A Sorcerer’s Journey

Chapter 1122: Chapter 1124: War of Civilizations (21)

”Of course I’ve heard of it!”

The reply from the Strawman Trickster made Green and Xiao Ba almost simultaneously startle, staring wide-eyed in astonishment.

You’ve heard of it!?

In ancient times, to save the Wizard World, Antonio forcibly ascended to a Ninth-Level Sorcerer. Using his own body as a fulcrum during the brief moment of an hourglass in the Endless World, leveraging the immense wealth of the ancient Sorcerer world, he wielded the Destiny Lever Wand to pry the Wizard World away from its original world cluster, fleeing embarrassingly to this world cluster.

Undoubtedly, in ancient times, the ancient sorcerer world group, which gave birth to the brilliant and spectacular wizard civilization, had long been occupied by the abyss civilization.

The distances between the world clusters are too vast; the Endless World is immense beyond measure, with countless world clusters scattered throughout.

Some are in a state of small and large world wars, others are jointly controlled by several great powers, some have evolved peculiar and special rules, while others are powerful world clusters unified by civilization worlds.

The configuration size of world clusters varies greatly, as does their civilization foundation and progress.

The Wizard World’s Demon Hunting Expedition aims to unify this current world cluster and then attempt a counterattack back to the original world cluster to reclaim the wizard’s glory, saving the wizard world that is on the verge of crumbling.

Though a Stigma Sorcerer, Green knew that there was no abyss civilization around this world cluster, likely separated by great distances, with several world groups even intersecting in between—retaking it would be no easy task.

”Gah! You’ve really heard of it?”

”What about the abyss civilization now?”

Xiao Ba and Green hurriedly asked.

The Strawman Trickster, after a silence, said in a deep voice, ”It is a formidable and unparalleled terrifying civilization situated in the depths of the void. I only heard of it by chance from an elder of my race. It’s said that as far back as an era ago, the abyss civilization defeated the Void Walker civilization. The super civilization world that owns six great world clusters has already touched upon the balance of origin reproduction, reaching the Dimensional Mystery above it and the world origin below it, and has developed to the limits of civilization.”

Gulp.

Xiao Ba and Green, hearing the Trickster’s description of the abyss civilization, both involuntarily swallowed hard.

Only now did they finally realize.

The Wizard World had always regarded the abyss civilization as the ultimate goal to strive for with all efforts, as the opponent to beat, enduring disgrace and bearing the burden for several eras, believed they already had competitive strength.

However!

Yes, to the abyss civilization, wizard civilization was merely a developmental node in history, an opportunity; the surviving wizard civilization was developing, and the abyss civilization was also developing, but with the victor’s attitude, and even faster than the Wizard World.

Presumably, when they first encountered wizard civilization, the abyss civilization was already a superpower controlling multiple world clusters!

Now, it has developed into a colossal being occupying six world clusters, the end of the path of civilization.

Then the next step...

The origin reproduction balance, Dimensional Mystery, and world origin mentioned by the Strawman Trickster should all be Endless World cognitive perspectives within the Trickster civilization system, similar to the truth of destiny, higher and lower dimensions, and balance rules of wizard civilization.

”Has it grown this powerful? Then, what choice has the abyss civilization made, having developed into such a powerful entity?”

Green had already had some exposure to the inevitable rise and fall of civilization world history, and its continuous repetition.

Why, within world clusters, can some relics of extinct civilizations always be found, giving new, fragile civilizations opportunities for development?

Because once great civilization worlds affected Balance Rules, the Wheel of All Things, Origin Reproduction, and other such inexplicable supreme rules.

And the consequence of breaking these supreme rules is grave!

This would provoke a backlash from the Heavenly Dao, Truth of Destiny, Origin of All Things, Creator God, and high-dimensional beings—though names differ, they refer to the same—and enact a punishment through unseen, intangible, incomprehensible means, linking all worlds within the influence of the civilization together and jointly attacking the civilization world until it is totally annihilated.

Birth, development, rise, decline; the Endless World sees the development and reproduction of civilization ceaselessly, creating infinite splendor.

And to resist such a fate of extinction, a civilization that has reached its apex has another path to take, which is to... challenge the Truth of Destiny, challenge the Heavenly Dao, challenge the Origin of All Things, challenge the Creator God, challenge this higher-dimensional life!

If it can be defeated, there will naturally be no dimensional supreme rule binding civilizational development, no destiny weaving, allowing an excellently systematized civilization to pursue infinite development, exploring the so-called end of the Endless World.

Although no civilization has ever succeeded, this is the only way out!

This is also why the Metallic Destroyer civilization of this world cluster was able to arise from the ashes of the Xiahe civilization remains.

For this reason, Green asked about the choices of the abyss civilization.

”Ugh, since the war continues here, with no indications of ceasefire among Tricksters, Ironblood Galaxy, and Mother Nest warfare, that powerful abyss civilization situated deep in the void probably chose to attack first.”

To attack first, that means... challenge the Truth of Destiny!?

The abyss civilization, lifelong enemy of wizards, has reached such heights, challenging the Truth of Destiny, whether it falls into the same fate as Xiahe civilization, or succeeds?

No, it’s impossible to succeed—that’s the Truth of Destiny!

Even though the Truth of Destiny cannot be comprehended for what kind of existence it is, rationally, it shouldn’t be something easily overcome or even possible to overcome; it has transcended this dimension, existing in a new form, with a chasm between the two perhaps even greater than between First Level lifeforms and Endless Dominators.

Slowly nodding and contemplating for a while, Xiao Ba remained silent while Green had already freed himself from this transcendent issue.

Concerning the knowledge of the Trickster civilization, there might be certain mutual references with wizard civilization knowledge—it’s time for a good exchange.

Seven days later.

Boom...

With the glare of the Space-based Annihilation Cannon once again descending from the heavens, Green sighed while exchanging knowledge and information with the Trickster enthusiastically, and stood up from the seat.

”Sorry, I have to join the war now; I’m not sure when this war will end. Only when it’s over can I take you to meet the supreme beings of my race.”

During these days, both Green and the Strawman Trickster found themselves mutually benefiting.

”Alright, I’ll wait here for you.”

The Strawman, by now, was fluent in using the Wizard Language for communication, including some consonants and interpretations, mastered with great proficiency.

Whoosh...

Green took out the Crystal Ball, received a task to support the fourth frontline, leading over a hundred Sorcerer Legion under his previous command, along with the standardized tens of thousands of Sorcerer Legion, millions of Puppet Army, and an overwhelming Slave Monster Corps, departing with great momentum, the space airships in front crying out in a continuous ”vroom,” ”vroom” of progress.

”Though it’s the fourth frontline, in essence, it’s still the second frontline.”

Green shook his head, muttering.

The continuous heavy casualties from the war had already led to the complete collapse and cancellation of the second and third frontlines, it seems this Holy Tower Base is also nearing its limit.
