Traveling Back Early: Forcing the Young Empress to Sign a Lifetime Servitude Contract

146: Striving to be a mother”Together?”

Chen Qingxuan felt as if he had been struck by five bolts of thunder.

If outsiders saw this, wouldn’t they doubt whether the mother-son relationship was healthy?

Pah, they weren’t mother and son at all!

The next moment, Chen Qingxuan quickly leaned against the edge of the bathtub, using his body to block Huang Qingxue from entering. ”The tub is too small... we can’t be in here together.”

”Hmm?”

Huang Qingxue tilted her head.

But she didn’t suspect anything; instead, she squatted outside the tub again and stared into Chen Qingxuan’s eyes, asking, ”Then tell Mother, can you wash yourself clean?”

”...”

Chen Qingxuan looked down at himself;

Damn it, even though I’ve become smaller... I’m not that small, am I?

Faced with Huang Qingxue’s burning gaze, he could only feign childishness and say, ”I know how to bathe. I’m not a little kid anymore.”

”Giggle~”

Sure enough, Huang Qingxue chuckled upon hearing that.

To prevent her from taking further advantage of him, Chen Qingxuan turned his back and pretended to start bathing... At that moment, Huang Qingxue leaned on the edge of the tub and said, ”You little rascal, do you remember kissing Mother before?”

”?”

Hearing such a cloying address, Chen Qingxuan’s mouth twitched violently. ”I don’t remember.”

”Of course you don’t remember.” Huang Qingxue smiled tenderly and said softly, ”Back then, you caused Mother no small amount of suffering. Because of you... Mother lived in fear for decades. Oh, right, turn around.”

Huang Qingxue suddenly thought of something;

The next moment, she grabbed Chen Qingxuan’s shoulders and turned him from his back to face her directly.

”Say one thing to Mother... Jie-jie-jie!”

”Jie-jie-jie.”

”No, it’s Jie-jie-jie.”

”Jie-jie-jie~”

”Right, right.”

Huang Qingxue nodded repeatedly;

The next moment, her heart raced as she said, ”You have to smirk when you say it... stare at me like a bad person... Come, Qingxuan, say it to Mother again.”

”...”

Chen Qingxuan stared straight at Huang Qingxue;

But under her overwhelming pressure, he could only do as he was told, like a submissive son.

In contrast, Huang Qingxue was beaming. ”Giggle~ How adorable... It doesn’t sound scary at all now... It’s actually quite interesting.”

”I’m going to bathe now.”

Chen Qingxuan didn’t want to be humiliated any further and turned around.

Once he was washed and changed into new clothes.

Huang Qingxue’s eyes widened.

Although Chen Qingxuan had been handsome before, his current handsomeness was tinged with childishness, making him a lethal weapon to any woman.

”Come, Mother will take you out to play.” Huang Qingxue immediately took Chen Qingxuan’s hand, planning to take him out and show him off.

Chen Qingxuan refused, ”I’m tired, I want to sleep.”

”It’s fine, you can sleep in Mother’s arms...”

Saying that, Huang Qingxue picked him up directly.

”Wait, what?” Chen Qingxuan felt deeply humiliated, pushing against her with his hands, trying to get down from her arms.

Unexpectedly, he made Huang Qingxue blush. ”Oh my, you can’t push so hard... Qingxuan, you can’t touch a woman there in the future, or you’ll be considered a pervert.”

”...”

At this moment, Chen Qingxuan regretted saving the Cangyun Continent.

Destruction might actually be fine!

... Divine Phoenix Sect.

”Strange, where is everyone?”

Jiang Susu looked around the empty Sleeping Hall, bewildered.

She had clearly been summoned in a hurry, but after she arrived today... she found not a single soul in the Sleeping Hall.

Where did they go?

Creak—

Just then, the closed doors were pushed open from the outside.

Jiang Susu quickly looked up and saw two figures, one large and one small. One was Huang Qingxue, and the other was Chen Qingxuan.

At this moment, Chen Qingxuan held candied haws in one hand and a rattle-drum in the other... his face bore an expression of utter despair.

Until he saw his dear sister, his eyes suddenly lit up... as if seeing a life-saving straw.

Swish—

But before he could call for help, he was dragged out of the Sleeping Hall by Huang Qingxue.

”Hmm?”

Chen Qingxuan swallowed the words at the tip of his tongue;

He had managed to hide it until now and couldn’t let his efforts go to waste, unless he was sure he could return to Jiang Susu’s side.

”Wait for Mother outside... You’re not allowed to go in, otherwise Mother will get angry and spank your little bottom.”

Huang Qingxue instructed.

Chen Qingxuan didn’t dare to argue; after all, he was still in her hands.

And so.

Chen Qingxuan was left outside alone. Huang Qingxue walked into the Sleeping Hall, stopped Jiang Susu who was about to come out, closed the doors, and activated a Barrier.

”Qingxue, was that just...”

Jiang Susu’s beautiful face was filled with shock;

Before she could finish, Huang Qingxue took her arm and led her deep into the Sleeping Hall. ”Susu, listen to me, some accidents happened...”

Immediately, she told her the truth about Chen Qingxuan turning small and losing his memory.

Jiang Susu was thunderstruck. ”What? That’s really Brother?”

”Shh, don’t make a scene. He doesn’t know anything right now,” Huang Qingxue comforted. ”And don’t worry, I’ve checked him. Except for losing his memory and strength, everything else is normal.”

”Losing his memory... is he still Brother then?” Jiang Susu’s expression was complex. She had never expected this situation, especially with her dear Brother becoming so small.

She liked him big!

”Even though he doesn’t remember us, he is still himself,” Huang Qingxue stated. ”Emm... but there are some changes... I am his mother now.”

”What did you say?”

Jiang Susu thought she had misheard.

Meeting her sister’s shocked gaze, a hint of guilt flashed in Huang Qingxue’s eyes. ”It’s... when he was first reborn, he called me Mother... and was running around with a bare bottom... I thought... since things had come to this, I might as well accept it... I just brought him back from Qingyun Town after buying some clothes.”

”How could you do this?” Jiang Susu couldn’t understand and complained, ”Even if Brother lost his memory... you can’t be his mother!”

Huang Qingxue comforted her, ”Susu, listen to my explanation. He was the one who insisted on calling me Mother...”

”I’m not listening.” Jiang Susu frowned and interrupted, her tone leaving no room for doubt. ”If anyone is going to be his mother, it should be me. It should never have been your turn!”

”Eh?”

Huang Qingxue blinked her long eyelashes.

The next moment, she explained, ”But he already recognizes me. If you suddenly become his mother... we won’t be able to explain it when he asks!”

”How about this, Susu.”

Suddenly, a flash of inspiration hit Huang Qingxue. ”Later, I’ll say you’re his wife... a wife betrothed to him since childhood... will that work?”

”Emm...”

Jiang Susu hesitated.

The next moment, she thought of a way. ”I want to talk to him first. Maybe if I show him the sound-image stones we recorded before... he might remember something.”

”Don’t do anything reckless,” Huang Qingxue’s face paled as she warned. ”He’s still a child. If he ends up seeing you as a bad woman... it’ll be hard for you to get along in the future.”

”But I...”

”No more ’buts,’ Susu.”

Huang Qingxue interrupted her friend.

The next moment, she looked up at the closed doors and whispered, ”The most important thing right now isn’t to dwell on this. We need to find a xiang ji sui fruit first.”
