Possessive & Addicted: The CEO Could Never Let Her Go

Chapter 27: Chapter 27: Honey, Kiss It and It Won’t Hurt

In the bedroom.

Mu Anhan was holding her phone, lying on the bed reading today’s news. After a while, sleepiness overtook her, and she fell asleep with the phone in her hand.

When she woke up again, it was already the next day. The sky was gradually getting brighter, and the birds outside the window were chirping, heralding another vibrant day.

Mu Anhan stretched lazily, only to realize that no one had slept beside her.

She sat up abruptly, did Gu Xiaozhan not come back to sleep last night?

Was it because she slept in his bedroom, and he deliberately didn’t return?

Or was he busy with work, spending the whole night in the study?

She hurriedly washed up, changed into a set of clothes, and rushed to the study.

The study door was ajar, and she gently pushed it open, seeing a thick stack of documents on Gu Xiaozhan’s desk, while he was asleep in the luxurious black office chair.

The air conditioning in the room was set to a low temperature, causing Mu Anhan to shiver involuntarily as she entered.

She saw that he was only wearing a black shirt, with the tie loosened and casually draped around his neck. The first button at his neck was undone, revealing his seductive collarbone.

In her previous life, she had never observed him so closely and meticulously.

Now with the chance to carefully scrutinize him, she thought, Gu Xiaozhan truly was the most handsome and coolest man on earth!

Even asleep, he still resembled a poised leopard, maintaining the optimal speed and passion.

Doesn’t he get tired like this...?

Mu Anhan took the suit jacket from the hanger and gently draped it over him.

At that moment, her wrist was firmly grasped by a large hand. His grip was strong, and she couldn’t struggle free, as if he might even break her delicate wrist.

The suit jacket slipped to the ground, and although the sound was light, for the ever-alert Gu Xiaozhan, he was already awake.

”Husband, it’s me...” Mu Anhan frowned in pain.

Gu Xiaozhan opened his eyes, looking at the pretty girl in front of him. She was wearing a white T-shirt and navy jeans, her hair tied up in a bun, with slippers on her feet, looking very much like a university student.

If she hadn’t called him husband, he might have thought time reversed, taking him back to when he first met the youthful her.

Gu Xiaozhan released her wrist, which had reddened under his strong grip.

She’s not his enemy, why was he so forceful?

”Husband, it hurts...” Mu Anhan took the opportunity to act coy, extending her clean, alabaster-like hand before him.

Gu Xiaozhan had just awoken, but those insightful eyes of his were still piercing, ”Don’t you know that a man can’t be teased in the morning?”

Mu Anhan’s face turned crimson in an instant!

Her little secret had been fully exposed by his words.

She puffed her cheeks in anger, like an adorable little pufferfish, ”Don’t you know a woman’s hand is very delicate?”

”What do you want?” Gu Xiaozhan’s tone bore an almost imperceptible trace of helplessness.

To him, she was like a mischievous child, even more so than Gu Yu, and certainly more clingy.

”Husband, if you blow on it, it won’t hurt!” Mu Anhan continued to act coy.

Gu Xiaozhan gazed at her with cold intensity; if she truly loved him, being coquettish might not matter, but her purposeful attempts to flirt added a deeper meaning to it all.

Mu Anhan waited for quite a while, but he didn’t make a move.

”Hmph! If you won’t blow, then don’t!” Just as she was about to withdraw her hand, her wrist was gently held by him.

This time, he didn’t use any force.

The rough, calloused palm of his hand, in stark contrast to her tender, white skin.

The warmth of his hand and her coolness gave rise to a peculiar emotion.

The tingling, slightly itchy sensation made her shiver lightly.
