The Ultimate Evolution

As they say, those who were ill for a long time would surely gain some medical knowledge too. In the same sense, those who had been fighting in the Realms for a long time all had some extent of surgical knowledge. Sheyan skillfully stopped Ronnie’s bleeding by wrapping his wounds with bandages that could continually recover HP.

Ronnie had originally planned to take Sheyan down at the cost of his own life, but right now, he was really confused with Sheyan’s actions. His confusion persisted until Sheyan opened the rear compartment of the Wasp. Ronnie’s jaw dropped.

“You… are you trying to cram me into that tiny little cargo hold? God, it’s as small as a toilet bowl in there!”

Sheyan shook his finger and said, “My friend, I must correct a mistake in your assumption, because it is not you, but you and Cyborg No. 1 that I want to cram into the cargo hold. Otherwise, why would I discard more than half of Mr. Cyborg No. 1?”

“But I have my own spacecraft! And it only takes ten minutes to get to it!” screamed Ronnie in anger.

Sheyan looked at him contemptuously. “Sometimes life and death are decided in a matter of seconds; ten minutes are a lifetime! Can you guarantee that the Predator mothership won’t come back in ten minutes? Can you be sure that they didn’t leave any weapons in the atmosphere of Uplos for an ambush? To predict the behaviour of a species from another universe based on the technology and way of thoughts of the humans is to seek death!”

Ronnie’s lips trembled violently. He never thought that this would be the reason Sheyan severed his hand and feet! But Sheyan’s words were not unreasonable. He was about to say something, but Sheyan instantly cut him off and asked, “Do you know why Pi element is so valuable?”

Ronnie certainly did not have the mood to discuss this matter at present. He answered impatiently, “Because it’s rare? Is it being used as a currency reserve like gold?”

Sheyan shook his head seriously and replied, “It’s not just because it’s scarce, but because it’s widely used in many cutting-edge technology in the Empire. The application I’m most familiar with is a kind of paint that has Pi element as its main ingredient. When the paint is applied to a spacecraft, the spacecraft can be stored in the storage spaces of us contestants.”

“Moreover, its anti-stealth and anti-detection effect is hundreds of times better than the conventional paint of these purposes! If the stealth effect of the Pi coating has a score of 90 points, then the next best coating available in the Empire can only achieve a score of 0.9 points.”

Ronnie was shocked. “Didn’t you take this spacecraft out of your personal storage?? Could it be…????”

Sheyan raised his eyebrows and grinned. “Let me introduce you to this baby in front of me. It happens to be one of the few high-end products that has a Pi coating. Don’t be fooled just because it looks exactly the same as your Wasp, the chance of it being discovered is at least 50% lower. Now, don’t you think that losing an arm and two legs is worth it?”

Ronnie was definitely convinced, but he still screamed in anger due to the humiliation. “You could have told me this first!”

“If you were mentally prepared, it would have been even more painful because you’d focus on the injuries for sure. But if I chop off your limbs without explaining myself to you, your resentment and anger at that moment will cover up most of the pain,” explained Sheyan without any care for how Ronnie felt. “OK, the fuel has been refilled. Say goodbye to this rich, lovely planet. We don’t have much time.”

After that, Sheyan asked, “One last question, Ronnie. Have you ever lived in dorms before? Did you sleep on the upper or lower bunk?”

Ronnie was confused by the question, but he answered honestly, “The lower bunk.”

“I see,” Sheyan grabbed Ronnie’s only remaining arm, forced him into the “toilet-bowl-sized” cargo hold of the Wasp, then threw in Cyborg No. 1 too, who had turned off his own power supply. Finally, Sheyan threw a chest on top of them.

It was followed by a series of angry shouts and abuses.

“Seaman! His nutrient solution is dripping into my nose!”

“My balls are going to be squashed, you bastard!”

“I’m being pressed into a cookie! God, help me!”

“…..”

Ronnie’s cry was muffled because he was at the bottom. Sheyan shrugged his shoulders and closed the hatch cover. Unfortunately, the cover refused to be shut. Sheyan tried a few times to close it but there was always a tiny gap preventing him from doing so. He finally lost his patience and stomped down on it hard.

With a loud bang and a sad scream, the damn cover finally closed and locked itself.

