My Youth Began With Him

Before he could pull the trigger, however, Huo Siqian took out his phone. “Would you like to watch a video first?”

Sensing that something was off, Rick immediately stopped what he was doing. “What are you trying to do now?”

“I heard… you’re in a relationship…”

Rick: “…”

Huo Siqian: “Your girlfriend’s got a nice body.”

A bad feeling crept up Rick’s spine as he asked, “What do you want?”

This morning, Xixi texted him saying that she was going mountain-climbing with some of her friends from university. He didn’t think too much about it, but could it be…

“Come here, let me show you a fun video. I’m sure you’ll like it.”

Then, Huo Siqian clicked on something and handed the phone to Rick.

In the video was Xixi, who was wearing a long, black down jacket. Her hands and feet were tied, and her mouth was taped up. Tears were streaming down her face…

She couldn’t talk, so all she could do was sob loudly as someone pulled tightly onto her hair.

Rick’s heart ached upon watching this video, and Huo Siqian smiled. “Are you heartbroken? I heard you love her very much.”

“Huo Siqian, what do you want?” Rick’s expression was icier than ever.

“What do I want? What kind of question is that? You’re the one who came to kill me… I don’t remember offending you in the past. Rick, you’re a smart man, you probably know what ‘minding your own business’ means. This is between Qin Chu, Huo Mian, and I. I don’t want anyone else to interfere… If you’re not going to mind your own business, then I’ll have to use extreme measures to make you.”

“Let go of Xixi, family should not be implicated in our matters.”

Rick thought Huo Siqian would at least play by the rules of the black society and not drag families into issues, but to his surprise, the latter chuckled, “Do you really think I’m someone who plays by the rules? Family shouldn’t be inflicted? She’s not your family right now, at most she’s your girlfriend… you sure care about her.”

“Let her go, or else I’m going to kill you right now.”

“Sure, go ahead.”

Then, Huo Siqian opened the cap of his lighter and said, “I recently came across an interesting item called a mini-sized bomb. It’s really small and can be tied to a person’s head. If I press the button in my hand, and with a ‘bang’, anything, even an elephant, will be blown into a million pieces, leaving nothing but their brains… tsk, tsk, how exciting.”

“What are you planning to do?” Rick sounded calm, but his mind was tossing and turning as if he had been hit by a tornado…

“Your girlfriend sure is lucky, she’s the first person to enjoy my new advanced weapon… If you want to kill me, go ahead. We’ll see if I have the time to press the button first.”

“F*ck you, Huo Siqian…” Rick, who never swore, spat angrily at Huo Siqian. But Huo Siqian didn’t care at all.

“If you really kill me before I press the button, then my people will have to press it with me. Haha, I’m excited to see such a beautiful female university student blow up.”

“Let go of Xixi,” Rick couldn’t help but howl at Huo Siqian, who said, “Sure… but you have to back off and never interfere with my matters again, or else…”

Rick remained silent, but his gun was still pointed at Huo Siqian.

“You have ten seconds. In ten seconds, I will activate the bomb.”

“Aren’t you afraid of dying?” Rick asked angrily.

“I am… but I think it’s great if a pretty girl can die with me.”
