Six Months Contract With The Mafia God

This Chapter is Dedicated to ’’Shawnnie’’

Marco turned to his team. ”Double the investigation speed. I want fingerprint results in three hours, not six. I want security footage from every camera in this building reviewed and recovered if possible.

His men nodded, scattered to execute his orders.

POV: ENZO

Enzo sat in his car three blocks from Isabella’s hotel, his phone vibrating in his hand.

A text from one of his men.

The waiter has been taken care of. Body will be discovered in approximately five minutes. No trace back to us.

Enzo closed his eyes, felt the weight of what he’d just done.

He’d ordered a man killed.

A twenty-three-year-old kid who’d made a stupid mistake for three hundred dollars.

Dead.

Because Enzo needed him silent.

Because protecting Isabella meant eliminating witnesses.

Because love....or whatever this twisted thing he felt for her was, made him do terrible things.

Enzo deleted the message and started the car.

He’d corrupted the security footage. Killed the waiter. Created an escape route for Isabella.

Covered her tracks as best he could.

But it wouldn’t be enough.

Not forever.

Dimitri would find out eventually.

Would piece together the evidence, connect the dots, realize that he had helped Isabella escape.

And when that happened....

Enzo would have to choose.

His brother.

Or the woman he loved who didn’t love him back.

For now, he’d bought Isabella time.

A day. Maybe two.

Enough for her to prepare. To practice her lies. To steel herself for Dimitri’s interrogation.

After that....

After that, she was on her own.

Because he had done everything he could.

Everything he was willing to do.

And if it wasn’t enough....

If Dimitri found proof, if the investigation led to Isabella, if the Devil came for her....

he wouldn’t be able to save her.

Not from that.

Not from Dimitri’s wrath when it came to Eve.

He drove into the night, leaving the Grand Belmont Hotel, and his last shred of innocence behind.

POV: DIMITRI

The drive to the penthouse was fifteen minutes of hell.

Dimitri sat in the back of the Aston Martin, Eve cradled in his lap, her body burning against his.

She was conscious....barely, her eyes unfocused, her breathing fast and shallow.

And she was touching him.

Constantly.

Her hands sliding across his chest, his neck, his jaw. Her body writhing against him. Her lips against his throat, whispering words that made his blood run cold and hot all at once.

”Dimitri....please....”

”Shh. We’re almost home. Just hold on.”

”I can’t...it hurts....” Her hand slid lower, found the hardness in his pants, squeezed. ”I need you. Please. I need you inside me right now...”

Dimitri caught her wrist, held it firm. ”Eve, you’ve been drugged. We need to get you help first.”

”I don’t need help. I need you to fuck me.” Her voice was desperate, breathy. ”The heat...God, the heat is killing me. Please. Please just...”

”No.” His voice was absolute, even as his body responded to her touch, her scent, her need. ”Not like this. Not when you’re not in control.”

”I am in control!” She struggled against his hold, managed to get her other hand on him, palming his erection through his pants. ”See? You want this too. So please....”

Dimitri caught that wrist too, held both her hands immobile.

Eve made a sound of pure frustration, pressed her face into his neck.

”It hurts,” she whimpered. ”Everything hurts. My skin, my body, everything is too sensitive and too hot and I need....I need....”

”I know, cara mia. I know. Just a few more minutes.”

”I can’t wait a few more minutes!” Her body arched against him. ”Please, Dimitri. Please. I’m begging you. Just touch me. Make it stop.”

It was torture.

Holding the woman he loved while she begged him to take her.

Feeling her body move against his while knowing she wasn’t herself.

Knowing that whatever drug she’d been given was hijacking her responses, making her desperate in ways she wouldn’t normally be.

He couldn’t take advantage of that.

Wouldn’t.

No matter how much his body screamed at him to give her what she was begging for.

The car pulled up to the penthouse.

Dimitri carried Eve out, into the private elevator, held her trembling body against his as they ascended.

She was shaking now. Whimpering. Her skin so hot it felt like she was burning alive.

”Almost there,” he murmured. ”Almost home.”

The elevator doors opened.

Nonna was waiting, her face tight with worry. Beside her stood Dr. Castellano, one of Dimitri’s personal physicians, someone he trusted absolutely.

”Dimitri....” the doctor started forward. ”Bring her to the....”

Eve’s whispered words stopped everyone cold.

”Send him away.”

Dimitri looked down at her. ”Eve....”

”Send the doctor away.” Her eyes met his, and despite the drug, despite the desperate need ravaging her body, he saw clarity there. ”I know what’s wrong with me.”

Understanding crashed over Dimitri like a wave.

The symptoms. The heat. The desperate arousal.

Not poison.

Not some unknown compound.

An aphrodisiac.

Someone had drugged her with an aphrodisiac.

And the only way to relieve the symptoms....

”How long?” he asked, his voice tight.

”I don’t know. An hour? Maybe less?” Eve’s fingers dug into his shoulders. ”But it’s getting worse. And I need...I know what I need. So please. Send him away and help me.”

Dimitri looked at Dr. Castellano. ”Thank you for coming. But we won’t need your services tonight.”

The doctor’s eyes widened slightly. ”Mr. Valentino, I really should examine her...”

”That won’t be necessary.” Dimitri’s voice left no room for argument. ”Nonna, please pay the doctor for his time and his discretion.”

Nonna nodded, understanding in her eyes. ”Of course. This way, Doctor.”

Dimitri carried Eve past them, down the hall, into their bedroom.

He kicked the door closed behind him.

Set her on the bed.

Eve’s hands immediately went to his belt. ”Finally....”

”Wait.” Dimitri caught her hands again. ”Look at me. Really look at me.”

She did, her eyes glassy but focused.

”You’ve been drugged,” he said carefully. ”With something that’s making your body need sex. Need relief. But you’re not in your right mind. So I need you to tell me...really tell me...that you want this. That you’re choosing this. Not the drug. You.”

”I want this.” No hesitation. ”I want you. I’ve wanted you since the second the heat started. Since before that. Always.” Her voice broke. ”But right now, I need you. My body is on fire and the only thing that will help is you inside me. So please, Dimitri. Please stop being noble and fuck me.”
