The Beautiful Wife of the Whirlwind Marriage

Gu Jingze said, “We need to visit some old friends here, to see if they have any connections who might know of her whereabouts.”

This young lady was also very stubborn.

This girl’s name was Charlotte. She was an adorable girl, but she did not want to marry into the Swedish royal family. Feeling uncomfortable, she ran away.

She was only 17 years old this year, so she was still rather stubborn. For all her previous dates, all were capable people from high society. Thus, her escape this time could likely have involved these people.

But they could not make a great fanfare out of the search. So, Gu Jingze chose to make some visits to the high society members first and see if there had been any movements here.

Gu Jingze said, “The last time they saw her, they heard that she was at a farm. To abduct her from a marriage, I’m guessing that this guy isn’t be bad. They have similar age and interests. As for farms, I’ve checked all the and found three names who have connections to her. One of them is the son of America’s biggest farm owner, Friedrich. One of them is Gilbert, the young master of Oaks Electronics. These two have the highest possibility.”

Not expecting Gu Jingze to have already thought of so much, Lin Che ate and asked, “Then why do we still need to ask the high society?”

“To ask what they are all doing and see if my speculations are right.”

“Okay…”

“So what are we doing today?” Black Eagle asked. “Lin Che and I don’t have to go, right? How about I take her out to explore?”

Gu Jingze looked at Black Eagle in disbelief.

Black Eagle raised his hands. “Fine, fine. It’s just that I haven’t been here in a long time and I want to go take a look outside. If Lin Che goes with me, at least I won’t get lost, right?”

Gu Jingze nodded. “Alright. I’ll get my people to follow you guys anyway.”

Black Eagle shot him a look.

Lin Che smiled. “That’s great! I do have someone I want to visit here too.”

“Who?”

“I want to go to Hollywood.”

Gu Jingze asked, “Oh, is it Xue Yang?”

“Yes.”

“Okay. We’ll meet tonight.”

They went their separate ways. Lin Che took Black Eagle with her to Hollywood.

Black Eagle said, “This place is still very messy. Stay close to me.”

Lin Che said, “Don’t worry. I’m more familiar with this place than you are.”

“Hmph. Your brother was already gallivanting here while you were still playing house at home.”

“Oh, are you talking about the decade you were here before the United States deported you?”

“…”

Black Eagle looked at her. “You’ve been with Gu Jingze for too long. Your tongue is getting sharper.”

“I’m just stating facts.”

The two of them soon arrived. Hollywood was always crowded.

As for Xue Yang’s residential area, it was nearby.

Due to work, he rented a place nearby. Why didn’t he buy a house…?

Because he couldn’t afford it…

After all, Xue Yang had only been here for a few years. He could only buy a starting apartment, and yet he was not prepared to buy an apartment either. Most people did not consider apartments as homes. He had also never considered settling down here, so it was better off for him to rent a place.

The large villas around were easily worth millions, but he did not need to spend that much to get one too.

Lin Che knew that they filmed his TV drama in a shed.

For some shots required at a later stage, it was enough to add special effects to the scenes filmed in the shed.

There were many scenes like that in the TV dramas here. The recent ones were all filmed in sheds rather than outdoors. Thus, they came straight to the filming shed.

She did not inform Xue Yang. As she stood outside, some directors recognized Lin Che.

Although they were from different countries, some directors knew of Lin Che’s name. After all, she was one of the most popular superstars in C Nation now.

“Lin, hey. I’ve long heard about you. What brings you here?”

Lin Che felt very honored. Although she had never developed her career over here, people were still able to recognize her.

“I’m here to look for Xue Yang.”

“Really? He’s filming inside. You can wait over here.”

“Thank you so much.”

“Not at all. I hope we’ll get to work together some day.”

“Yes, thank you.”

Lin Che went in. Sure enough, Xue Yang was filming seriously, so she did not get too near.

Xue Yang looked more mature, and he had a very manly charm.

Because he no longer walked the calefare path, his current male star route had made his skin darker. The slightly obvious scar on his face made him even more unique.

He was skillful in his movements and completed the performance without expression.

The crew below applauded. He got down and thanked them.

An assistant below quickly gave him a towel. He wrapped himself with it and then saw Lin Che.

Lin Che smiled at him.

He was pleasantly surprised as he made a beeline for her. There were some reporters from a reality show taking his pictures, but he did not care about them.

Lin Che quickly stood up. “You don’t have to run. I’m just here to take a look.”

Xue Yang said, “Sister Che, why didn’t you tell me you’d be here?”

“I’m here to settle some stuff, and at the same time visit you.” She looked at the reporters behind. “There are reporters. Why don’t you go see them?”

“Oh, they are some programme reporters who are interested in the show’s progress. It’s fine. They prefer shooting casually.”

Xue Yang’s TV show immediately won affirmation from the ratings after they broadcasted the first season, so they quickly received a renewal.

It shows there were different from the ones in C Nation. They would film some first for the TV giants to decide on. If they were willing to buy it, the show would then have a future.

Thus, the renewal was very important.

If someone wanted to renew the show, they could then continue filming. Otherwise, they would all be dismissed and would have to find new jobs.

Now that the ratings were soaring, there were basically no problems with the renewal later. The pressure on everyone would not be so great either.

However, there were still some people here who did not think highly of Xue Yang.

Because his character from the previous season was very popular, they rewrote his from supporting to lead. The original lead actors’ scenes were diminishing and of course, it made them unhappy.

They walked over. Seeing that Xue Yang and Lin Che were together, they unhappily intentionally bumped shoulders with them and said quietly, “Hey, pretty face. The one with you is even prettier. Very matching, not bad.”

But just as their voices fell, they saw Black Eagle stand up from behind.

Black Eagle was not shorter than these Americans. Especially when he carried a strong murderous aura which seemed to have already been carved into his bones.

The person’s heart immediately thumped. He thought that Lin Che was alone. Little did he expect that she would have company…

In an instant, he shut his mouth and raised his hands. “Carry on with your chat.”

Xue Yang watched that person leave and said to Lin Che, “Although there has been a constant fight against discrimination, racial discrimination will always be around more or less. Don’t worry.”

Lin Che said, “Tell us if you face any difficulties. Don’t bear it all alone.”

Black Eagle also said, “Exactly. Us yellow-skinned people far outnumber them. Why should we be afraid of them?”

Xue Yang could not help but laugh.
