Chapter 338: Chapter 338 Surprise Attack_1

”Jiang Chen!”

Lin Zhiyan got out of the car and came to Jiang Chen’s side.

Jiang Chen glanced around and asked in confusion, ”Where are they?”

”There were people just now, but it seems like there’s no one around now!” Lin Zhiyan said softly.

Jiang Chen was momentarily speechless, feeling that Lin Zhiyan was teasing him. He gave Lin Zhiyan a look and said impatiently, ”Are you itching for trouble? Do you want to go to the clinic to work as a nurse again? How many days has it been since you last went?”

”I...” Lin Zhiyan glared at Jiang Chen, feeling a bit guilty; she indeed hadn’t seriously worked at Su Qingqing’s clinic for quite some time.

”Alright, get in the car. I’ll take you home first!” Jiang Chen called out to Lin Zhiyan and turned to enter the driver’s side of the Lamborghini.

Lin Zhiyan glared at Jiang Chen huffily and sat in the passenger seat.

Starting the car, Jiang Chen drove towards Lin Zhiyan’s home.

”Jiang Chen, tell me, how can I avoid going to work as a nurse!” Lin Zhiyan thought for a moment, turned her head to look at Jiang Chen; she didn’t want to be teased by Jiang Chen with this matter every time they met.

Jiang Chen smiled slightly, ”How can you? If I say...”

Suddenly, Jiang Chen’s expression changed, and he grabbed Lin Zhiyan, pulling her over. He pressed her head onto his legs.

Lin Zhiyan was instantly stunned!

She was being pressed against Jiang Chen’s legs in this position...

What did he want her to do? Could it be...

Scoundrel!

”You pervert, scoundrel, let me go!” Lin Zhiyan became furiously embarrassed, shouting and beginning to struggle.

Jiang Chen furrowed his brows, driving with one hand, and firmly pressed Lin Zhiyan’s head with the other, barking, ”Don’t move!”

”You scoundrel! I won’t give in to you... Dammit, I didn’t expect you to be this kind of person. Let me go now, I...” Lin Zhiyan struggled even more fiercely.

”Crack—”

Suddenly a crisp crack sounded, the passenger side window shattered, and outside, a man riding a motorcycle thrust a longsword directly into the car.

”Ah!”

Lin Zhiyan caught sight of this scene from the corner of her eye and screamed in fright.

In this moment of crisis, Jiang Chen quickly let go of Lin Zhiyan’s head and grabbed the blade of the sword, stopping the longsword from stabbing further.

Blood immediately began dripping from Jiang Chen’s hand!

But Jiang Chen didn’t even wrinkle his brow, nor did he let go.

Blood dripped onto Lin Zhiyan’s face, and she froze. She then realized that Jiang Chen was saving her.

At this time, with the longsword horizontally above Lin Zhiyan’s head, she had no choice but to continue lying on Jiang Chen’s legs. Her face turned red as she thought of something.

Boom! Wuuuu—

Jiang Chen stepped on the gas pedal while simultaneously releasing his grip on the longsword.

”Swoosh!”

The Lamborghini suddenly accelerated and left the motorcycle behind.

”You drive, fast!” Jiang Chen pulled Lin Zhiyan up from his lap and spoke urgently.

Lin Zhiyan glanced at the rearview mirror; behind her, two motorcycles were chasing her car, and the people on them were all holding knives. She quickly nodded, knowing that Jiang Chen couldn’t fully deal with the pursuers while driving.

But she was still in the passenger seat - if she were to drive.

Lin Zhiyan looked at the narrow space inside the driver’s cabin and her face reddened again.

Jiang Chen became anxious and bellowed, ”What are you still doing? Get over here!”

Lin Zhiyan glared at Jiang Chen, gritted her teeth, got up, climbed onto Jiang Chen, then sat down, took the steering wheel, and hunched over slightly to give Jiang Chen some space.

Jiang Chen stood up and began to move towards the passenger seat.

But the space was indeed narrow, and during the movement, their bodies inevitably touched, and it was always the critical parts. This nearly zero-distance contact made Lin Zhiyan feel extremely awkward, her face instantly flushing red.

By the time Jiang Chen moved to the passenger seat, she couldn’t help but turn her head and glare at Jiang Chen again.

However, Jiang Chen didn’t have the luxury to concern himself with Lin Zhiyan at the moment. He stared intently at the rearview mirror, thought for a moment, and then suddenly spoke in a deep voice, ”When I say brake, slam on the brakes immediately. Did you hear me?”

”That won’t work, we can’t slam on the brakes at our current speed, it will cause an accident!” Lin Zhiyan responded with a frown.

”Just listen to me!” Jiang Chen hissed, his gaze fixed on the rearview mirror, while his hand was already on the passenger door’s switch.

Lin Zhiyan glared at Jiang Chen and reluctantly agreed, even though she had no idea what Jiang Chen was about to do, but now she had no choice but to rely on Jiang Chen to save herself.

”Brake!”

Screech!

After a moment, Jiang Chen suddenly called out in a low voice, and Lin Zhiyan reflexively stepped on the brakes. Jiang Chen’s eyes lit up as he flung open the passenger door!

Bang!

With a muffled sound, a motorcycle directly crashed into the suddenly opened passenger door and immediately fell to the side.

Door Slam Kill!

Then, there was another bang.

Crash!

The sound of shattering glass came from the rear of the car as another motorcycle failed to stop and crashed onto the Lamborghini’s top. The rider went headfirst into the car, breaking the rear window, and was propelled by inertia into the space between the driver’s and passenger’s seats.

Jiang Chen punched the rider in the head and grabbed his neck, twisting it hard.

Crack!

A crisp sound echoed in the car, and the rider was unable to resist at all. His head tilted and he limply slumped onto the driver’s seatback.

Lin Zhiyan turned pale, retreated in a panic, and looked at Jiang Chen with shock in her eyes.

He was too powerful, having used the car’s inertia to deal with the two pursuers, so clever! And his calmness in the face of danger, his decisive killing... so handsome!

Jiang Chen did not look at Lin Zhiyan who was practically starry-eyed. He pushed the man out of the car with force and turned his head to command in a serious tone, ”Drive!”

”Oh oh.” Lin Zhiyan nodded frantically, restarted the car, and hurried towards her home.

After carefully watching the rearview mirror and side mirrors for a while, Jiang Chen leaned back in the seat and whispered, ”It’s safe now.”

Lin Zhiyan glanced at Jiang Chen and continued driving without speaking, her gaze complex.

Upon arriving at the Lin Family home, Lin Zhiyan brought Jiang Chen inside and fetched a first aid kit to bandage him.

”Jiang Chen, thank you!” Looking at the deep wound in Jiang Chen’s palm, Lin Zhiyan was sincerely grateful.

If it weren’t for Jiang Chen’s intervention, she might have been stabbed or captured alive by those two men.

”You’re welcome. If you had died, our clinic would have lost a nurse!” Jiang Chen said with a smile.

Lin Zhiyan glared at Jiang Chen, rolled her eyes, and continued to bandage him, but her heart was filled with an unusual sweetness.

”Thud thud thud—”

A series of urgent footsteps sounded, and Lin Bingrui hurried into the house. Seeing that Lin Zhiyan was alright, he breathed a sigh of relief, then his expression changed, and he quickly came to Jiang Chen’s side, asking anxiously, ”Mr. Jiang, are you injured?!”
