Venerated Venomous Consort

A dragon’s pearl was the ultimate source of life for any kind of dragon. Given that a little kid had stolen it, the Great White Dragon quickly got into a towering rage. In a fit of violent anger, it took off in an attempt to recapture its stolen treasure.

Di Hao started running once he stole the pearl. What surprised Yun Yanli was that the silly boy was actually running away from Yun Yanli instead of towards him for help. Fortunately, his short legs were no obstacle to him. He was running incredibly fast, as though he had a pair of hot wheels on his feet.

The Great White Dragon howled its displeasure while engaging Di Hao in a close pursuit. In Yun Yanli’s field of vision, the two were drifting farther and farther away. Yun Yanli had no words for the boy’s mischief, but he decided to follow them.

When he finally saw them again, the boy was hanging on the Great White Dragon’s horns. The Great White Dragon stood high into the sky, about 100 meters tall. It was shaking its head as vigorously as it could, swinging Di Hao’s little body in the air like a flag.

The boy and the dragon were in the middle of a massive fight, and there was a chance that Di Hao might be swallowed alive by the Great White Dragon at any time.

Yun Yanli began to get really worried about the naughty little boy. He called out to him before leaping into the air to get the boy down.

He did not take long to reach the boy, but Di Hao reacted quickly enough to kick his hand away from grabbing him. “I want to conquer it!”

Yun Yanli was at a loss for words. He could not believe what the boy just said. In order to conquer a creature, one must defeat it and convince the creature to surrender wholeheartedly to the person whom it would now refer to as its master.

Dragons were known to be proud of their impeccable pedigree. These creatures would not surrender easily. In fact, they would probably choose to accept death rather than submit.

The Flood Dragon was almost evolving, so it must think very highly of itself. Moreover, its pearl was taken away at a crucial time, possibly rendering its previous efforts fruitless. Hence, the likely outcome of the fight was that Di Hao could possibly be torn into shreds. So why would the Flood Dragon even surrender itself to the boy? It was highly unlikely.

Under the current circumstances, Yun Yanli was convinced that none of them was able to leave this place alive. The Flood Dragon was, apparently, able to understand their conversations. It howled a loud cry of amusement. “I will never be conquered,” it thought to itself.

It would never allow its mighty self to be conquered by a despicable human that inconvenienced it. Then, the Flood Dragon spiraled into the sky, gathering speed as though it was becoming a streak of lightning; it started summoning the winds and the rain. Droplets in the air slowly transformed into sharp weapons, which were all simultaneously aimed at little Di Hao.

Yun Yanli followed them and saw everything that was happening in the sky. He watched as the rain droplets turned into sharp crystals, billowing and snapping in the wind like a swirling vortex. It was an attack on a catastrophic scale where the crystals were coming straight at Di Hao from every angle.

Obviously, the Flood Dragon had just launched its deadliest move. Even Yun Yanli would struggle to defend himself from the sharp crystals. What more for Di Hao was only a boy? On days involving long journeys, the boy would even request to be carried instead of walking on his own. He was so fragile that even stepping on a rock would bother him for the whole day. Once hit, the boy would end up becoming a hedgehog with sharp crystals.

Without hesitation, Yun Yanli sent himself across the air and covered the boy with his body. At the same time, he also released a protective wizardry barrier to shield them away from the crystals. These crystals of tremendous force landed on his wizardry barrier like a storm, though most were bounced off. However, there were still many crystals in the sky.
