My Youth Began With Him

“What? Are you afraid of me?” Huo Yanyan asked.

“Why should I be afraid of you…” Shen Mingxi frowned slightly, not liking her weird tone.

“Because you did wrong with me…”

“Well… You’re delusional. What wrong did I do with you?” Shen Mingxi sneered.

“Have you got back with Wei Ying? You thought I don’t know it?”

“Where did you hear this nonsense?” Shen Mingxi was angry because he had never even seen Wei Ying, nor be in contact with her by call or WeChat.

“Don’t think I know nothing about what is happening in your circle. I have friends… In fact, what you did is disgusting. You don’t even have the guts to admit it. How pathetic are you? All your life, you can only go between me and Wei Ying…” The moment Huo Yanyan opened her mouth, she couldn’t help mocking and scorning him.

The mean words were even unbelievable to her own ears.

Fortunately, Shen Mingxi had been used to her way of speaking, otherwise, he’d have gone mad.

“Are you done? If you are, get out. I don’t want to see you.”

“Whom do you want to see? Wei Ying?”

“Huo Yanyan, don’t act like a crazy woman, okay? Look at you! Don’t you see how horrible you have become now?”

“It’s your fault that I became like this. My mom is dead; I have nothing now… I did so much but just couldn’t save her. I hate all of you, Qin Chu, Huo Mian, Su Yu, and you, Shen Mingxi… As long as I live, you won’t live in peace… except if you get me killed…”

“You’re crazy…”

Shen Mingxi felt like there was something wrong with Huo Yanyan’s head.

“Yeah, I’m crazy. Young Master Shen, you have money and power; you can get me killed. My daughter and I will follow my mom and end our torture in this world.”

“Guards.”

Shen Mingxi lost his patience.

“Yes, Young Master?”

“Take this woman out. I don’t want to see her.”

Finally, Shen Mingxi got tough and ordered her out.

“I’ll go. But remember, I won’t let you guys live in peace so long as I’m alive. Don’t think you can restore your marriage with Wei Ying.”

Tossing this threat at him, Huo Yanyan turned and left the room.

Shen Mingxi couldn’t sleep anymore. He leaned on the headboard and read the news on his cellphone.

Gossips, entertainment, social news, military, and education…

He killed the long hours in the night with reading.

In the early morning of the next day, Wei Ying came to deliver porridge in secret at the usual time.

“Miss Wei, you come so early again…”

“Hi. Give the porridge to your young master. Tell him to eat as much as he can. I put herb medicine in the porridge, and it will help heal his wounds.”

Wei Ying gave detailed instructions to the bodyguard. She put the pot in his hand and was about to leave when a familiar voice came from behind her.

“Ying,” he said.

Wei Ying didn’t remember how long it had been since the last time that Shen Mingxi had called her by this name.

When they got divorced, he had called her Wei Ying in impatience.

Hearing the familiar but also unfamiliar greeting, Wei Ying felt like crying.

Stopping, she turned around slowly and saw Shen Mingxi leaning on the door frame wearing a hospital gown.

“Hi… Long time no see.” Wei Ying forced out a stiff smile.
