My Youth Began With Him

“Uh…” Huo Mian was guilty.

“Huo Mian, am I the last person to know about your pregnancy?”

“No, our parents don’t know.” Huo Mian smiled.

Qin Chu was silent…

“So, who knows?” He wasn’t giving up that easily.

“Xiaowei knows.”

‘Who else?”

“Uh, Little Bean and Pudding know.”

“And?” Qin Chu’s face was getting more stormy.

“Director Wu knows because I turned down a chance to study abroad in Germany because of my pregnancy.”

“Anyone else?” Qin Chu kept asking.

“Let me think. Ha, I think… maybe… Su Yu knows too.”

“Even Su Yu knows… Why am I the last one to know?” At this moment, Qin Chu felt very wronged.

“Ha, I didn’t want you to worry. Didn’t we have to team up against Huo Siqian? So I didn’t want you to worry about me and jeopardize our operation.”

“Damn it, Mian, you’re too capricious. Let me think, you’re pregnant for two months. During that time, you got on a helicopter and came with me to the mountains to catch Shen Jiani. You also pulled a few all-nighters at the City Bureau where you didn’t eat anything at all… You are the worst at being pregnant…”

When Qin Chu realized the consequences, he was terrified.

Huo Mian was pregnant but still ran around with him in the mountains to catch outlaws.

“Ha, I’m fine. I’m not that weak… Look, isn’t our baby okay? I did an ultrasound today. The little guy is healthy, his heartbeat is strong.”

“Do you think you’re carrying a little Jesus in there?” Qin Chu didn’t know what to say.

“Haha, Su Yu also asked that. You guys are connected spiritually.”

“Stop with the jokes, don’t think you can get away this easily…”

“What? Are you going to hit me? Come on, come on…” Huo Mian went up to him, she knew that he wouldn’t hit her.

“I’ll remember this, I’ll take care of you after the baby is born.”

Qin Chu loved her a lot and couldn’t do anything to her.

“Pff… Be happy about it. Honey, I wasn’t planning on telling you… If you didn’t… Didn’t want to do it, I wouldn’t’ve said it so early on.” Huo Mian seemed like she had her reasons.

“Don’t make me mad, you’re killing me…”

Qin Chu put his hands on his waist and took deep breaths.

He wanted to chain Huo Mian up and give her a beating…

But he couldn’t do that to her…

“Okay, let’s not horse around. I’m a little tired, let’s sleep.” After Huo Mian got pregnant, she slept more and was always fatigued.

“But you didn’t eat anything tonight.”

“I’m not hungry.”

“The baby is. Wait here, I’ll go make you some noodles.”

Qin Chu walked downstairs as he spoke…

He was too fast-paced…

However, it was great having a husband like him. After Huo Mian had her noodles, she patted her belly and leaned against Qin Chu’s shoulder.

“Honey.”

“Hmm?”

“What does being a dad again feel like?”

“Happy, excited.”

“Why?”

“Because last time you were pregnant, I missed your pregnancy and couldn’t be by your side. It was my biggest regret and I’ve always wanted to make it up. This time, there is no way I am missing it. I am going to take care of you until the baby is born.” Qin Chu gently caressed Huo Mian’s hair.

“Do you want it to be a boy or a girl?” Huo Mian looked up and asked.
