Venerated Venomous Consort

“Hmm?” Di Fuyi did not get it.

Gu Xijiu was surprised by his lack of understanding despite his profound knowledge in medicine.

“We shall not do anything in the first three months of pregnancy. Otherwise, the baby is going to get hurt,” Gu Xijiu had to tell him more about the precautions.

Di Fuyi did not know anything about it. It was utterly new to him.

“I will be careful,” Di Fuyi reassured. He did not want the night to end so early.

“No means no,” Gu Xijiu insisted, while holding his hand. “This is one of the basic things that we need to follow during the pregnancy period.”

“I am sure that our child is different. She will not be as fragile as a normal child.”

“It is better for us to be careful now than to regret later. It is not easy for us to have a child, so I want to make sure nothing happens to her,” Gu Xijiu fixed her intense gaze on him, while conveying her heartfelt appeal. Intuitively, she put her hand on her belly as if caressing the baby.

No one knew how much she wanted a child of her own, but Di Fuyi was starting to have an idea. With a sigh, he realized that it was truly not the right time. “All right. I will do as you say.”

Although he felt an intense longing for her, he decided not to do anything against her will. Moreover, they were doing this for the baby, so he had to be more understanding.

For a brief moment, he felt that it was not the right time for them to have a baby. Luckily, the baby was not Di Hao. Otherwise, he would definitely give Di Hao a whip for showing up at the wrong time.

So, the two of them remained on the bed together. Di Fuyi had been waiting so long for this night, only to be disappointed. He knew that they were not going to do anything, but he could not control the desire that was burning within his body.

He tried to regulate his breathing and calm himself down. It was obvious to the person next to him that he had to work very hard to suppress his desires. Gu Xijiu felt bad for him. After what they had been through, they still could not truly enjoy their time together.

She knew that men would have a strong urge for sex, so she understood how bad he must be feeling right now. She thought about it for a moment and decided to offer him a solution. “Are you feeling very miserable? Should I use my hand?”

Di Fuyi was surprised by her offer. Then, he started laughing out loud. “Silly girl, I am not like any other man. I am not looking for an alternative to temporarily satisfy me.” His body did not naturally respond to lust. She was the only one who made him feel that way.

If she could not quench his aching need, there was no other physical way to fulfill him. He recited a spell to quench the burning desire, and soon, it worked.

Observing all this unfold, Gu Xijiu realized that there were still some things that she did not quite know about him even though they had been married for eight years in their past life.

After a while, she could already tell that his body temperature was slowly returning to normal. Obviously, his desire had been extinguished. That was quick.

Celestial Master Zuo’s self control was indeed impressive, and Gu Xijiu was relieved. Although they were not allowed to have any intimate physical contact, she still wanted to cuddle with him. Initially, she did not dare to do so for fear that she might trigger him even further. Perhaps, now she could.

Gu Xijiu had wanted to be close to him ever since she witnessed his timely return. Naturally, she pulled his arm over her and put her head down on his shoulder. “Let us talk,” she whispered in his ear.

Her action triggered Di Fuyi! She was leaning against him so closely and even whispered in her ear. She was the only woman that he had ever wanted, so the contact between their skin posed a great challenge for him to stay controlled. But how could he push her away when she was clearly eager to be in his arms? Therefore, all he could do was to calm his mind and stay focused. “What should we talk about?”

“Let’s say…” There were so many things that Gu Xijiu wanted to talk about. For example, she wanted to know how he achieved the advancement of his spiritual power in such a short time and why did their memories come back to them at the same time. Next, she wanted to find out how much he remembered about his identity as Shen Nianmo, now that his past memory as Di Fuyi had returned to him.
