general, full of passion, also turned and left.

In the blink of an eye, all the battle generals left, even Lin Jiang, who had been at odds with Jiang Chen and his group, was full of excitement.

People on the Abandoned Plains were generally targeted and wanted by major forces, with everyone in the eight strongholds having enemies outside. The major forces like Spirit Sword Sect were top-tier within the inner ring of the Eastern Region, causing many to flee into the Abandoned Plains; each stronghold contained quite a few such people, as small forces couldn’t drive people to the Abandoned Plains.

At this moment, all the battle generals thought of their enemies, of those in their strongholds who had enmities with forces like Spirit Sword Sect, and all were hastily rushing back.

Those driven to the Abandoned Plains were all people who relished in seeking vengeance. Given the chance to exact revenge personally, no one would pass it up.

Additionally, the battle generals understood that Wind Thunder Valley’s reputation was set to skyrocket, potentially becoming the top force on the Abandoned Plains. After this event, many more strong individuals were likely to join Wind Thunder Valley, just for the chance of personal revenge.

Everyone also knew that this credit could not be taken from Wind Thunder Valley; Jiang Chen had pointed out that his mentor was in the eliminations team for this very reason.

People of Wind Thunder Valley could leverage their relationship with Jiang Chen to connect with his mentor, ensuring they wouldn’t clash with the Above Saint experts hunting team, something other forces couldn’t achieve!

At this moment, the battle generals from several strongholds were racing toward Canglan City, filled with regret. Why hadn’t they befriended Jiang Chen when he was in the Abandoned Plains? If their forces had fully supported him, would Wind Thunder Valley have become their own stronghold today?

The young man, once fresh out of Changlin Academy for training, although his strength still remained in the Divine Infant Realm, had connections terrifying enough to make one tremble!

Daring to participate in the Canghai Trade Alliance heir competition spoke volumes of his confidence, and knowing of the actions of Canglan Army experts was even more unimaginable, as their movements were top secret, even the action participants couldn’t disclose it.

The more they thought about it, the more the battle generals felt Jiang Chen’s backing was unfathomable!

PS: Apologies once again, but today was meant to be thrilling! I hope everyone enjoyed it...