Sheyan whistled in relief. Hearing Ronnie’s faint shouts in the cargo hold, a weird smile crept onto his face.

“This is your punishment for concealing your true strength from me. Hmph, have a nice trip.”

Next, Sheyan looked in the direction the Cyclops disappeared to.

“Your Perceptive Sense sure is amazing. I already tried to be as inconspicuous as possible, but you still felt it. This is a reward for a Golden Side Mission, for God’s sake!”

Sheyan could not help but pulling out the Ukiyo-e from his personal storage. There was a faint golden sparkle on this rare, magical item. The Ukiyo-e, originally called the Yamato-e, was a painting style with very high realism techniques. Not only that, it also skillfully combined the texture of the painting with the texture of the woodblock, producing an exquisite work of art.

The surface of the Ukiyo-e was initially blank, but it now had a figure of a Cyclops on it. Even the injury on the edge of the Cyclops’ eye was vividly painted. The Cyclops looked so real that he seemed like he would walk out of the painting at any moment!

Then, Sheyan looked up at the sky one more time before jumping into his Wasp and starting the engine. The powerful propulsion force from the engine of the spacecraft quickly overcame the planet’s gravity. The Wasp rapidly accelerated towards the vast, star-dotted space.

Sheyan did not witness the tragedy of Dardanian and five other Wasps being struck down simultaneously, but he was really anxious all the same. It was impossible not to be.

Once he was in the outer space, no matter how strong his defence was, it was completely useless. It did not matter if he had 4000 HP, 40,000 HP, or 400,000 HP. Once his spacecraft was destroyed, he would not survive. This feeling of not being able to control his own destiny was extremely terrible!

Just as Sheyan flew out of Uplos’ atmosphere, the buzzer in front of him suddenly went off with a harsh warning sound. Sheyan’s heart and butthole both tightened. He then saw on the 3D holographic control screen that the entire atmosphere of planet Uplos was surrounded by a layer of invisible net!

The net was obviously invisible to the naked eye, similar to electromagnetic interference waves, but it was certainly not good news for Sheyan. If he tried to fly into space, he would definitely have to crash into the net!

But Sheyan had no choice – with the mothership bizarrely gone, there was no better chance than now. There was no way he would force himself to descend back onto the surface of planet Uplos. He could only choose to speed up and fly straight ahead!

When the Wasp came into the contact with the net and broke through it, Sheyan saw nothing out of the ordinary on the 3D holographic control screen except that the node that the Wasp came into contact with glowed and moved aside. Nothing happened to the spacecraft. Sheyan’s heart was in his throat the whole time, and when he saw that everything was fine, he finally relaxed. The Wasp drove safely into the Uplos asteroid belts zone.

It was worth mentioning that the route Sheyan chose was not straight towards the Kitty Hawk. Just think about it, why was the Predator mothership absent? It must be in pursuit of someone, and that person who dared to force his way out would definitely fly straight towards the Kitty Hawk. So, if Sheyan chose the same route, he would probably encounter the Predator mothership halfway there.

Sheyan was really eager to return to base, and because he already had experience in passing through the Uplos asteroid belts and was more familiar with the control this time, he was a lot faster than when he came to Uplos. He shuttled through the asteroid belts zone at an astonishing speed.

Suddenly, a faint surprised voice came from the communicator in front of Sheyan.

“FJ01, FJ01, this is the Kitty Hawk Base. Do you copy? Over.”

Sheyan’s heart jolted, and then he was overjoyed! That’s right, now that he had flown past the asteroid belts, he was free from most of the communication shackles set up by the Predators, so naturally, he could now communicate with base!

Sheyan immediately replied, “This is FJ01! Awaiting instructions!”

Sheyan instantly heard a cheer erupt on the other end. It then became Major General Mungo’s hoarse voice.

“Is this Seaman? Listen to me, the situation is very complicated right now. Your companion is driving a Predator sub-ship and will successfully arrive here in 10 minutes at most, while the Predator mothership is in close pursuit. But you’re in a dangerous situation yourself. When you left Uplos, you’re detected by the magic web the Predators set up. Although the mothership can’t come to you, it launched two unmanned battleships to chase you down!”
