A Sorcerer’s Journey

Chapter 1404: Chapter 1405: Return (Part 1)

Lici World.

Floating in the turbulent layer, Lici Ore is the specialty resource of this world.

Azure clouds drift by as the occasional shadows of wizards in groups of three or five flash under the bright sun, driving dozens of slave creatures out of sight on the horizon, or a few metal robots and combat aircraft zip past.

Unlike those worlds where enormous void motherships and space fortresses engage in massive battles, Lici World sits on the periphery of the great worlds of both civilizations, with only lowly forces affecting such small worlds through mutual infiltration.

Whiz! Whiz! Whiz! Whiz!

Three Dark Wizards flash and disappear. In this world devoid of space fortress descents and without the protection of a Sorcerer’s Cloak empowered by Wizard’s Will, the scattered combat model of Dark Wizards is more flexible than the large-scale legions of Light Wizards.

At this moment, the three wizards dash forward with the wind at high speed, their wide wizard robes fluttering. Deep, wise, and cruel eyes gaze toward the endless darkness surging from the distant sea, the expression somber.

”Is it the plan of the Metal Destroyer, or a natural mutation of this world? Could it be the influence of some external powerhouses?”

The old witch mutters heavily to herself and suddenly ”Wow” spits out a mouthful of mixed yellow liquid.

These liquids quickly coalesce into a bizarre baby head, letting out a creepy laugh of ”Heeheehee,” while the lower body is that of a fly, ”Buzzbuzzbuzz” with translucent wings flapping at high speed.

”Heeheehee, what can I do for you?”

The baby’s head’s laughter is terrifying.

”Go, see what happens at the center of that darkness, what secrets lie beneath the sea.”

With a ”Buzz,” the synthetic beast disappears without a trace.

A younger male wizard with pale skin and an elegant demeanor holds tightly onto his Sapphire Magic Wand in his right hand, while a Black Crystal Ball floats atop his left open palm.

”I sense an incomparable Force of Spacetime. If it’s not the wormhole gate of the Metal Destroyer, then the Lever of Destiny must be prying open a large space fortress that’s about to descend. Regardless of the outcome, this world is likely to experience significant changes soon. We must prepare for the worst.”

Gurgle, gurgle, gurgle!

Amid several tumor-covered beasts, an old wizard drives his slave creatures, sighing: ”Ah...”

...

Crackle!

Ribbons resembling the Source of Darkness converge upward toward the sky. Suddenly, the darkness that had been weaving together by some melody is violently torn apart, followed by a black arc emitting a high-frequency vibration and a shrill noise resonating through the world, causing it to tremble.

The ground shook, the seas roared.

Crack!

The sound of a shattering mirror screen, as an unknown object engulfed in intense flames falls from a fissure. Following a faint ”Poof” sound, a pure destructive white light of several hundred meters in diameter flashes and incinerates everything.

In an instant, everything within dozens of kilometers is evaporated.

The specialized wizards and metal robots gathering towards the Source of Darkness are vaporized instantly, disappearing without a trace.

Rumble, rumble, rumble...

The flaming figure skids across the sky, leaving a black streak in its wake, as it plummets obliquely near the edge of the continent. With a ”Boom,” scorching sands and gravel soar to the sky before splashing down into the surrounding seas, a steam-laden crater a kilometer in diameter marking the continental edge.

”Metamorphosis Technique, uh... Huff, huff, damn, my magic power is too depleted.”

A frail voice, showing a hint of pain.

”Dammit, which world is this?”

Xiao Ba pokes its head out of the Dimensional Gap, glancing around before noticing Green’s injuries. It pauses, then suddenly breaks into laughter: ”Wahaha, Green Beast, how did you get burned into this shape, almost a black-carbon!”

At this moment, even as Green hastened the formation of the Path of Oblivion with the Dominator Almighty Soul, he remains impacted by the residual waves of the Star Orbit Cannon. His entire body charred, devoid of the vitality of flesh and blood, only the Face of Truth remains relatively intact, eyes blinking continuously.

”Whew... It’s truly not in vain, the Star Orbit Cannon. Even its residual power isn’t something a Stigma Sorcerer can withstand. The Sky Mountain Marine World has been thoroughly evaporated. Thank goodness for the formation of the Path of Oblivion with the Dominator Almighty Soul at the last moment, allowing me to escape that time-space, or else I likely would’ve turned to ash.”

As Green speaks, black smoke billows from his mouth, a rather forlorn sight.

”Wow, where’s your leg? Only one arm left; can it still function? Why not use the Metamorphosis Technique to repair it?”

Xiao Ba circles around the steaming crater, clicking its tongue at Green’s mummy-like state. High-level life forms truly are resilient; a low-level being would have long since become charcoal.

Whiz! Whiz! Whiz! Whiz...

Note: Unknown wizard creature detected with extremely strong energy magnetic field, in a heavily injured and weakened state, immediate destruction advised.

No fewer than twenty metal robots close in, propulsion rocket devices at their backs spewing flame, raising arms in unison to unleash a barrage of energy particle beams****.

”Gravity.”

Green extends his only remaining charred arm, making a sweeping gesture towards the heavens.

A vast gravity wave envelopes the robots, the magnetic field so potent it bends and refracts the Particle Beam Cannon, extinguishing them in the Element Light before Green. Following with a light press of his blackened palm, ”Rumble,” a thousand-meter handprint in the Earth Brand smashes the robots into metal debris.

In another part of the sky,

A few wizards gathered and witnessed the entire event firsthand. The majestic element easily invoked alterations in nature, and the fierce winds swayed them back and forth, eyes wide and mouths agape as they stared at the pitch-black figure in the crater’s center.

Lacking legs and missing an arm, only a charred torso and one arm remain, the face bearing the ashen Face of Truth, while the back of the head is equally scorched.

Though outwardly miserable, the wizard’s will concentrating on this figure is impressive indeed!

”Who is this great Stigma Sorcerer that has descended upon Lici World?”

Countless low-level wizards bow and prostrate, the highest rank among them being merely a Second-Level Wizard, unable to stand in the elemental turbulence caused by Green’s grievously injured form, swaying all around.

”My name is Annihilation. Which Stigma Sorcerer oversees this world?”

Suddenly, Green presents his mummy-like figure with terrifying presence before these low-level wizards. The violent winds instantly halt, and one could even see Green’s heart pulsing within the charred body, ”Thump, thump”!

”Gulp, reporting to the great Annihilation Sorcerer, this world is a newly contested peripheral small world from under the sway of the Metal Destroyer civilization. Neither side has deployed large legions to garrison, nor has any Stigma Sorcerer descended to lead; you are the first Stigma Sorcerer to arrive.”
