Possessive & Addicted: The CEO Could Never Let Her Go

Mu Anhan looked at Gu Xiaozhan sleeping peacefully, no longer hysterical like before.

She sighed lightly, wishing things could always be like this.

She extended a hand that wasn’t attached to the IV drip, gently stroking his large palm.

No matter how he was, she would always be there with him.

Mu Anye snorted, ”I’m still here!”

”You’re not an outsider,” Mu Anhan replied lightly.

Mu Anye pointed at Gu Xiaozhan lying in the bed, ”He’s the outsider!”

Mu Anhan glared at him fiercely, ”Get out!”

”You reap what you sow,” Mu Anye left without looking back, shutting the door with loud bangs.

His door-slamming woke Gu Xiaozhan.

He opened his eyes in displeasure, seeing the woman sitting beside him, gazing at him with concern.

”Xiaozhan, how are you?”

He looked at her beautiful face, filled with worry, her gorgeous big eyes filled with immense tenderness, and her thin little hand resting on the back of his hand.

Mu Anhan noticed he was staring at her without speaking, and withdrew her small hand, ”Do you feel uncomfortable anywhere?”

”I’m alright.” Gu Xiaozhan sat up coldly.

He glanced at her IV bottle, ”Lie back down.”

”Okay.” Mu Anhan saw he had calmed down and dared not oppose him, obediently lying back down.

”Once the infusion is finished, we’ll go back.” Gu Xiaozhan regained his usual composure.

It seemed that the man who caused such a ruckus in the hospital today was nothing like him!

Mu Anhan found it strange but dared not ask further.

After finishing the infusion, she returned to Tianqin Residence with Gu Xiaozhan.

”I’m going to the study first; you rest.” Gu Xiaozhan said, then left.

Mu Anhan stood in place, watching his figure disappear, then went to find Mu Anye, ”What did you do to Xiaozhan?”

”What could I possibly do to him?” Mu Anye was playing a mobile game.

”He was acting strangely after he woke up,” Mu Anhan frowned, ”No more hysteria or obstinate outbursts, and he’s starting to handle work matters.”

Mu Anye pointed to his head, ”You should understand.”

Mu Anhan smiled bitterly; she understood, he might have moments of clarity and lapses, possibly regaining memory, or possibly forgetting.

She went to the twins’ room, playing educational games with the two children, and eventually, she stayed with them while they fell asleep.

”Mom, why is Dad so stern?” Gu Yu snuggled into her arms.

Mu Anhan stroked her head, ”Dad is only like this for now; he’ll get better and won’t be like this anymore.”

Gu Yao also said, ”I saw Dad bullying Mom, I don’t like him anymore!”

”Gu Yao—” Mu Anhan’s expression sank instantly, admonishing, ”You can’t talk like that, he’s your father, the one you and Yu Er should respect most in your lives; he’s the head of the family, someone Mom and you should rely on, someone dear to us.”

Gu Yao pouted and stopped talking.

Gu Yu whispered, ”But, I’m scared of Dad...”

Mu Anhan hugged her, ”You don’t need to be scared. Dad will always love us, love Yu Er, love Yao Yao, and love Mom...”

The children, comforted by her, soon fell asleep.

She was probably too exhausted lately, as she fell asleep with the children.

When Gu Xiaozhan came out of the study and returned to the bedroom without seeing her, he came to the children’s room to find her, spotting her sleeping soundly with a child on either side.
