Possessive & Addicted: The CEO Could Never Let Her Go

For some reason, Mu Anhan felt that Gu Xiaozhan wasn’t all that interested in her.

He doted on her, protected her.

But he was missing that tiny spark of passion; he just looked like a righteous, ideal husband.

The intimacy that should exist between a married couple never really showed.

During her whole postpartum confinement, Mu Anhan put on about ten jin. Even she couldn’t help pinching the soft flesh at her waist, and she went into the group chat to show off to the Four Great Goblins that she’d gained weight.

As soon as her confinement period was over, the first thing she did was call up her friends to go out and have fun.

On the weekend, she met up with Xue Xiangtong, Miao Feishuang, and Zhang Shishi—first they went shopping and had bubble tea, then they went to eat, sing karaoke, and drink.

Everything she hadn’t done during pregnancy, she was going to do now.

She’d been holding back for ten months; now she needed to properly let herself go.

The early spring weather was still pretty chilly.

Mu Anhan tried on a beige long dress. Because she was tall, although it was called a long dress, it only reached her calves.

Xue Xiangtong laughed. ”Han Han, you’re breastfeeding now, you’ve filled out a lot. Not bad, not bad, Mr. Gu’s got benefits!”

”Tch!” Mu Anhan cursed jokingly. ”What’s it got to do with him? I just like being a bit chubbier myself! I’m telling you, you can’t lose weight during confinement, or you’ll get sick easily later. Only if you eat well, sleep well, and rest well will your immunity be good.”

Miao Feishuang was a little surprised. ”Han Han, you’re so pretty, and you’re actually not afraid of getting fat?”

”Sis is a queen that confident—fat or not, I still shine.” Mu Anhan could spin out lines like that without even thinking.

”In my eyes, Han Han is the bravest one.” Zhang Shishi nodded. ”Actually, a lot of Western celebrities have bigger frames; even if they’re a bit fuller, they still look great. It’s always Asian people who insist being skinny is beautiful.”

Xue Xiangtong bared her arm. ”Let me show you my ’kirin arms’. My arms need to be strong so I can catch thieves! Sisters, health is what matters most!”

Miao Feishuang sized her up. ”Tong Tong, you’re not afraid your arms will be thicker than Sixth Brother’s?”

”Oh come on! How could it be that exaggerated?” Xue Xiangtong gave her a kick.

Miao Feishuang dodged aside, and the two started horsing around.

After all, Xue Xiangtong had been a policewoman; she was quick. She grabbed Miao Feitong’s slim waist. ”You little heart-melting goblin, I bet your brother-in-law really likes your tiny waist, right? Feels like if I just bend it lightly, it’ll snap...”

Miao Feishuang slapped her hand away. ”What nonsense are you spouting?”

”Right! What nonsense am I spouting when I’m telling the plain truth!” Xue Xiangtong smacked her own head. ”A real master sees through things but doesn’t say them out loud!”

Joking and chatting, they finished shopping and eating, then headed to KTV to drink and sing.

”Han Han, you’re drinking? You don’t need to breastfeed?” Miao Feishuang asked.

Mu Anhan said, ”It’s fine. I don’t have enough milk for the kids anyway; they’re all on formula. Mine is basically like a snack—if they feel like it they have a bit, if not, it’s whatever.”

Xue Xiangtong raised her glass. ”We’re not going home till we’re drunk. Here’s to Han Han coming back in glory!”

Zhang Shishi rarely drank, but she went all in today. ”We all waited for Han Han’s belly to ’unload the cargo’. Today we’re witnessing Han Han’s beautiful life—cheers!”

”You two sound so cultured all of a sudden, now I feel like I have to say a couple lines too.” Miao Feishuang laughed and picked up her glass. ”Personally, I don’t want Han Han to have another baby. It’s too hard on the body! Women, no matter how much you love a man, you have to love yourself first!”

A lot of women, when they’re loving that man, forget that they themselves also need to be loved.
