Possessive & Addicted: The CEO Could Never Let Her Go

She really couldn’t imagine someone as cold as Gu Xiaozhan wearing purple swim trunks—how flashy would that be?

Mu An smiled, and Gu Xiaozhan’s gaze shifted over.

She quickly covered her mouth and laughed quietly.

Even if the others heard, they dared not laugh aloud.

It was only then that Lu Lu realized perhaps she shouldn’t have mentioned it, so she said, ”I’ll punish myself with three drinks!”

”But I really want to hear more,” Mu An said. ”Vice Manager Lu, what happened next? Did Mr. Gu wear them?”

Lu Lu could feel the chill emanating from Gu Xiaozhan, so how could she dare to continue? These are matters not to be touched.

”I forgot,” Lu Lu laughed it off.

Mu An shook her head, ”Vice Manager Lu, you’re not being fair! You’re just telling half the story!”

Lu Lu started to hold a grudge against Mu An. Everyone else dropped the topic, but Mu An just wouldn’t let it go.

”I really forgot,” Lu Lu said, putting on an air of authority. ”If you had this level of perseverance in your work, I’m sure your future would be promising.”

”I appreciate your kind words, Vice Manager Lu. I hope it turns out as you say.” Mu An raised her glass for a drink.

Wang Kangyan came back from smoking and noticed the awkward atmosphere, so he immediately said, ”Everyone’s busy with work and neglecting exercise. I just asked the person in charge here—we can still play the three-legged race game to see who wins. There are even prizes!”

Since everyone was full, they went to play the game together.

The three-legged race assignment was decided by drawing lots.

Lu Lu hoped to draw Gu Xiaozhan, but instead, Mu An got him.

Mu An, holding the lot, went to find Wang Kangyan: ”There must be some underhandedness here.”

Wang Kangyan dodged, ”Oh, who’s behind the rigging? Look at me, I’m paired with Ma Bin...”

Mu An laughed, the old fox!

Lu Lu was teamed with Aix, while Mu An and Gu Xiaozhan were a team, with their ankles tied together.

She looked at him angrily, Wang Kangyan was one of the employees he trusted most—there must be something going on behind the scenes.

Gu Xiaozhan wanted to smack her little butt for daring to make fun of him wearing purple swim trunks.

After the other groups finished, these three teams competed together.

As soon as the whistle blew, Mu An urged Gu Xiaozhan to hurry up!

Wang Kangyan and Ma Bin had their arms around each other’s shoulders and were running pretty fast.

Lu Lu and Aix were also very coordinated, both putting in all their effort to sprint forward.

Mu An was anxious; Gu Xiaozhan seemed to care nothing about winning or losing.

”Hurry up!” she kept urging.

After all, even if she wanted to run fast, how could she possibly move this man’s weight?

”You’re so far from me, how could it be fast?” Gu Xiaozhan glanced sideways at her.

Mu An pouted, this guy was so tsundere; he obviously wanted her closer, sticking right next to him, yet his thoughts twisted and turned.

She reached out a hand to hold his waist, ”Is this better?”

Gu Xiaozhan chuckled secretly, ”Hmm, this way we can be a bit faster.”

Mu An: ”...”

Just a bit faster? At this rate, they’ll lose.

”Hold me too, so we can go even faster,” she quickly added.

”You suggested it, don’t say the boss is bullying the employee.” Gu Xiaozhan was being typically cheeky.

Without waiting for her refusal, he extended his long arms and drew her waist into his embrace.

Mu An was about to retort when he was already dashing forward swiftly as if flying.

She didn’t even need to exert effort; he just took her flying forward like that.
