Possessive & Addicted: The CEO Could Never Let Her Go

Chapter 147: Chapter 147: The Blazing Angel’s Skill

”Why are you dressed like this here?” Lie Huo sensed that it was definitely not a coincidence.

The man operating the computer noticed the ominous aura around him, and he shivered with fear. ”I’ve been here drinking coffee since five in the afternoon. As for my attire, I put this on when I woke up this morning.”

Lie Huo could not possibly believe him. ”We are the special operations team. You are related to a security incident, and right now, you can’t go anywhere.”

Lie Huo asked someone to keep an eye on the man with glasses and a computer, and he requested surveillance footage from the cafe.

Mu Shaochen also pushed his wheelchair inside. After checking the surveillance, he said, ”The envoy of the Blazing Angel did indeed enter the cafe, but then vanished without a trace.”

”Could it be that he disguised himself again and escaped?” Lie Huo could not believe this person would simply disappear.

Mu Shaochen rubbed his brow, ”I have a very simple method to verify if this person is still here.”

”Quick, tell me!” Lie Huo was experiencing his first setback since his debut, and he was in a foul mood.

Mu Shaochen pointed at the surveillance footage. ”Look, the footage hasn’t been edited or erased. The Blazing Angel members did come in. We should count how many came and how many left, and see how many people are still in the cafe. It’ll be clear.”

Lie Huo instructed his subordinates to do so, and confirmed that the man with glasses and a computer was indeed dressed like this when he went to work in the morning, and then spent the afternoon drinking coffee and playing games here.

”I understand now. He scouted the area beforehand, then disguised himself as the man with glasses and a computer.” Lie Huo realized, ”It seems this person’s logical thinking is quite meticulous. Didn’t he consider the possibility of this man leaving earlier?”

”Then it’s just gambling on luck.” Mu Shaochen sighed, ”I’ve already counted the numbers. The members of the Blazing Angel left the cafe long ago, but the surveillance didn’t capture them.”

Defeated, Lie Huo returned to the Emperor Building. ”I’m sorry, Mr. Gu. I let him get away!”

”To escape from Lie Huo’s grasp takes some skill!” Gu Xiaozhan lifted his head from the documents.

Lie Huo, despite his poker face, flushed with embarrassment. He had followed Gu Xiaozhan through countless battles, big and small. How could he be so outsmarted?

”Mr. Gu, I will definitely catch him this time. It’s bank closing time now, but tomorrow, he must go to cash a check. A hundred million is no small amount, so we’ll keep an eye on the bank and surely gain something.” Lie Huo said immediately.

Gu Xiaozhan nodded. ”Shao Chen, investigate this person’s true identity.”

Mu Shaochen extracted him from the company’s surveillance footage and compared it in the national registry online. ”Mr. Gu, there’s no trace of this person. He’s been disguised.”

”Never heard of the Blazing Angel name before. Could it be related to the President Mansion?” Lie Huo was particularly worried.

Gu Xiaozhan’s deep eyes glimmered with thought. ”If he’s one of the President Mansion people, why clean up the online trolls?”

”What is he hiding from? Why does he need to disguise himself to meet us?” Mu Shaochen also couldn’t figure it out.

”Even a fox will show its tail eventually. I refuse to believe we won’t catch him!” Lie Huo was still indignant.

Lie Huo watched Gu Xiaozhan think deeply, unsure of Mr. Gu’s thoughts, and dared not disturb him lightly.

Gu Xiaozhan recalled the vibrant eyes of the Blazing Angel member before he left. Previously obscured by lenses, the brilliance was covered.

But when the person turned sideways and left, he clearly saw something different from the side.
