My Youth Began With Him

“If you want to tell me, you’ll tell me. If you don’t want to tell me, it’s useless for me to ask.”

Professor Lu’s tone was mild and showed no criticism towards Lin Ya.

“Old Lu, which daughter do you like better, Mian or Yan?”

Lin Ya held his arm and cooed.

Professor Lu touched her head lovingly; obviously, he doted on her.

“They are both my daughters, so I love them equally. But, Ya, which Mian do you refer to? Is it the Mian you planted in China or our daughter Mian by our side?”

Hearing his words, Lin Ya’s expression changed slightly…

She let go of Professor Lu’s arm slowly and looked at him coldly.

“When did you know about this?”

Professor Lu was silent…

“It seems you came prepared. You went to Bali to see me, right?”

“Yes.”

“How did you know it was me?”

Lin Ya was puzzled. Professor Lu still thought she was in the cave in Iceland, right? How did he know she woke up?

“In this world, except for me, the only person who can clone humans is you…”

Professor Lu looked at Lin Yan and his eyes turned unreadable.

“You saw a clone? You saw Leila? Impossible… She’s never met you. How did you know it?”

Professor Lu knew much more than Lin Ya had thought.

It was a huge mistake to think that the professor was a dumb and ignorant guy who knew nothing.

“No, I didn’t see Leila or your clones, but I know your clone technology. Ya, Jing De died many years ago and I verified it personally. But you made a clone of him and sent him to upset Mian’s adoptive mother. What’s your purpose? As an old Chinese saying goes, you repaid their kindness with hatred, right?”

“Oh… You deducted it from No. 002. Old Lu, you’re still smart. Your brain hasn’t dulled with age.”

“Ya, you changed a lot. I want to know what happened while we were apart.”

Professor Lu walked in the long undersea tunnel with Lin Ya, not feeling the passage of time or anything in the world as if they were isolated from the whole world.

Professor Lu had gotten everything prepared when he guessed the mastermind behind the scenes was Lin Ya.

Gazing at the woman he had loved for years, he found she looked like a stranger.

“Old Lu, I didn’t change. I’ve always been like this… The previous me you saw and knew was a facade. The current me is the real me… You might be sad to hear it but it’s the truth… I’m sorry. But I truly love you, otherwise I wouldn’t have married you or had children with you.”

Now that Professor Lu knew everything, Lin Ya decided to tell the truth instead of continuing with her lies.

With the professor’s mind, it wasn’t difficult for him to accept these weird things…

“Ya, what’s your purpose?” The professor asked gently without a trace of censure in his tone.

He sounded as if he’d always love her deeply no matter how much she had changed.
