His Beloved Treasure

Chapter 2397: Chapter 685: Return (Part 3) [Second Update]

That night, Mu Yichen went to the master bedroom, took a blanket and left, then brought it back, and finally took it away again.

Qin Mu, worn out by his antics, soon let her guard down. When he entered again past midnight, she was too sleepy to pay him any attention. Half asleep, she heard the door open and close, and then knew nothing more!

——

The next morning, when Qin Mu got up, she felt warm all over. With her head down, sleepy-eyed, she headed to the bathroom. Just as she raised her hand to touch the bathroom door, it opened from inside. Hearing the sound, she lifted her eyes, and her gaze was instantly caught by his dark eyes, causing her heart to skip a beat.

”Morning!”

He was still dismissive, shot her a frosty look, greeted her, and headed out.

Qin Mu, however, felt somewhat relieved, turning her head to watch his back: ”Hey! Mu Yichen!”

”What is it?”

Mu Yichen had already gone to the closet to find clothes, asking her nonchalantly.

”Why... why are you in my room?”

Qin Mu asked him confusedly, barely awake, now even more puzzled.

”I got up to freshen up. Is there a problem? Besides, my clothes are all here!”

Mu Yichen opened the closet and found his clothes, then ignored her, turning his back to her and throwing the clothes onto the bed, and began to undress.

Qin Mu...

Inside his bathrobe, he wore only a pair of black boxers, which accentuated a certain solid, mouthwatering part of him clearly, tempting one to sin.

Qin Mu stared for a while, only coming to her senses after some effort, looked away from his physique, stammering: ”You should move your clothes to that room!”

”Why should I move them to that room? Didn’t we agree to live like this before?”

Mu Yichen asked her while pulling up his pants.

And Qin Mu at this moment felt somewhat like banging her head against the wall.

Was she crazy at the time?

Wait, did they really discuss this issue?

It was clearly just about sleeping in separate rooms, right?

Creating an illusion for the child that they hadn’t broken up, and after the child slept, live separately, and then...

”You still should move them to your room, it’d be more convenient!”

Qin Mu said to him without leaving room for negotiation, like giving an order.

”And how is this inconvenient? Have I not seen you, or have you not seen me?”

He wore a shirt, his long arms slipped into the sleeves, his chest still unbuttoned, that drool-worthy chest, Qin Mu involuntarily felt her throat a little uncomfortable, once again turning away.

Mu Yichen looked at her awkward expression and felt even more disdain.

They’ve been an old couple for so many years, he saw her completely when she was twenty, and when she saw him completely that year, he was only eighteen. That time she was sick, he stayed in her apartment to take care of her, and when she went to the toilet, he happened to be showering, what a coincidence!

He still remembers the originally pale-faced girl, suddenly stiffened, her face like it might drip blood, stammering as she asked: ”Mu Yichen, why, why are you in my room, showering?”

”How many times have I told you, don’t call me by name, call me Brother Chen!”

Mu Yichen quickly wrapped a towel around his waist, showing no panic at all, at least in Qin Mu’s perception at the time, he definitely didn’t appear panicked.

Actually, his hands trembled when wrapping the towel, and his gaze too flickered away from her after glancing at her, being caught bathing by a girl, having grown up only recently, it would be strange not to be flustered.

He had always been calm from a young age, and whether he was panicked inside, it was hard for people to notice.

That memory is already somewhat distant, like buried in the deepest part of the heart, almost forgotten, yet today it suddenly resurfaces.

Perhaps morning makes one especially good at remembering?

”Do you want me to help tidy the bed?”

Mu Yichen, having dressed up, looking fresh, asked her, with eyes full of a ”Do you want it or not” attitude.

”Do as you please!”

Qin Mu, after finishing speaking, feeling embarrassed, finally remembered she needed to use the toilet, quickly pushed the door and went in.

Mu Yichen then began to make the bed, his expression no longer as cold and rigid as just now, somewhat more relaxed, even seemingly carrying a hint of joy at the corners of his eyes and brows.

Of course, it was still hard to notice.

”I heard you’re back. I want to invite you for lunch at noon!”

Lun Yun suddenly sent a WeChat message while he was tidying their pillows, glancing at her phone by the pillow, and Mu Yichen reflexively saw it.
